I think a lot of women confuse "unpadded, natural silhouette" with "no bra, no support, no cleavage, no underwire"! Nothing could be further from the truth! I'm Canadian but I've lived in Belgium for over 25 years now and oh boy, do I prefer the European-style bras! As a C/D cup I like an underwire with good support because time, gravity and fluctuating weight have not been kind to my bosom! However my bras aren't padded, have enough lift to bring me back to my younger profile, give me firm support and a pretty yet natural cleavage. European brands like Chantelle and Empreinte (both French) and Intimissimi and Cosabella (Italian) really do a good job at a natural silhouette. Do they have "padded, push them up to your chin" bras? Sure they do but 90+% of their styles are natural. In all cup and band sizes.
Apart from Intimissimi those brands are out of my budget but even lower priced brands have similar styles and construction. The lace and details aren't as pretty but the base construction and fit is the same.
@@PoshPilgrim1776 That's an issue for sure! And we often also don't realise that we can be different sizes depending on the bra style or brand! And that some styles just won't suit your body and/or breast shape, regardless of size. There's a lot of good resources on YT to help but there's no foolproof method, you just have to try different styles, sizes and brands! Laura Tempesta is a good resource to explain how different parts of a bra affect the sizing and fit but there are many others as well. I despise shopping in person so I'm glad that most online stores allow for returns nowadays so if I'm tempted to buy a new bra I don't know, I'll always buy a few of the related sizes, try them on at home and return those that don't fit (and sometimes that means all of them if the style or construction doesn't fit my body!). I've gotten pretty good at knowing what I need in a bra; what styles fit me best, what kind of gore, how deep should the underwire be, how much height and support on the wings, etc, but I still get it wrong sometimes!
The problem is the nip. I wear cami bras, unpadded, no underwire, but the nip is the eternal problem, so I just avoid t-shirts, or any garment thin and clingy enough to show them. I am not going to put bandaids on my nips. That freaks me out.
I just found your channel…may I say that your fashion presentation has a wry and dry humor that is enjoyable. Fashion has been portrayed as a sacrosanct area that is supposed to be feared if one cannot put together the most perfect outfit! You have a wonderful way of tearing down those stodgy rules with a refreshing look at what is possible. Thank you!
I don't think this is a fashion channel. I think this is a style channel. As a fellow magpie of bright colours and quirky outfits, I love what you are doing!
Thank you so much for this video, Diana! (I’m 65.) I just found your channel a couple days ago! My “rich aunt” is/was my mother. She died almost 10 years ago, and I grabbed a few of her clothes that I liked/couldn’t let go of, and most of them I haven’t worn. This video gives me ideas for how to wear them! I love that last principle you gave us: combine something fancy with something not so fancy (casual), and see what happens. Mom and I used to do what we called, “having clothes fun.” This video is similar to what we would do. The randomness of what you can find in thrift stores adds to the fun!
Just found your channel and binge watching. Would have been interesting to see the 'sleeves' over the black camisole with jeans. Loving all the looks. Hilarious, not present them, I have to agree.
I just have to tell you that yesterday I got dressed up to go to the Goodwill and added a vintage scarf to my ensemble, tied like you do it, small, around the neck with the tails to the side. Well a woman older than me, (I'm 63) came up to me and told me I looked like a model, hahaha! Amazing what a little scarf does, honestly. Not only that, I got a huge amount of cool stuff at the thrift shop so it was a magical day. I am so inspired to wear my vintage clothing more often with my outfits. I know it can be done. Not like when I was in my 20s to 30s, but in a new way. Thank you! Julia
@@user-ry1vi1jc7o I know! I went through a funk for a while thinking of the things I can no longer wear, that I used to love, but once I started watching Diana, even though she is much younger, it made me happy to reexamine my clothing and realize what I CAN wear now. Best to you! Julia
Another great , stylish video which resonated - from stealing a jacket from my son’s closet to cutting my own curly hair at home. Again just happy to see a down to earth, real adult giving practical style advice . That terracotta ish blouse is gorgeous. Maybe reverse image search would work ?
Do you know what is underrated? Orthopedic shoes 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂. Thank you Diana for making me laugh, I'm in bed with a bad flu 🤧🤧🤧 and you have definitely made me feel better. Love the fancy jacket with the jeans and the cami❤
I think it's hilarious that she didn't realize she was wearing a wrestling T-shirt. When I was in high school, I went through a tomboy phase and bought a baseball cap that had "Copenhagen" on it with a logo. People were looking at me kind of strangely and finally somebody told me that Copenhagen was a chewing tobacco.
