There are only about seven people and we all got to know each other because our teacher makes every one gather in a circle and asks us certain questions that pertain to the class but also give us a look into the other person's views and personality. I am taking a college success class bc it's mandatory for students taking extracurricular classes.

marissa watson I literally sit down to read a book then like 3 of my friends start talking to me and expect me to listen. I sometimes just agree to whatever they said, and continue to read. They start talking to me again. I don't want to ignore them because then I'd feel bad. Emotions are confusing.

I’m in heaven! I can easily turn down going out. I can totally focus on what I want to do, and I don’t have to explain it to anyone. I even like wearing the masks. I can not talk and act like the mask is holding me back. I don’t have to explain that I just don’t want to “small talk”. I bike and traffic is a lot less, and I often have the road to myself. Plus being home not working!!! It’s just wonderful staying home in my pjs all day!!!!

My teachers or other grown ups that I know don't really think that I am depressed because I am alone the whole time but that is more because they know me pretty well... But if I meet people who I don't know really well I'll get a lot of questions like "Why are you not siting by the rest of your class?" or they will give me the 'you can always talk to me if something is wrong' speech..
And that is pretty anoying and at those times I just kinda want to scream: THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH ME I AM JUST REALLY REALLY INTROVERT!!!
But since I do not want to be rude so most of the time I just nodd and reply...

Yes, that is freedom. And pardon me if I explain it a little bit different: I only have to isolate myself when other people force themselves onto me. Otherwise I would not have to isolate myself. If other people would allow me to just be myself, without intruding into my personal space, then there would be no problem to begin with.
The great thinkers of past times have been mostly people of solitude, enjoying their free time for thinking and learning.
It is not the introverts that should have to explain themselves but the extroverts who think they can force themselves onto an introvert.
I would tell such imbeciles that if they don't understand an introvert, they better leave that introvert alone to begin with. But no, that is not good enough.

It sucks when you're an introvert, but your friends are extroverts, so they start to hang out with each other without you since you rarely want to go anywhere for long periods of time.
EnderHeart5911 Most of my friends are extroverts and that's fine. They go out all the time and I just join them the rare occasions I want to. It can be a bit annoying when they insist a lot but my closest friends are used to it, I don't see the problem.

Yes, it does. My friend wants to hang up once or more often a month. For me one call is enough for one or two weeks of contact. I like to share some news (not about my life) every day though.
In my case I stopped doing anything with those friends that cant take no for an answer.
I admit though I am not that good either cuz I would 99% of the times say no if they didnt annoy me so much.
Anyways...got no friends now and it feels good. :)

Here and there when something specific occurred that went there made me very sad and thinking about it made me even more sad,but after a week I was back to my old self.

actually, how do you not really be lazy if you are an introvert? i believe im an introvert, but still do some excercises at home (push ups, lunges, attempted L sit-ups) but when im not doing that im sitting allll the time eating

honestly, i didnt think i was an introvert until being told so, taking a couple quizzes, and some other things. I think im somewhere between introvert and ambivert, mainly because i dont get much of a choice in some things that would allow me to be more introverted. and the reason id LIKE to think im one is because, lets be honest, it just sounds cool you know? you dont have to talk much, you can laze around at home watching vids or playing games, and occasionally talking to your few good friends
The things i mostly hate for being an introvert:
- When my family tells me to go outside to hang out with my cousins
- When there is a group project
- When someone says "Why are you so quiet?" "Why dont you smile?" Or "Why are you staring at the wall?"
- When the new teacher says: "Say something about yourselfs!" Or "Introduce yourself in the front of the class!"
- When i see my classmates in public
- When i told my mom im Introvert but still complains why i dont chat much

I think introverts don't like to talk unless it is absolutely necessary, and this may be because they see no point in talking, no motivation as nothing important will come from that. "When you talk, you only express what you know. When you listen, you may learn something new". They listen a LOT and think a LOT but to themselves.
I"m totally an introvert according to this video, but I don't mind talking in front of groups at all. I think that's more about confidence gained from knowing how to speak and knowing what you're speaking about. You can do that and still be a complete introvert, at least as described in this video. :)

Yes, i'm an introvert. But my parents and relatives are not comfortable with my nature and they all want me to talk with whoever i meet. All of them are uncomfortable cuz of quarantine but i really enjoy it. But even if i say something they can't understand me bcuz, they all have their own thoughts as they are extroverts

You SHOULD NEVER ask an introvert why they're quiet, because nothing is more awkward than asking a question like that to an introvert. I deal with this all the time at school.
I totally agree. When I hang out with friends, everyone always asks me if I'm sad or why I'm so quiet. It gets annoying and it's really awkward when someone asks you this question.
