Everything is in the description, from materials to my exact measurements. Friends, if there is anything you would like to know, that I might’ve missed, please ask 🙂.
I’ve already texted this to my husband asking for him to build them for me 😁. These are beautiful, I can’t wait to see the tropical cottage in all its glory!
My hubby has built me 2 rose arbors and among other things here and there. He ran electrical out to various areas in the garden for me too. He is putting in an outside sink for me this year with a potting counter. (I had the plumbing run last summer). I installed a new pond last year and he helped me out a lot. When it was time to place all the large stone around, he and my son laid it all out for me. I am spoiled. He must love me.
My vote is to paint them Synergy. They look sooo nice. Once you paint them they will look even more attractive. Looks like your two apprentices (twins) are learning together with us. They put a smile on my face.
I love your Channel , you are an amazing young woman, wife, and Mother…. and when your husband works with you it is such a beautiful scene….I’m grinning as I watch, as if I am your Mom / Grandma and your husband is my son-in-law🥰. Y’all just keep on loving and working and raising those sweet children TOGETHER!Blessings and a big hug, 🌺🥰🙋🏽♀️
Those are amazing. And you have a wonderful husband helping with your projects! I'm happy to join this channel. Looking forward to seeing all you two do.
I want you to know how much I enjoy your channel. You are so relatable and genuine. I have my lumber in my car and I can’t wait to get started this evening. And your family is lovely!
The babies are adorable and beautiful. How great it is that your hubby does great work. Trust your instinct for a color, yours is pretty good. They are going to look gorgeous in the garden 🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗
Two big thumbs up for your husbands support and help! It’s so nice when our partners help us in the garden. My husband has mulched, dug, raked and many more jobs to help me in the garden!
Your babies are so adorable and sweet!Thank you for sharing this hack! These are gorgeous! Hubbies can be so sweet! Even if they only do these things to keep us out of their hair! 🤣
First of all- I opened my phone and RUclips to play me some Jay-Z LOUD on my car speakers and LOW & BEHOLD!! My girl!!! With a a VIDEO! Yassssss ! 🙌🏼 😃 LOVE the obelisks! But, IMHO, I think you should STAIN them black. The flowers will POP against them and the stain will a) last way longer than paint and b) will be a beautiful neutral in case next season you want to change up your tropical vibe. Colored Pots and plants can give you your tropical 🏝 vibe. Idk 🤷🏼♀️ just my humble opinion. However, I was soooo HAPPY to see you did a video. 😊♥️ Thank you.
Charisma caught my eye. There is a guy in town who built and painted my obelisk. I love it. I’m sure whatever color you use it’s going to be beautiful. Thanks for sharing.
Wow these are so pretty! Your hubby is so wonderful for supporting your gardening endeavors and always lend a helping hand. I really like these they are so pricey when you look them up. What a great job yours are so much nicer.
I loved this really practical video, lots of people who post videos like to hear the sound of their own voices. All they need to do is get on with the job in hand exactly like this. Excellent thank you
These are beautiful. I'm feeling Lemon Twist and Charisma so they will show up even with plants growing up them. Great job. I'm saving this to my pinterest page!
What a beautiful addition to your space!! Kudos to you and your husband for a job well done!! Synergy and Charisma get my vote! 😊 tysm for details....from your Garden Friend Francine 💐🌺
I have no idea how I missed this video…but I’m thrilled I found it…. You have great designs…from this to the greenhouse…..I’m totally gonna make this obelisk…thanks!
Props to your husband, one thing that I do is cut the legs with a miter of 7 degrees (bevel 7 degrees too), and the cross beams with a 45 degree miter and 7 bevel...that way you get a finished corner look and it is structurally stronger. Only a tip as I learned it from a carpenter. Also, for anyone reading this, try staining the pressure treated wood with a dark stain, allow to dry, then completely paint with a bold color (semi gloss). After it a day or so, use a sander to remove parts of the paint leaving a bicolor, antique look. Seal with a satin or semi gloss poly and voila, $$$
omg your kids!! so dang cute. Not gonna lie, I watched them saying "bok? and then jumping at the sound of the saw like 5 times, lol! so pure and innocent
Finally, a garden build project I feel like I could actually accomplish!! (With my husband's help of course.) I love this!! They turned out beautifully. I think they'd be beautiful in a tropical red!!
I saw a beautiful garden on Pinterest and they had these Obelisk in their garden. They were painted a bright reddish-orange and it was stunning!!! I need some of those..
These are beau-ti-ful!!!! Even better that they were made with love. I like the Surfer blue, and since the color is a little deeper, it might hide the extra dust/ dirt outside.
This is so brilliant! I love your projects. We had some cedar 1 bys leftover from a fence build and I have been keeping them for three years in my garden shed. Now I know what to do!
I love them. They're going to add so much structure and growing space. I often don't think about growing upwards. I definitely want to add more vertical elements, either with obelisks or trellises, or both.
We made trellises like these 7 years ago but with much cheaper wood. (I think they were sold as garden stakes.) Reviews said they’d only last one year. We painted them with 1 coat of textured deck paint and they’re still going strong! We get 100+ in the summer and several months of snow in the winter and they stay out in it all. Go for the decking paint! The texture is a bonus as climbing plants can grip it easier.
Everything is in the description, from materials to my exact measurements. Friends, if there is anything you would like to know, that I might’ve missed, please ask 🙂.
These look great! You sure saved a lot of money by doing these yourself ;). I might try it to support a clematis plant or yellow beans!
Do you know where you want to place them this year?
@@kasiad1995, q
@@kasiad1995 yes. In the new area I’m working on, where I added the 5 large green giants.
What kind of finial did you use on top?
When those kids jumped back i died 🤣🤣 You are going full force and I love it!!
Sis, having a handy husband is SUCH a BLESSING! My DH can barely put a bookshelf together lol🥴 What a beautiful family y’all have🙋🏾♀️❤️🙏🏾
My husband passed away and so I KNOW it is a blessing
Thanks for the how to, but when the kids jumped at the sound of the skil saw, I did too. Made me smile. Great job.
You are one busy moma. And your hubs is awesome to help you like he does! What a beautiful couple and family! Many blessings, Moya! 💕
The twins are so adorable 😍 🥺😅I giggled when they hurried away everytime the saw came on😅😅..oh yeah the obelisk turned out great as well🤣😂🤣😂