This is a really good nudge to shop my own closet and do some problem solving with things I don't wear before I go thrifting again. There is already an abundance of treasures in my closet, I'm sure a little creativity will grow the potential.
I just found your channel! I love it! You’re perfect, down to earth. Other channels keep showing clothes I can’t afford, but you said it, it’s fun and modest, keep your ideas coming! ❤🎉
You are a wonderfully imaginative person. Edith Head said you can do anything you want----as long as you dress for it. Rather than bring our treasures into our well-worn lives, it can be fruitful to brainstorm and move towards the many exciting new circumstances that these treasures suggest. Think about it: We are already always getting dressed FIRST!
Such good advice. Thanks for not making us “buy more stuff “ but encouraging us to sharpen up our creativity. We all have enough clothes and need your inspiration to make them magical.

“A more natural shape is appreciated “ yes!! Totally agreed. I lived in Paris for a couple of years in the 90’s and you are right on with everything you say.
Must say wow to the turtle neck sleeve contraption, something I'd never seen before ! But it suits you tremendously and it actually really worked with that neckline. That's a pretty cool item, definitely use it !
I love your style. I also have similar tastes to you. I love parisian chic, art teacher, modest, and eclectic thrift style. It's refreshing to see you embracing all of those too.

I loved this! Please wear the "rich aunt blouse" out and about, it's so pretty and suits you so well! I think I'm going to try to style my bold red shiny blouse with huge balloon sleeves. That I thifted for about 5 euros more then a year ago and surprise surprise, never wore. 😅
I too have been cutting my own hair for about 15 yrs with layers. Yours look great front and back keep your money in your pocket, you're doing a great job! Love your channel everything looked amazing on you.
Love the rich aunt jacket, it is gorgeous and looks so fun with those jeans. It is festive and a great length, too. The sheer sleeves make it multi-seasonal.
You make me smile every day! I really love all your videos. Learn a ton. Loved " I'm wearing this short skirt even though I have varicose veins!" That changed my thinking on swimming, too. Keep up the great work! You are so special!
Just found this channel and love everything about you! Inspiring, funny, and absolutely darling! Will be binge watching your clips. Subscribe! Thank you for creating and sharing ❤️
😉She did look super 🆒️ in that wrestling graphic tee! Although the new neckline looked quite flattering, not sure I'm ready to hack off✂️ my crew necks. #1 Would be concerned it would ruin a favorite tee, turn out wonky, & not keep it's shape after several washings. #2 The dreaded perfectionist in me would 100% balk at a neckline that's even slightly askew. Might be rebellious, but I'm not that rock-n-roll. Don't wanna look like a DIY fail. 🤔Maybe I'll do a search for a creative sewing tutorial that folds the t-shirt & uses a bowl shape+chalk to get the neck balanced & even. Finish it w/bias tape or fold over & add a ring of tiny grommets. Something that doesn't require advanced skills. 😬Meanwhile, I'll practice on a throw away tee. 💚Bridget from Cali☘️ (using my pal's YT acct)
Diana: I loved the floral skirt with the striped belt! Who would a thought! Also l enjoyed your sleeve story! Have you heard of sleevey wonders? I have several but they are increasingly hard to get. At least here in Tennessee. They are great! I think you should dust off that business idea and go for it! You already have your store and these things look so great when you want to hide those arms. If you ever watched Grace and Frankie, Lily Tomlin wore sheer arm sleeves under a variety of tops and always looked cool! If anyone can pull these off it’s you! So sending encouragement. Butt sleeves, not so sure about but ya never know! I am having SO MUCH FUN getting dressed since starting to watch you! Thank you, thank you for helping me unblah!😊❤
😊Thx for the Sleevy Wonders tip. 😎Living in LA, sleeveless shirts are my preference for our heat🥵, but sometimes it does feel a bit bare. Liked the sheer & lacy options shown on their website. When I went to 🤠Stage Coach 🎶Music Festival a few years back, I worried about baking in the open sun☀️ all day. My marathon runner pal had these UV protected sporty arm sleeves. Color coordinated my outfits to match the sleeves. Still airy, no discomfort or sun burn. 🎉Win-Win!🎉 😉BTW, I would turn those gray knit snug sleeves into leg warmers for knee boots. 💚Bridget from Cali☘️ (using my pal's YT acct)
So amused by your description of “cleavage presenting “ 😂 ……Also true that if your outfit is enjoyable and comfortable as well as attractive you will enjoy yourself and so will every body ! Super video
Best video yet! I think I'm glad that 'sleeve it to Beaver' didn't make it! Last winter I started wearing a vintage beaded cardigan with jeans and loved it. I have another one, even fancier, that I didn't wear (I've worn it twice in six years). Next winter, it's coming out. I love your fancy jacket, and if you can do that with jeans, I can wear that cardigan with jeans. It's royal blue with beads and sequins in blue and black. Thanks! And by the way, the back of your hair looks great, and I agree about a natural shape.
