Everything is in the description, from materials to my exact measurements. Friends, if there is anything you would like to know, that I might’ve missed, please ask 🙂.
First of all- I opened my phone and RUclips to play me some Jay-Z LOUD on my car speakers and LOW & BEHOLD!! My girl!!! With a a VIDEO! Yassssss ! 🙌🏼 😃 LOVE the obelisks! But, IMHO, I think you should STAIN them black. The flowers will POP against them and the stain will a) last way longer than paint and b) will be a beautiful neutral in case next season you want to change up your tropical vibe. Colored Pots and plants can give you your tropical 🏝 vibe. Idk 🤷🏼♀️ just my humble opinion. However, I was soooo HAPPY to see you did a video. 😊♥️ Thank you.
My hubby has built me 2 rose arbors and among other things here and there. He ran electrical out to various areas in the garden for me too. He is putting in an outside sink for me this year with a potting counter. (I had the plumbing run last summer). I installed a new pond last year and he helped me out a lot. When it was time to place all the large stone around, he and my son laid it all out for me. I am spoiled. He must love me.
Props to your husband, one thing that I do is cut the legs with a miter of 7 degrees (bevel 7 degrees too), and the cross beams with a 45 degree miter and 7 bevel...that way you get a finished corner look and it is structurally stronger. Only a tip as I learned it from a carpenter. Also, for anyone reading this, try staining the pressure treated wood with a dark stain, allow to dry, then completely paint with a bold color (semi gloss). After it a day or so, use a sander to remove parts of the paint leaving a bicolor, antique look. Seal with a satin or semi gloss poly and voila, $$$
The babies are adorable and beautiful. How great it is that your hubby does great work. Trust your instinct for a color, yours is pretty good. They are going to look gorgeous in the garden 🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗
My vote is to paint them Synergy. They look sooo nice. Once you paint them they will look even more attractive. Looks like your two apprentices (twins) are learning together with us. They put a smile on my face.
I’ve already texted this to my husband asking for him to build them for me 😁. These are beautiful, I can’t wait to see the tropical cottage in all its glory!
Two big thumbs up for your husbands support and help! It’s so nice when our partners help us in the garden. My husband has mulched, dug, raked and many more jobs to help me in the garden!
I love your Channel , you are an amazing young woman, wife, and Mother…. and when your husband works with you it is such a beautiful scene….I’m grinning as I watch, as if I am your Mom / Grandma and your husband is my son-in-law🥰. Y’all just keep on loving and working and raising those sweet children TOGETHER!Blessings and a big hug, 🌺🥰🙋🏽♀️
These are beautiful. I'm feeling Lemon Twist and Charisma so they will show up even with plants growing up them. Great job. I'm saving this to my pinterest page!
Charisma caught my eye. There is a guy in town who built and painted my obelisk. I love it. I’m sure whatever color you use it’s going to be beautiful. Thanks for sharing.
So gorgeous! Those are fabulous and will add some nice height to the garden. I used to joke that my next husband will be handy, but we’ve just celebrated 32 years of marriage, so maybe it’s time for me to get handy. 😂
Your babies are so adorable and sweet!Thank you for sharing this hack! These are gorgeous! Hubbies can be so sweet! Even if they only do these things to keep us out of their hair! 🤣
These are beau-ti-ful!!!! Even better that they were made with love. I like the Surfer blue, and since the color is a little deeper, it might hide the extra dust/ dirt outside.
Thank you for the instructions. I am officially inspired. I would paint black to mimic iron, however, Lark and Revitalizing green would not compete with your 🌸
Finally, a garden build project I feel like I could actually accomplish!! (With my husband's help of course.) I love this!! They turned out beautifully. I think they'd be beautiful in a tropical red!!
omg your kids!! so dang cute. Not gonna lie, I watched them saying "bok? and then jumping at the sound of the saw like 5 times, lol! so pure and innocent
Eco green! If you want them to fade into the background when the plants start to grow. Or synergy for pop all year. These are so gorgeous! Thanks for sharing.
I have no idea how I missed this video…but I’m thrilled I found it…. You have great designs…from this to the greenhouse…..I’m totally gonna make this obelisk…thanks!
I love these but my poor husband is not a carpenter. I think I’ll have to find bargains or just use old bed frames, burglar doors, pieces of iron or such. Your blessed. I’ve just started my arching you by all the people that watch Eve More & glad to find you. I watched a couple here & there from 4 yr ago. It is nice to see the twins.
What a beautiful addition to your space!! Kudos to you and your husband for a job well done!! Synergy and Charisma get my vote! 😊 tysm for details....from your Garden Friend Francine 💐🌺
I think you should paint them the Charisma color but my husband likes Lemon Twist 😁 By the way your husband did a great job and saved you a lot of money
Those are amazing. And you have a wonderful husband helping with your projects! I'm happy to join this channel. Looking forward to seeing all you two do.
I want you to know how much I enjoy your channel. You are so relatable and genuine. I have my lumber in my car and I can’t wait to get started this evening. And your family is lovely!
That coral color would be perfect! it plays so well with other colors and will be bright enough to stand on its own in the winter, or under a climbing plant.
Wow these are so pretty! Your hubby is so wonderful for supporting your gardening endeavors and always lend a helping hand. I really like these they are so pricey when you look them up. What a great job yours are so much nicer.
I loved this really practical video, lots of people who post videos like to hear the sound of their own voices. All they need to do is get on with the job in hand exactly like this. Excellent thank you
I've seen other videos on how these are made, and they are too complicated. You've made it very simple to follow. I have my own tools, so I'm going to try it! I think I will use a dark grey stain, so I don't have to worry about flaking paint or a lot of maintenance. I think stains come in an assortment of bright colors as well. I like the idea of a bright pop of color in the garden, though. I can't wait to see your finished obelisk. Wish me luck! 🙂🙂
I love them. They're going to add so much structure and growing space. I often don't think about growing upwards. I definitely want to add more vertical elements, either with obelisks or trellises, or both.
Fuscia, charisma, surfer (teal), synergy, tantalizing teal, eco green, lark green, lime green, yellow (lemon tarte), pink, or even royal blue. Black, white or any color would look amazing but since you're choosing color vibe, most any color would look fantastic! Great job and even more beautiful family.
Everything is in the description, from materials to my exact measurements. Friends, if there is anything you would like to know, that I might’ve missed, please ask 🙂.
These look great! You sure saved a lot of money by doing these yourself ;). I might try it to support a clematis plant or yellow beans!
Do you know where you want to place them this year?
@@kasiad1995, q
@@kasiad1995 yes. In the new area I’m working on, where I added the 5 large green giants.
What kind of finial did you use on top?
When those kids jumped back i died 🤣🤣 You are going full force and I love it!!
The twins are so adorable 😍 🥺😅I giggled when they hurried away everytime the saw came on😅😅..oh yeah the obelisk turned out great as well🤣😂🤣😂
Thanks for the how to, but when the kids jumped at the sound of the skil saw, I did too. Made me smile. Great job.
Lime green is a great color that pops in the garden
Those are beautiful! I can see some Clematis, Honeysuckle, or Sweet Pea growing on the obelisk.
Omg the babies jumping at the sound of the tool😭. Lol. Reminds me of my children. Love how these turned out!! For color I like Midday & Harmonic Tan 😍
First of all- I opened my phone and RUclips to play me some Jay-Z LOUD on my car speakers and LOW & BEHOLD!! My girl!!! With a a VIDEO! Yassssss ! 🙌🏼 😃

