That's great! It took me 12 years to grow it this long from shoulder length. That's when I got into church. I don't regret it! God Bless!

Thanks for showing us this bun technique. I have long hair, and have made a vow to not cut it until I reach my goal. It was a month after I made that vow that I realized how much I hate my hair. Dealing with it's been a struggle ever since! XD

And, well, bun hair styles are really around for a very long time, but there are hundreds of different styles. Bread is also around for thousands of years, and despite of this do many people not know how to bake bread/bun long hair.
I'm growing mine out too, below shoulder-length now - longer than what it was 3 years ago (pixie length), but still a ways to go before I compete with sameese79. I can't wait!

Finally! I've been hunting for easy hairdo to do in the mornings. I don't have that long hair. Only to my lower back but it's thick and the hairstrains themselves are thin so it's hard to do anything with this hair. This I think may work! :D

Actually, this is a new bun for me, I really like the way she showed how to arrange it.
And yes, there are men who LOVE long hair, although that shouldn't matter when you have a relationship, just like anything the other person should like you for the person you are, not your hair color or length or skin color or eye color or breast size or waist size etc.
I didn't see her say she invented the bun, just showing how it's done on very long hair. :)

I have long hair (not as long as yours) and i always wanted to know how to put it in a bun. I have a huge-toothed clip to keep my hair up, but sometimes due to the weight of it being up, i get headaches. I was wondering if this way of wearing it may cause the same problem. Your video was very helpful!

you seem so sweet, I never cut my hair for religious reasons, but my question is how can i get mine that long. It has seemed to stop growing and is getting thinner, do you do anything special.... You have gorgeous hair, thanks for uploading this... Many blessings to you
1. Stop dyeing your hair. 2. Stop cutting it/Trim only once or twice a year. 3. Stop using heat, blow dryers, straighteners, etc. 3. Wash hair every other day. Then after your hair is long enough every 3 days. 4. Keep your ends protected and conditioned. Braids and buns are great. Oil your ends or use a very good leave in.

Your hair is gorgeous! Do you ever have the ends trimmed? Mine is not as long as yours, but I'm slowly getting there. Center part to ends, mine is about 40 inches. But I've never had success with bobby pins. Mine is too slippery, just slides on out. I'll be watching for more of your videos. My husband doesn't want me to ever cut my hair, but sometimes I just want it to be different for a day. And I know about that hubby rolling over on it routine! "Ow ow, you're on my hair!"

there are beautiful hairpins that can be used to. As using eating utensils can be a little weird. multifunctional though.

Wow, you have some awesomely long hair! How long was it when you started growing it out 12 years ago? I am sorry you lost a lot of it when hospitalized last summer. :-( I will have to try this version of the Chinese bun. I am used to splitting my ponytail into two and alternately twisting them around each side of the chopsticks and I never thought to cross over the front of the chopsticks before. Which brand of hair elastics do you use, I seem to keep popping mine when putting them in? ThankU!
@jojobongofuzzymalony It doesn't take very long to wash. Maybe 5-7 minutes in the shower unless I'm leaving the conditioner in for a while. I don't straighten or curl it. It's naturally wavy. I just keep it in a bun most of the time to keep from snagging it or stepping on it. :)