I love the rich Aunt jacket outfit! I would definitely wear that! I’m getting a kick out of the fun concept of the piece from your rich aunt, being that I am an Aunt and I have a lot of cool items. My daughter wears a lot of my clothing too. 💰👜👡🧥
I love your channel! I'm in my early 40s and I love seeing the things you combine. It's so nice to see someone besides me wearing things that are flowy or poofy just because they make you feel nice and pretty, though I do have to disagree with you on the man collars, I love those, lol!
The rich old aunt jacket is FABULOUS!! You should be wearing it all the time, because it looks amazing on you. Oh and if it ever needs rehoming I volunteer to give it a home 🥰
I love “quirky & worky” That is precisely the phrase I need to give myself permission to try and to wear new outfit combos!! ❤Thank you for your sparkle, your boldness, your friendliness, your creativity, your fun-ness! (Is that a word?)❤
Missile melons 😂 I'm 40 this year and finally appreciating my natural body. I'm not as thin or fit as I was 15 years ago when I thought I was fat, but I feel happier with who I am.
🎉 Contrast for the BIG Win! 🎉 You're styling exercises are always fun & fabulous. Many of us still need that gentle PUSH to play w/our clothes, & that extra encouragement to try out unlikely combinations. 😉Guess I possess an inner 👩🎨Art School Teacher (or Bohemian Artist) bcos the funky graphic tee & sneaker combos 💯% vibe w/me. Normally, I "nope" right out of classic boho bcos it feels far too contrived. 🤍Love the bold edgy masculine tee mixed w/the ultra feminine swishy skirts. Could see myself wearing my black high tops w/those two combinations too. Like the balance ⚖️ of energy ☯️ & sass. Guess my grunge leanings are a 90s holdover. Don't own full length jeans👖, but I thought combining those ✨️bling blouses✨️ w/ the denim rocked. Two great "day & date" looks. Brava!👏🏻 🤓 I'm definitely at a stage where dialing down ⬇️ the fuss, formality, & femininity is as highly appealing as injecting a dash of rebellion. 🤔Have three tiered solid colored maxi skirts that I'll test out your skirt-to-dress option this Summer. Maybe they would work w/my denim vest as a topper. BTW, your links didn't appear on this video where you 👉pointed 👆. 💚Bridget from Cali☘️ (using my pal's YT acct)
I just wanted to tell you how much your channel has helped me! I'm pushing and about a year postpartum after my fifth child (first C-Section) and have been discouraged every time I walk up to my closet. Your fun, adventurous approach to trying on clothes has me excited to get dressed in the morning again! I recently went shopping for soft pants and they are a serious game changer when it comes to my sensitive scar tissue! Thank you so much for your wonderful content!
I have that little red scarf! I didn’t know it was Liberty. We used to live near London, and it belonged to my father, he used it as a pocket square. It is one of the few memorabilia I have from him, so dear to me. Love your humour, and tips. Carol
Diana, you are inspirational. I have learned so much from your videos. I have been catching up with all your videos. Love your son's jacket and Rich Aunt Jacket and your hair is the best. Very tempted to get the chop but my hair is very frizzy and wavy. Thank you very much 😊xx
The sweater sleeves usually would come with a higher neck matching sweater tank. But I think it would look fine with a higher neck tank and jeans. Its a great neutral, so great w a ton of colors! I have a blue set. Love to wear them together and breaking up the set to wear them separately. Have fun!
Loved all the outfits, especially those with the rich aunt jacket. Great tip to pair your fancy pieces with your casual ones to make them more daily life friendly. By the way, I think your hair looks nice. I DIY mine all the time, as well. Would you ever consider doing a video of one of your self haircuts? I think haircuts are an important element to a look and add to the vibe of an individuals style.
