JERRY THAT was one of your most enjoyable videos to watch for me. Not just because of the long rod but your enthusiasm and joy of being out there. Loved it. Congrats on a great video. Great job
Thank you Brian always love when I hear ya say long rod glad I could focus that energy into this and show what was going on out there and share! Much appreciate and thank you again!
Wonderful Job out there Jerry! Looks like Great Fun! Love watching you Fish Your Way! I HAVE to get one of those parking permits this year. I'm really excited about fishing saltwater on the fly rod this season. I've gone out a few times this Nov-Dec. haven't had any luck yet, but I'm use to that lol I have a great time whenever I go out whether I catch Fish or not Thanks for taking us along once again.
Hi Jerry, Great day with the fly rod. You braved some bad weather that day. It's been in the hi 80's and sunny down here. The warm water has driven at lot of fish to the north. I'll keep fishing and hope for the best. There are a lot of small mullet here and a lot of dolphin chasing them. Say "Hi" to Danielle and good luck, Mickey
Hi Mickey yea it was cold and rainy but busy so stayed warm and into the fish, I read about those FL mullet runs sounds so interesting hope to hear about them soon!!!
Oh wow that is so cool thank you hope I was not to loud! Toned it back when I saw ya there was really into it. Thank you for the comment and great to meet you!!!
@@FishYourWay never to loud..my god you have to here when I hook up I think people on the Jersey side can here me lol.. I know when I am fishing and I here people talking to themselves, I know they are usually creating a video or have a RUclips channel… awesome to meet you to till next time I will introduce myself tight lines god bless 🤙🏻🤙🏻
Awesome clip Jerry, you make it look so easy,, no Sbasquet , short casting presentations, knee deep in the water, line control, tangles free system and catching !! Thank you for the work and sharing, as always…,so much knowledge in here , another one to watch more than once👏👏👏
Hi Mag! Thank you! Was thinking of you out there cause have not did the fly in a little and boy did I miss it!!! Got it in good! It was a fun one to do make and watch. I must have watched it 5x myself!!! just enjoyed it thank you as always!!!!
You are the man Jerry! I really enjoyed watching this one. The fishing was super good this morning and then I watched this and want to go back out haha!
Hi Bob thank you!!! funny you mention spoke to one of the regulars there been doing the same 2x a day!!! All I could say was God bless you!!! All the best Bob and thanks again!!!
Wow, what an epic day! Your enthusiasm was contagious. Quick question for a newbie: I'm used to fishing small stream trout and giving some inshore fly a try. Is there a risk of burning your hand with the fly line on a big fish strike or does that not happen? Any tips for avoiding that? Thanks for sharing the video!
Thank you, thank you! I would say yes there may be a risk but I never had nothing severe. Many guys wear gloves when they are out there that helps a lot and warm the hands in the cold as well, golf or baseball gloves in the warmer weather I have heard help. Much appreciate the words!
Man you killed it out there Jerry! What a great day! Are those fish going up and down the beach or just hanging out around the rocks and going into the bay? Some of the best fly rodding I've seen to date 👏👏👏👏👏 spectacular. I've never even heard of fluke on the fly until I found this channel - you really showcase the effectiveness of simple presentation.
Hi Joseph thanks again as always! Thank you thank you always means a bunch coming from you! I think the flukes and bass are hanging, blues seem to be in and out right now. I keep the thinking to a minimal (if I can!!!) Flukes on fly now are like sugar and spice just right a great combo! Thanks as always for the words!
Jerry awesome as always….need to pick your brain I mentioned a couple of weeks ago I’m venturing into fly fishing. I notice when you hook one your pulling the fish in with line and not reeling it in is that your preferred method and do you worry about tangling your line. Your insight as always much appreciated. Thanks in advance Anthony
Thank you Anthony! I do kinda prefer hand lining them in till the line hits the reel. Either way, I have line out so to pick that all up after hooking up are just extra steps I need not take. When you get into it you will se what I mean, the drag you hand does on the line is better then any drag out there as well hope some helps and thanks again!
Hey I got a quick question for you. I seen your videos about fishing for stripers with bunker chunks, I do the same thing I have a fish finder rig maybe 3 feet of leader and a piece of bunker. I fish off a pier in bay ridge brooklyn maybe 3 miles from the verrazano bridge I see people catching stripers all the time I've been trying for a long time and can't seem to catch any do you have any tips?
Hmmmm, hard to say. Fresh bunker helps. Check where they are casting may be in a rip or drop that will hold more fish. See how they are rigging if its different local knowledge is invaluable. And try changes in tides
JERRY. Please text me jus one hotspot location I promise i wont tell no one else n maybe il see you there one day n we can catch fish together have a little competition who catches the biggest fish or the most fish

Hi Adam thanks for watching and commenting!!! I watched it 7x myself!!!!
Sick video! New RUclipsr here.
Thank you 239! Much appreciate the words!
I noticed you fish without a stripping basket, so do I. I guess it's just preference. I don't think it effects my casting.
Yea, I use one time to time but prefer without it, one less thing to carry I just water haul the line out 1-3 false casts and were good!
