    Great review! I'm looking at the TM-3XD GRENIER boot. Not sure if it's just cosmetically different than this boot. Also, I'm about a 26.5 cm foot. Thinking about the 8.5's. Would you agree? Still need to get my width measured. Don't think I have overly wide feet tho. Thanks!

    • @thegoodridesnow

      Thanks! Having wide feet is a deal breaker but if ur normal to narrow they fit true to size. Seems cosmetic only. Im a true size 9 and size 9 fit me well. At an E width I was too wide. If yhey made a wide like the TM-2 This would be my everyday boot.

    Hi, great review! I'm a size 11 on right foot and 10.5 on left when measured in the device. I'm a narrow foot and ankle. Would these work in 10.5 for me cause I found a pair for sale for a good price I believe they are 2021 and never been used. But I can't try them till I get them. Also won't be able to return. I tried size 10 at the store today toes were a bit cramped. Also do you think nitro team will work better for me with narrow foot? If yes what size. Cause I made a mistake bought nitro 9.5 a year ago and it's crushing my toes. Appreciate your response and love your reviews!

      Thanks I hate the idea of cramping your right foot at 11. These fit tight so probably best to go 11 and add boot fitting foam to fill in the Left/10.5 foot.

    Solid review man. I had a pair of TM-2 XLTs a few years ago and found out the hard way that they were too narrow for me as well, such a bummer cause on paper they were everything I could have asked for in a boot. I was a HUGE fan of the Tactical ADV, until last year's gold liner ruined them with the heel/achilles pain for me as it did for you. The Kendo seems to be your go-to now, do you find they're stiff enough? Tried them on and they're as soft out of the box as my Tacticals became after a couple seasons. Torn between Ions with speed lace or Kendos. Wish Ions just had traditional lacing... (also wish Burton would use straps like 32, vans etc)

    • @thegoodridesnow
      @thegoodridesnow  Год назад +1

      Thanks and I think we are foot brothers. Yeah so bummed Adidas put the Gold Level liner in and then pulled a Nike. Yes the Kendo is my daily driver now and I just got another pair for this season. I like them and they are a touch stiffer this year, but I wish they were a bit more stiff. I just can't get something else to fit as well and have enough shock absorption. They feel a good bump or 2 below a Tactical and a bump below the TM-3XD. I really wish ThirtyTwo made a wide TM-3XD but I digress. I would say that with a good supportive ankle strap like I have with my Atlas they work pretty well but I'm always wanting a little more. Now the SLX could work as they are more responsive/stiffer than the Kendo's by a little bit but man they are pricey and I don't like the hard plastic X-Base tech on the bottom of the sole. I'm also giving the Ride Fuse a go this year but just wish the sole had more shock absorption. It's less than what I have with the Kendo's by a good bit. The K2 Enders could be a good choice as well. The last option is the ThirtyTwo TM2 Wides. I almost went with them this year but I preferred the toe box of the Burton's better. The ThirtyTwo's were wider everywhere but they have that narrow toe box in comparison to Burton, Ride, and K2. I'd try those all on if you can and hope this helps.

      @@thegoodridesnow haha yeah we seem to have very similar boot experiences I think, and Adidas blew it big time for sure. Want to like the Kendos so bad but I ride my Custom X a lot here on the east coast and need a boot to power it and know they'll be too soft outside of powder and spring riding on other boards. They'd be super fun on the softer days and I'm considering getting them for that, but my OG Tactical ADVs that are medium/soft now kind of still work for that for the time being. Tried on the SLX, just not quite there for me for a couple reasons. Have worn K2 and Ride in the past, they were alright just not the best fit for me but I should try some on again as I haven't for a few years. I do appreciate really good shock absorption as well though, which is why Vans isn't at the top of my list either. The Ions fit great, and I can probably get along good enough with the speed lace since they fit so nicely, the only thing that worries me a bit about them beyond the lacing is not having an articulating cuff which I tend to prefer, but that backstay seems legit. Medium-stiff boot with an articulating cuff = winner for me. I'm probably gonna give the Ions a go at this point. But I'm right there with you that if the TM-2 XLT or TM-3XD were available in a wide, I have a feeling I'd be all over them.
      Thanks for your input James! You pretty much look at and break down gear the same way I do so it's almost like watching myself review gear I've never ridden haha. Appreciate & love everything you do man! Keep it up \m/

      Thanks for the good words and best of luck Dave. I'll hit you up if I come across anything else that makes my feet happy. The Ion's are great but just wish they had more articulation at the ankle or some other tech to preserve the flex longer like the Kendo's and SLX. Still that might be the best call for you for now. One other thought is to buy a Burton toaster liner or any after market liner from Burton and put it in your Adidas Tactical ADV shell. That way you get around the dreaded Gold Level liner. Cheers!

    Would you think the ThirtyTwo TM-3XD is suited to do some flatground tricks and buttering as well? I like to do some hard carving combined with some flatground stuff and small park features. Or would these be to stiff and is the thirtytwo lashed more recommended in my case? I have a pair DC Judge boots now but the Boa system broke down and I lost my trust in that so looking for a new boot with traditional lacing system now. Many thanks in advance and cheers.

