What if Dark Souls was made by Playdead?
A graphics mod for Dark Souls: Prepare to Die Edition was recently come to light that addresses this very important question.
Using the ReShade tool, this mod is able to remove all other layers from the game, leaving only the depth layer, the effects of which can be seen above.
Unfortunately, this also removes the HUD and particle effects. However, this lends to the stylised nature of the mod as well as an added bonus challenge.