Hi! Glad you liked this! I don't think I could film my haircuts because it's a constant cutting every few days or week. I just cut into what sticks out or looks lumpy that day and sometimes when the back is really off balance I have a friend cut the nape. That's my method! 🤣
wow I love you in the prairie skirt with that turtleneck top!! I was surprised to see how nice the colors look on you and the top made it so classy. I own way too many boho flowy clothes, I have some inspiration to work them in a new style
I think the sleeved scarf would look good with a knitted and fitted tank-top (maybe white or black, or the same grey color) tucked into some high waisted skinny jeans and those first strappy black heels. Idk... I kinda liked it and would give it a shot. Oooh better yet try that with some wide legged jeans or mom jeans too! A light denim tho to give it a cozy casual look. Maybe with some black suede booties if you have some or even grey ones. Idk I just wouldn't give up on it yet! The rich aunty jacket would look cute with a white spaghetti strap tank, high waisted skinny jeans (try a lighter denim) and the same strappy heels. Leave the jacket unbuttoned tho and with gold jewelry. Or some ripped mom jeans would look cool too and some black pointy pumps.
Aerosoles were my fave shoes for walking with their rubber soles, yet still fashionable, unlike clunky athletic shoes. Almost every pair of boots and shoes I had were Aerosoles. Then the company was sold, the designs changed and price really went up. Afraid to risk buying now in case fit is different than before.
so fun i love your fashion-y videos! seeing creators share their own personal style is so refreshing and a joy to watch. i feel like i am constantly being sold to, like qvc, with other style channels. tysm
I love your Pose's, the side one with hands clasped in front looks cute and you can tell you were a Model 😊 you should still be 👍 Great video, I have 11 Thrift Shops within 10 minutes of where I live 😃 but I have got better at Not going in ♻️ ❤x
Diana, I'm loving your communication style as a new viewer! I must observe that your vertical line appears indestructible! You look best when blunt horizontal lines hit you in all the wrong places. For instance your blunt haircut hits you at the widest part of your face and it's your best cut! Sleeves that end above the elbow, flood length pants, big scarves around your neck, etc. You look like a model in them, in the best artsy way! It's a super power! ❤ Love your content!
The good thing about thrifting is that you can afford to fix things. e.g. Lilac, sharks tooth hemmed skirt in silk. Step 1) take it to the tailor and have the hem evened out. No more jagged ends. Step 2) silk is a natural fabric and will dye easily. Turn that skirt into a navy blue skirt or a brown skirt or even a deeper purple skirt and it will be much more versatile. The gray sleeved collar thing? Over a WINTER black or grey dress with a crew or round neckline, not a summer slip dress. Yep, I often turn long skirts into strapless dresses by pulling them ALL the way up (Comes from being short and long maxi skirts almost always covering the shoes or dragging the ground) and belting them.
Diana, do you ever wear hats? I discovered them watching old black and white films and got hooked. Fedoras, berets, cloches all add a vintage touch of chic. Great for bad hair days! I get compliments from strangers. Men seem to like women in hats!
People want to wear hats and they don't feel comfortable in them because most other people don't wear them, which is a shame. I do wear hats but mostly for sun. I would love it if hats came back in popularity!
Me too. I've been looking at knitting patterns for hats lately. Where i live hats cost a fortune and would I really wear one?! So there are a few knitted options i can try.
Well, that was fun! First time viewer. I would like to see your Joan-Collins-wealthy-aunt jacket with a pair of light-wash boyfriend jeans, and a white muscle T-shirt.

Love your attitude. I'm way over 60 and I feel most of what you wear I could do, too. Thanks!
Glad you're here Rachel!
Love your hair. ❤
You make me smile every day! I really love all your videos. Learn a ton. Loved " I'm wearing this short skirt even though I have varicose veins!" That changed my thinking on swimming, too. Keep up the great work! You are so special!
Thank you! 😊
Just found this channel and love everything about you! Inspiring, funny, and absolutely darling! Will be binge watching your clips. Subscribe! Thank you for creating and sharing ❤️
Welcome!! Thanks so much!
Love the purple skirt. I’m going to take the scissors to the neck of my Brian Ferry t shirt. Your son’s blazer is really cool.

@@teresacarle294 I only did it since I wasn’t wearing the t shirt because I didn’t like the neckline. Not sure I would do it to a favorite garment!
6:39 this blouse looks like a blouse that I bought for my sister in Italy on the island of Burano.
That was a funny joke. You have a great sense of humor. I like your videos.😂😂😂❤
Thank you! 😃
Discovered VIONIC shoes. Sandals shoes boots all fabulous and stylish orthotics!!❤
Thanks for the tip!
You have such a unique and lovely eye color. I love when you play that up in your outfits.
🎉Win-Win!🎉
😉BTW, I would turn those gray knit snug sleeves into leg warmers for knee boots.

That name: sleevey wonders! 🤣
Great video. 👏
I love all these outfits in you - especially the Rich Aunt Jacket.
