You really should drill those last 2 holes & secure all 4 corners. Being sturdy moving the seat back & forth is a whole lot different then hitting something at 30 mph. You don't want that seat twisting & smashing your head into the a pillar. Seats look good though thanks for sharing!
Hi! Did they break in nicely? Are they still comfortable? I'm 5"2 and just bought a Jeep Wrangler! But I'm looking at these to replace it as the ones that came with it kill my back - the lumbar support is so far out.
I have a 98 single can Tacoma also and I just was wondering how long did it take to install the seats and where did you sell the bench seat since I have no storage space in my apartment
Would you say that these sport seats have a more “truck” feel? The stock seating position in my 1999 Tacoma is terrible. I’m hoping these seats will raise and level the seating position. Thanks!
Blindedbythelight, Yes. The stock bench seat that was in the truck felt like you were sagging down into the seat. These seats definitely make you set a little higher and flatter then the bench seat did.
Does it bother you that there is no trim piece for the back now that the bench is gone? Have you thought of anything to put up? The seats look good in your truck but I'm on the fence as whether to reupholster my bench or do what you did. Thanks
It doesn’t bother me. The main reason why I put in bucket seats was so that my wife could drive the truck. She is 5’2” and I am 6’2”. When she would drive with the bench seat, my knees would be smashed in the glove box. She couldn’t also reach the pedals with the bench seat all the way forward with out a pillow or something behind her. Now she can reach the pedals fully and enjoys driving the truck. I am still not sure what I am going to do with the back panel. I might just paint it and mount some storage bags or boxes to the back.
@@jtlclark It would be nice putting whatever you do with it on youtube. I'm was thinking about speaker box fabric but paint would probably be better. Thanks.
yea im 6'3 and i like cute little short curvy chicks myself,i am doing a build i bought a 2005 chevy blazer and i bought a engine out of a 2011 chevy hd2500 its called a L96 6.0 its 360 hp & 380 fpt.i needed some seats so i bought racing seats and omg im a big guy with really broad shoulders,i have to wear mens big & tall shirts cause of my shoulders so m having to send the seats back so i bought a set of these after googling racing seats for big guys,i got the ones with vinyl on the sides and cloth in the middle ive never had that before, but yea im pretty excited glad to hear they are comfy for a tall dude,so hell yea thanks for the video, wish i lived up in your area,im tired of the texas heat but oh well, and omg the girls here are stuck up little you know whats, damn lol later enjoy your seats i know i will,i'll be glad when my engine swap is complete and i can stomp on the pedal to the right haha later
onewheelup I almost moved to Texas but the heat would kick my butt! I’m a cold weather person. Your project sounds awesome! At some point I want to swap in a bigger engine into this little Tacoma. And straight axel it. But that will have to wait for a while. Thanks for watching my video!
It was bolted with two bolts in the front. The cab had the four bolt holes from the factory but only the two outside holes where used for the factory bench seat.
I think it would fit. I don’t have a center console as of right now. The front of the seats right behind the shifter is 7 and 1/4 inch apart from each other. That is the parts of the seats that are the closest.
These are the ones I wanna put in my 2000 extended cab the 60 40 Seats are uncomfortable and I’d rather have the space in the middle for a custom center console and maybe I’ll have enough room for a extra speaker too
I have never seen a single cab that had bucket seats from the factory so I can not answer that. I am thinking about trying to see if the extended cabs have something across the back that I could make work.
I like the new bucket seats much better than the bench seat. They are much more comfortable. The bench seat that was replaced was pretty worn out though. I mainly replaced the bench seat so my wife could drive the truck with out my knees being in the dash on the passenger side. My wife likes these seats as much as the ones in our 2017 Tacoma.
Right now I am still using the stock seat belts. The buckles are mounted the the floor and went through the bottom of the bench seat. They are not rigid so they lay down when not in use. At some point I will replace the buckle with something that is more rigid so it stays up right. I just have not found the right buckle yet. When I finally find the right ones I'll put up another video.
heres a link to the seats themselves, between 600-1000 for a set depending on what material you choose corbeau.com/sport-seat.html im not sure about the brackets themselves though
The seats I have are cloth so they are around 650 for the pair. I found them on sale on 4wheelparts.com for 530. The brackets are 125 each. I spent just under 800 for all of it. I looked around at junk yards for used seats out of subarus and 4runners to install but they wanted 150 per seat and I would have to make a bracket work so I just went ahead and bought the new ones.
Kyson Spencer sorry for the long time to reply. I ordered both the brackets and seats from 4Wp.com. www.4wheelparts.com/p/corbeau-sport-reclining-seats-pair-black-cloth-90001pr/_/R-GLCD-90001PR
DopeScope11 You can go into the corbeau website and find the brackets you need for your application and then google search the part number. I got mine from 4WP.com.

Just an FYI the bolt holes for the rear inside brackets are on the side of the short transmission tunnel…..
I followed your link from the Corbeau review. 4 years later, do you still recommend these seats? [here's hoping you still youtube regularly]
Yes I still like the seats. They have held up good and still look really nice. I would recommend them still.
I have a 98 single can Tacoma also and I just was wondering how long did it take to install the seats and where did you sell the bench seat since I have no storage space in my apartment
It was only a couple hours. I sold it on facebook market place in three days of posting it. Person bought it for an older toyota pickup.

Was your original bench seat bolted down with 4 bolts in the front or 2 bolts in the front? Thanks
It was bolted with two bolts in the front. The cab had the four bolt holes from the factory but only the two outside holes where used for the factory bench seat.
i have 1997 tacoma with stock buckets, will the brackets work?
Forestsoft, I have no idea on that. You could probably email corbeau and see what they say.
The seats look great, do you think there is enough space for the stock 01-04 center console?
I think it would fit. I don’t have a center console as of right now. The front of the seats right behind the shifter is 7 and 1/4 inch apart from each other. That is the parts of the seats that are the closest.

How did these seats hold up? Are they still providing support?
They are holding up good! They still are supportive and in good condition.
@@jtlclark - Good to know! Thanks. I’m still on the fence about upgrading. Thinking about going with the Corbeau Moab seats for my 2003 Tacoma.
Does the single cab come with a trim piece for behind the seats?
I have never seen a single cab that had bucket seats from the factory so I can not answer that. I am thinking about trying to see if the extended cabs have something across the back that I could make work.
Jeffrey Thomas Lee Clark sorry I meant like trim on the actual metal backing behind the seats
@@kevinbarron589 It does not come with anything across the back.
How's the comfort on the seats vs stock?

What's the seatbelt situation like converting from a bench?

How much did all of this cost, very I terested

How much Taller are these than stock?
Skyler Nikolas They are not any taller then the bench seat that was in from the factory.
Can you post some links to all this stuff in the comments?

seat brackets are wrong for your model it must be D1104 and D1105 fyi
So maybe this guy had the 60/40 bench style? I have a 98 single cab bench seat
Did you ever replace seatbelts?
phxamigo No I’m still using the ones that were in it with the bench seat.
Where did you get the brackets
DopeScope11 You can go into the corbeau website and find the brackets you need for your application and then google search the part number. I got mine from 4WP.com.
you notice a change in height?
slowkidatpay42 They seem to be the same height as the bench seat.