Surfer and Eco green!!! Thanks for the instructions...😊😊😊😊✌️
This is brilliant. Can’t ask my husband to build mine yet. He’s still recovering from building our shutters.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Showed your video to my hubby and said he’ll build me one. I’m so excited.
You are one busy moma. And your hubs is awesome to help you like he does! What a beautiful couple and family! Many blessings, Moya! 💕
My hubby has built me 2 rose arbors and among other things here and there. He ran electrical out to various areas in the garden for me too. Sis, having a handy husband is SUCH a BLESSING! My DH can barely put a bookshelf together lol🥴 What a beautiful family y’all have🙋🏾♀️❤️🙏🏾
My husband passed away and so I KNOW it is a blessing
A family project day! Those are my favorite.
Synergy and lemon twist are calling to me
Props to your husband, one thing that I do is cut the legs with a miter of 7 degrees (bevel 7 degrees too), and the cross beams with a 45 degree miter and 7 bevel...that way you get a finished corner look and it is structurally stronger. Your obelisk turned out great. I like the surfer color.
Syenergy LOVE YOUR OBELISKS. TEAM WORK MAKES THE DREAM WORK. WONDERFUL FAMILY 👪
Those obelisks are beautiful! I love the simplicity of them. How great for your husband to build them with your assistance. Lol!😀
The babies are adorable and beautiful. How great it is that your hubby does great work. Trust your instinct for a color, yours is pretty good. They are going to look gorgeous in the garden 🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗
Another vote for Synergy over here!
I love it!!!! It love the early morning video drop as well!!!
Your twins have grown so much!! They are beautiful!
My vote is to paint them Synergy. They look sooo nice. Once you paint them they will look even more attractive. Looks like your two apprentices (twins) are learning together with us. They put a smile on my face.
Bravo!! That's what I'm talking about Moya ya'll did that! Can't wait to see them in the garden!
How wonderful to have a husband that doesn’t mind these projects! He is great!
Lovely garden item and any of the tropical colors would be nice!
Your husband is so talented. I love to see a husband and wife working together for a common goal. This is very awesome and they turned out beautiful.
I’ve already texted this to my husband asking for him to build them for me 😁. These are beautiful, I can’t wait to see the tropical cottage in all its glory!
Curious how he responded. I get a lot of those texts. Some get the 🙄some get the 👍. ha ha, have a great day!
@@movaughn20 response was, “when would you like them finished?”- so positive! Sometimes I get a “no way” but often he says yes 👍
hmmm reclining green is the one I would pick!
I love a DIY project. I like reds and oranges in the garden. Fellow Marylander. 😊 God Bless!
Oh Moya, I am gonna copy! Love, love 💕 them. I 💭 think I will paint them them a yellow and a sage green!
Two big thumbs up for your husbands support and help! It’s so nice when our partners help us in the garden. My husband has mulched, dug, raked and many more jobs to help me in the garden!
They are beautiful! My vote is for “surfer”.

