    Song/Píseň: Girlfriend In A Coma
    Album: First Between 3rd and 4th (EP - 2004)
    Lyrics/Text:
Girlfriend in a coma, I know, I know, it's serious,
Girlfriend in a coma, I know, I know, it's really serious.
There were times when I could have murdered her,
But you know I would hate anything to happen to her,
No I don't want to see her.
Do you really think she'll pull through?
Do you really think she'll pull through?
    Doohoo ohoo oo hoo
Girlfriend in a coma, I know, I know, it's serious,
Bye, bye, bye, bye, bye, bye, baby godbye.
There were times when I could have strangled her,
But you know I would hate anything to happen to her.
Would you please let me see her.
Do you really think she'll pull through,
Do you really think she'll pull through,
    Doohoo ohoo oo hoo
Girlfriend in a coma, I know, I know, it's serious.
Bye, bye, bye, bye, bye, bye, baby godbye.
Bye, bye, bye, bye, bye, bye, baby godbye

His vocals and instrumentation sound gorgeous, but this version strips the song of its implied humor and irony. I always loved that Morrissey sounds, at best, ambivalent about the girl's condition.

+LibrosOverHos I think Josh accentuates and makes love to the song with the guitar. ... That is his point for the song , I think. I am going to learn how to play this .... it's beautiful guitar for us guitar fingerstyle acoustic nerds... Peace 0-

Playing it strait is a good choice imo. You are never going to match the dripping version of the smiths. This sounds like a song that would get slotted into a generic romcom and that adds a layer of a different kind of irony I appreciate.
