Hey man, I saw you in Ross a couple weeks ago and I did say what's up to you briefly but just wanted to say again congrats on all your success with not only your RUclips channel but your entire lifestyle, fishing career, and marriage as well. What you do is very inspirational. Hope you keep it up for years to come..

You have always kept my interests peaked in the world of spearfishing. The first time I watched the channel I was hooked ( no pun intended). The ocean is a beautiful place to work and live close to. In all the years I worked as a commercial fisherman I wondered what it was like spearfishing. Well Sir you have shown us that it's not easy for everyone to do but it can be done. I'm glad you show us the failed shots as well as the perfect ones. As always I wait with anticipation for the next drop ( no pun intended) Stay safe and congrats again on your wedding!

I've recently begun watching your videos the last few months or so. What impresses me is your knowledge and skill in fishing, but also the utmost respect you have for the prey, no matter what it is, and the environment. It's a breath of fresh air - if only all professional fishermen were like you.

I do absolutely love these trips. I appreciate that they are seldom and perhaps that makes them even more special. Something about you having a purpose, starting at a financial deficit, breaking even, then going green. Its like I'm completely invested and cheering you on. Plus of course, all of the action! So awesome how you have sustainability and humane practices at the forefront of your craft. You are truly a faithful steward of the incredible natural world you operate in and an a model representative of what it is to be a "waterman", at least in my mind. Thank you.

Refreshing to hear your take on using gas. I do both depending on depth (not in same day). As you know, up in Central FL GOM, many times we have to get into very deep water to find big fish; which is when we bring gas. A lot of freedivers jump on you the minute they see tanks without understanding the environment some of us are in. Always enjoy your videos man.

After watching your spearfishing videos and comparing them against some other videos I really appreciate your willingness to pass or wait on shots and I am marveled at your ability to make stone shots and quick kills. I realize not all shots land and maybe you show us some of the cleaner ones, but I really appreciate you talking ethics and trying to get clean shots and trying to avoid marginal shots. Its an underrated part of our sport of hunting and fishing.

Great shooting. Those stone shots are pretty impressive. I could never hold my breath long enough to shoot nice fish. I think the best thing I ever speared was a sheepshead around 5 lbs. But growing up in Sarasota we didn't get clear water unless it was cold so I didn't get much practice. I fish almost every day but with rod and reel, always light tackle.
Anyway these are fun videos to watch. You do a great job of showing and explaining your adventures.

People who have never had a boat, or have never pursued fishing in a serious way have no concept of what it costs to pursue these activities. If I’m taking a guest out, they will never know what it cost to go fishing for the day.
It’s a quiet joke that I keep to myself, when people complain about the cost of fish at the market. They think because You have a boat therefore catching fish is “free”, just go and get them. I just leave it at that. I recently bought some premium &really nice fish, and we had a five star meal at home. That market bought fish was excellent quality and fantastic value.
I like the fact that you give a little indication of the cost of a day out, not even considering the cost of owning the boat and gear.

As a lifetime, Recreational fisherman and having spent several years on charterboats when I was a teenager, I always disliked commercial fishing especially with nets and long lines and things but after watching RUclips and the few guys I see that switch between Robin and Real and spearfishing couldn’t agree more about spearfishing being the most sustainable means of recreation or commercial as you will know you get to choose your fish and you don’t end up killing fish that you are going to keep And you only harvest fish of a size so you can stay away from the breeding population if you need to and things like that, so while commercial would normally be some thing I would be sore over. I totally think spearfishing, especially free diving is the most fair and sustainable commercial fishing method ever by far.