    • @thegoodridesnow
      @thegoodridesnow  Год назад +3

      I think the TM3-XD is a better all around boot than the Lashed and I wish they made it in a wide. It would become my daily driver. I don't think it would be too stiff. Its a very mediumish boot that is balanced for a little of everything and it won't break down as fast as the Lashed. The lashed is a better park/buttering boot but the TM3-XD is a much better all around boot so go for that based on how you describe you ride.

    How snug are the fit of the thirtytwos? Curious about the Banditos vs the Kendos. I'm an 11 in Adidas and Deelux. Currently digging the whole surfstyle flex boots.

    • @thegoodridesnow
      @thegoodridesnow  Год назад +1

      For me with a size 9 E...too snug. For you it depends on your foot width. I'd keep it D and below. C or B would be better. Last year's TM-3D fit true to size. I tried on the 2023's and they felt maybe 1/4 to 1/2 size too small. They might be ok with a heat mold though and maybe the liner was just super cold.

  • @j0hn22

    How does the weight compare on these to the TM-2 XLTs? I hike a lot and don't want the extra weight in my feet but everything else sound promising. Also, I've always sized up from 9.5 to 10s in ThirtyTwos, across their entire range. I guess I should try these.

    • @thegoodridesnow
      @thegoodridesnow  Год назад +1

      Sorry but I forgot to weigh them when I had them. I think they felt in between the Kendo and Baldface. The Baldface was 2.6lbs and the Kendo 2.2. I love that you can put a stiffner in the side and it really helps side hilling if you split or drift board or use Union Rovers.

    • @thegoodridesnow

      This is more narrow than the Aura Pro for sure. I would say these days Vans is a little wider than Burton and Burton is wider than ThirtyTwo.

    Have the 32 tm3 grenier and my feet hurt. Started with the size 9 TM3 loon and they were too big after a few days so I got the 8.5 Grenier and last year on my longer foot my longer 2nd toe was black and blue. I wouldn't buy those ELite liners again for sure. i got skinny ankles and legs and found there to be too much space around my foot especially the top despite my toes being slammed into the front. Heels held down fine.
    That velcro strap on one of my legs maxed out couldn't pull it tight enough.and stick the velcro.
    The pluses were mentioned. You can customize them, the footbeds are good and they are pretty stiff and I never kept those plastic inserts in. I've put 130 days on them and they've held up alright. Some stitching is failing and the eyelets on the ankle are frayed and covered in ducktape.
    Yeah pretty responsive just didn't fit my feet well.
    Now considering a TM2 since the liner is different or a Deeluxe team id. 32 boots never answers emails so they can suck a carrot. I've had some good experiences and emails with different board companies but not with 32. They don't care. They are popular enough now so you can eff off.

    • @thegoodridesnow
      @thegoodridesnow  Год назад

      Man it's soo tough to help with boots as feet are soo different. Maybe give Salomon a try as they make a pretty narrow, low volume boot. I'm an E width and I can barely ride the regulars. I can really only test Salomon wide's effectively.

      @@thegoodridesnow Any other thoughts on which boots might be more low volume? I've tried a lot recently. 32 is a no, Deeluxe is a no, Rome is a no... Seems like Ride, K2 and maybe Salomon are lower volume. Not really a fan of Ride but as far as their boots go they seem to fit the best so far. Saw your reviews on the 92, Fuse and another.

      92 and Fuse could for sure work. I like their fit and overall rid a lot. So could Burton Kendos. You should do some heat molding fore sure though with the most comfortable fitting one you choose.

    • @thegoodridesnow

      Depends on your foot width. I would pass on these boots if you are wider than a D. If you can tell me your true size and width on a Brannock scale I might be able to help you better. Lots of people who say they are between sizes like you often have a wide foot and often have to size up to fit narrower boots/shoes.

      @@jordanmolinaro6507 Cool! So a D should work but that's at the wider end of what I would recommend based on how they fit my E width feet. I would go 9.5 then. Schedule solution to keep riders fresh mentally: The riders can handle more riding in shorter periods of time and this would allow a longer Offseason which is what is required.
    This was shown during the pandemic with residencies. So to shorten the number of weekends that the riders race without sacrificing rounds.
    Supercross- have 7 Friday night and Sunday race weekends. This would shorten the overall season by 7 weeks and I don’t think that the Racers would be struggle to recover in that period. Depending on scheduling and marketing a Tuesday night race could also be an option.
    Motocross - To promote change, 4 rounds should be 3 x20 minute motos, this would work in the hot races also. You would then be able to have 24 motos over 10 rounds, again shortening the season by 2 weeks
    This would then add an additional 9 weeks off in the off-season for the riders and not sacrifice any racing as that could affect the series financially.
    Track fixes, the fans want to see great main events. I think the whoops should be covered for the heats & LCQ with an artificial grass to preserve them.
    Lappers & Other attack Breakdown fixes: During the night show, riders circulating in dead last from the end of the second lap onwards should be black flagged until there are only 12 riders left. This will reduce the danger of lappers and also if you calculate the number of laps that are done in the tracks this would reduce it dramatically.
    All realistic and easy to implement fixes