I’ve already texted this to my husband asking for him to build them for me 😁. These are beautiful, I can’t wait to see the tropical cottage in all its glory!
Curious how he responded. I get a lot of those texts. Some get the 🙄some get the 👍. ha ha, have a great day!
@@movaughn20 response was, “when would you like them finished?”- so positive! Sometimes I get a “no way” but often he says yes 👍
Those obelisks are beautiful! I love the simplicity of them. How great for your husband to build them with your assistance. Lol!😀
My hubby has built me 2 rose arbors and among other things here and there. He ran electrical out to various areas in the garden for me too. Those are beautiful! I can see some Clematis, Honeysuckle, or Sweet Pea growing on the obelisk.
My vote is to paint them Synergy. They look sooo nice. Once you paint them they will look even more attractive. Looks like your two apprentices (twins) are learning together with us. They put a smile on my face.
Gorgeous! I want some too!!! I loved watching your babies chattering while watching daddy cut & build. Wonderful memories!

I’ve wanted to make one of these so badly. You and your husband make it look so easy. I love your color palette and can’t wait to see them painted!
Wow these are so pretty! Your hubby is so wonderful for supporting your gardening endeavors and always lend a helping hand. I really like these they are so pricey when you look them up. What a great job yours are so much nicer.

hmmm reclining green is the one I would pick!

Nice job hubby! These are great 👍
Your babies are adorable!
Thank you 😊
This was a great and easy to follow obelisk( obelisque ) tutorial ( tuteur). Thanks!
I saw a beautiful garden on Pinterest and they had these Obelisk in their garden. They were painted a bright reddish-orange and it was stunning!!! I need some of those..
Beautiful! Looks very easy to do. The color that I like is charisma, it will contrast with the green of the leaves.
Amazing job! So awesome you have such a wonderful husband that can help with all these projects. I love the Synergy color!!🙌🏻

I love them. They're going to add so much structure and growing space. I often don't think about growing upwards. I definitely want to add more vertical elements, either with obelisks or trellises, or both.
Thank you, thank you! I’ve been wanting an easy to understand tutorial for these. Turned out great
Love these, something easier than cutting the angles and bevels. Thank you so much. They are just georgous. I will paint mine white
Kudos to you and your hubby. Well explained and illustrated and cost-effective. Amazing teamwork!
Beautiful obelisk and beautiful teamwork!!
The twins are so adorable 😍 🥺😅I giggled when they hurried away everytime the saw came on😅😅..oh yeah the obelisk turned out great as well🤣😂🤣😂
Love it! That Lark Green caught my eye. Have fun!