These are beautiful. I'm feeling Lemon Twist and Charisma so they will show up even with plants growing up them. Great job. I'm saving this to my pinterest page!
Love these Moya!! Perfectly done. I like the idea of a birdhouse on top. I also love you working with your husband 😘
Love your content, Moya!
I’ve wanted to make one of these so badly. You and your husband make it look so easy. I love your color palette and can’t wait to see them painted!
The babies backing off each time the saw/sander started up 👼🏼
Charisma caught my eye. There is a guy in town who built and painted my obelisk. I love it. I’m sure whatever color you use it’s going to be beautiful. Thanks for sharing.

They look amazing! Kiddos to your hubby for making them for you!!!
Showed this to hubby and he "I can do that". Yea! I have wanted one of these for years but they are so expensive to buy. Thanks for the inspiration.
These are AWESOME! Your husband rocked it! Your gardens are beautiful and I’m looking forward to the transformation this season.
Your babies are adorable!
Thank you 😊
So beautiful. Such a great project, wonderfully constructed. And, nice to see the kids looking on and learning.
Thank God for hubbies that indulge us!!!!
@2:09 Girl said "Ooh no! I am out of here" 😂😂😂 That was too cute how they both jumped!
So clever, I love these. I think a pale blue would be very lovely. What would we do without our brilliant husbands 😍
These are beau-ti-ful!!!! Even better that they were made with love. I like the Surfer blue, and since the color is a little deeper, it might hide the extra dust/ dirt outside.
Thank you for the instructions. I am officially inspired. I would paint black to mimic iron, however, Lark and Revitalizing green would not compete with your 🌸
I like the paint colors Charisma, Lemon Twist and Synergy😁 The obelisks are going to be a lovely structure in your gardens.
Charisma or Tantalizing Teal-I can’t decide. Beautiful project, wonderful hubby and adorable, adorable twins!
WOW I love them, I'll take two!!!
beautiful. You could sell your talent. Better than anything I have seen in the garden centers
Gorgeous! I want some too!!! I loved watching your babies chattering while watching daddy cut & build. Wonderful memories!
I loved the kids reactions. They jumped when drill on.
Eco green! If you want them to fade into the background when the plants start to grow. Or synergy for pop all year. These are so gorgeous! Thanks for sharing.
I just recently did the same thing. I painted mine black. Love the design of yours❤️
You are so lucky to have a wonderful man that you can show a picture to and say can you build this for me and he can. Awesome.
Amazing job! So awesome you have such a wonderful husband that can help with all these projects. I love the Synergy color!!🙌🏻

Those are the most gorgeous gardens!! Coming from a plant nursery owner and landscaper/designer!

Nice job hubby! These are great 👍
Love what you're doing! You have a wonderful family and your children are so beautiful! Thank YOU for sharing your idea!
I think tantalizing teal would give it a beachy vibe, and a cool pop of color. They came out gorgeous! Can't wait to see what color you choose.
Those look great 👍🏼 always good to have a supportive hubby in your corner as well! Great team work. Happy Gardening 😊
I love them. They're going to add so much structure and growing space. I often don't think about growing upwards. I definitely want to add more vertical elements, either with obelisks or trellises, or both.
Thank you, thank you! I’ve been wanting an easy to understand tutorial for these. Turned out great
Fuscia, charisma, surfer (teal), synergy, tantalizing teal, eco green, lark green, lime green, yellow (lemon tarte), pink, or even royal blue. Black, white or any color would look amazing but since you're choosing color vibe, most any color would look fantastic! Great job and even more beautiful family.
Love these, something easier than cutting the angles and bevels. Thank you so much. They are just georgous. I will paint mine white
I love them! Great job! I love the colors Charisma and Lemon Twist. Warm and tropical feel.
The twins are so adorable 😍 🥺😅I giggled when they hurried away everytime the saw came on😅😅..oh yeah the obelisk turned out great as well🤣😂🤣😂
