Thank you for posting up year of model of XJ in your description. Most assume that the rails and mounts are the same, they are not as we know there are powered and manual units.
I purchased the black leather version of those seats for my XJ with the Corbeau brackets. I didn't have to switch the driver and passenger seat to get them to fit but it was tight. For the money I was expecting a little better quality. My headrest do not even ratchet. I guess there QC is a little lacking. They are now in our van and the XJ has a set of leather ZJ seats.
I was also expecting a little better quality. My ratcheting headrests already broke after reaching into the back and putting a little bit of pressure on them
Would this seat be a good replacement for someone taller? Im 6 foot 4 and my partner is abt 5 foot 8, when im in the driver seat for some reason its lower to the bottom of the car so when i sit in my passenger side i barely fit in the car at all and almost have no headroom, looking to be taller in the driver seat but not too tall so that i hit my head, like an inch maybe inch and a half max of headroom for myself, would these work?
Since you couldn't do it I was cursing them bolts I was cursing them like you wouldn't believe. Also if I do that I'm buying their brackets they can have my money, I'll probably spend more than that at aspirin trying to do it the other way.
Great video. Swapping the seats so that the recliner lever fits is a great idea.
Thanks!

For the cost thata not good. Maybe mine broke in transit because I was surprised when those ratcheted and mine never did.
Looking for a follow up review. After having them several months have they broken in to where you don't feel they sit high?
They definitely broke in and sit much lower compared to when they were first installed
Soo i need new seats but i need lumbar support.
How are they holding up? I’m thinking about putting these in my 80 series.
So far so good they are definitely breaking in nicely
If you would have used a magnetic inductive heating tool you have not snapped any bolts...
I need me one of them!

Honestly I think these would make a tall feller like yourself sit way too high with negative headroom
@@JeepinJimmy thanks!
Sooooo vinyl floor soon to come?
No
Will they only fit the corbeau seats?
The brackets? Not sure, but you could probably fab them up a little to fit pretty much anything
