- This is a great project to make from scraps of wood. I made mine from maple and walnut and some ribbon from the dollar store. It was also a great afternoon having my kids in the shop with me, even though they didn't enjoy some aspects of it (Sanding lol)

We got them as stocking stuffers back in the late 1950s and I haven't seen one again until just now. Thanks very much for bringing back a fond memory ! Trying to figure out how it worked back then was mind boggling too - I never did 'get it', lol

It currently is my kids as well! Their grandparents have one and they asked me to make them each one.

Thanks! I didn't realize that anyone would miss my videos. I have a young family and I own two businesses. I do want to have more regular uploads.
