    You showed the Dewalt
    saw that doesn’t take a Dado but the almost identical model WILL take a dado. I believe the Skill also takes a dado. A high percentage of DIY’ers are not making large custom projects and do not need a cabinet saw. A job site table saw with a rack and pinion fence will be fine for them.

    • @WesHamstra
      @WesHamstra  9 месяцев назад +1

      Getting started out it would be fine. But for the price of a job site saw you can find a used cabinet saw for the same price.

      I've not had any luck finding anyone willing to part with a cabinet saw for the same price as one of the two saws he listed, must depend on where you live. @@WesHamstra

      @@WesHamstra I think my 3d printer up’d my organization by 150%. For about a month a measured, designed and 3d printed treys and holders for combination wrenches, pliers, cutters, socket extensions and screwdrivers. Now everything has its place and everything is in its place. Aside from the top of the toolbox where you can typically find 1 or 2 of the tools I used in my last project… still working on myself with that bad habit

      I have a few 3d printers now but the one I started with is still the one I use the most. I have a Creality Ender 3 Pro. This is one of the most cost-effective machines on the market which has made it one of the most popular machines on the market with a huge selection of aftermarket and OEM replacement parts, accessories and upgrades. The machine typically retails for less than $200 but I would suggest spending another $40-$60 on aftermarket glass beds and the Creality-brand direct drive unit as this will make the machine run much smoother.
      I was late seeing your reply because I was in the shop routing with a router template I designed and printed myself which is another excellent use of the printer that has absolutely increased my accuracy and ability woodworking. So much that I can confidently say that the 3d printer is one of my most important woodworking tools. I have made countless jigs, templates and custom tooling from idea to 3d design to solid part and application. If my printer died tomorrow, I’d buy another the same day.
      I am not at all affiliated with Creality and can only provide information relevant to my own personal experience but I am happy to answer any questions and share any knowledge I have regarding this.

    I disagree with router bit set. I started with a multipack similar to yours to get familiar with them and a router. Although I do agree with you that you only use the same few bits and those are the ones replaced with a quality ones.

    I can not agree with all that you shown, which I am sure you would have expected. I have built a metal building shop and a metal building House. All of the column supports had 4 holes on the bottom to be bolted to concrete. All of my tools were in storage so I went to Harbor Freight and bought two of the most cheapest hammer drills incase one broke on me. All of the holes needed to be drilled were with those hammer drills. The only reason I used the second one was used was because on the first one I let it slip out of my hand and and it wrapped the cord around the drill so bad it broke the power cord. I could go on but will stop here.

    I love Picquic screwdrivers. I am field technician and use 14 inch long CK drivers at work but the Picquic are amazing and what I have everywhere at home. I love the Super8+ and the smaller Dash7. SixPac+ is very near as good as Super8. I have several sets of Klein and the Crescent brand Diamond coated tips are really good for automotive. I cannot help myself when I see Acetate handles like the green Heyco or the square shaped red acetate Wiha handles.

      I agree. Domino is way over priced. But when you think of what a domino can all do. It’s actually worth it. You can’t say shit about the domino unless you’ve had one.
      As far as the table saw goes. The saw stop is what I have. Any cabinet saw or any saw that has a bigger top, fence, and motor is much better then a job site saw. You can find this on market place for a few $100 more then a new dewalt table saw.