That sweater sounds amazing. Do it! 😘
I love the rich Aunt jacket outfit! I would definitely wear that! I’m getting a kick out of the fun concept of the piece from your rich aunt, being that I am an Aunt and I have a lot of cool items. My daughter wears a lot of my clothing too. 💰👜👡🧥
Love that!
I love your channel! I'm in my early 40s and I love seeing the things you combine. It's so nice to see someone besides me wearing things that are flowy or poofy just because they make you feel nice and pretty, though I do have to disagree with you on the man collars, I love those, lol!
To each their own! 😘
The rich old aunt jacket is FABULOUS!! You should be wearing it all the time, because it looks amazing on you. Oh and if it ever needs rehoming I volunteer to give it a home 🥰
I love “quirky & worky”
That is precisely the phrase I need to give myself permission to try and to wear new outfit combos!!
❤Thank you for your sparkle, your boldness, your friendliness, your creativity, your fun-ness! (Is that a word?)❤
Thank youuuuu!❤
Missile melons 😂 I'm 40 this year and finally appreciating my natural body. I'm not as thin or fit as I was 15 years ago when I thought I was fat, but I feel happier with who I am.
The sleeves would be good that cold morning where a blouse is not enough, but you know that later that day it gets warmer
🎉 Contrast for the BIG Win! 🎉
You're styling exercises are always fun & fabulous.
Brava!👏🏻
🤓 I'm definitely at a stage where dialing down ⬇️ the fuss, formality, & femininity is as highly appealing as injecting a dash of rebellion.
🤔Have three tiered solid colored maxi skirts that I'll test out your skirt-to-dress option this Summer. Maybe they would work w/my denim vest as a topper.
BTW, your links didn't appear on this video where you 👉pointed 👆.

Thanks for the heads up, will check on those links!
I really love your descriptions - such a fun and informative video! I need a Rich Aunt Jacket!
😂 That back of the head moment had me giggling! I can relate! I used to be a license hair stylist too, and I NEVER know what's going on back there.
That is awesome! Thank you for being here! 5 kids! 👏 WOW!
I have that little red scarf! I didn’t know it was Liberty. We used to live near London, and it belonged to my father, he used it as a pocket square. It is one of the few memorabilia I have from him, so dear to me.
Love your humour, and tips. Carol
I love it! Thanks for being here Carol!
Diana, you are inspirational. I have learned so much from your videos. I have been catching up with all your videos. Love your son's jacket and Rich Aunt Jacket and your hair is the best. Very tempted to get the chop but my hair is very frizzy and wavy. Thank you very much 😊xx
My hair is very wavy, and was frizzy until I stopped dying it. I actually have to grow it out a bit longer, because my gray hair is much fluffier!
I am a fiber snob for silk myself. I love the feel of it and it is always luxurious.
❤
Try the lavender skirt with a top that is cream/ivory, yellow or gold. That would look spectacular on you! 😉
Surround yourself in silk!! Taurus rising…. On it… green silk camisole on xx😊
I think your. Little black boots would look great with the tshirt prarie girl skirt look.
wow I love you in the prairie skirt with that turtleneck top!!
Same!😢
Your makeup looks superb!! 😀
Thanks Diana always a great video. Lots of fun and great ideas!
Glad you enjoyed it! 😘
so fun i love your fashion-y videos! seeing creators share their own personal style is so refreshing and a joy to watch. i feel like i am constantly being sold to, like qvc, with other style channels. tysm
I love your Pose's, the side one with hands clasped in front looks cute and you can tell you were a Model 😊 you should still be 👍 Great video, I have 11 Thrift Shops within 10 minutes of where I live 😃 but I have got better at Not going in ♻️ ❤x
Diana, this was so fun! I've been thinking how I would love some inspiration, and here you are! Right up my alley! Thank you😘
Yay! Glad you're here!
Absolutely lovely!!!
That is so interesting! No one has ever said that to me! Now I'm going to be noticing this all the time. Thanks for this observation!

You need a pinafore type dress for over grey polo and sleeves.☘️💚☘️😊
Try wearing a longer necklace with the slip dress/sleeves combo.
Mary Portas in the uk had a great arm cover-up called ARMERY
Very few people could wear your hairstyle that well. Looks beautiful. Just found your channel.
Thank you! Welcome! ❤
Well, that was fun! First time viewer. I would like to see your Joan-Collins-wealthy-aunt jacket with a pair of light-wash boyfriend jeans, and a white muscle T-shirt.
Yes!
