Global Covid-19 deaths have reached a grim milestone, surpassing the 3 million mark on April 17, 2021. The United States, Brazil and Mexico are the top three countries with the highest number of virus-related deaths.

My grandma is 80's yo, has heart problems, hypertension, diabetes, asthma, but she survive from covid and went home from hospital today.
The creepy thing about covid is your survive rate depends on luck. My friend was very healthy person in his 25. But he didn't survive, passed away few weeks ago.
It seems like death choose people as they like.
Blame the chinese, for covering this deadly virus up !
@Michael Kanes in my country people with covid stay in the same dorm/ hospital, after the test said positive, so my grandma and my friend also stayed in hospital and in one room with another covid infected people. So even though, doctor misdiagnosed her, she could be infected by people in the same room like her. I don't know about people who died because of flu or covid, the only thing I know, I will keep wearing mask and keep the distance. I don't want to caught a simple flu or covid or anything.

Yes because when, thanks to the restrictions, we achieve a pretty low rate of deaths and infections, we are to quick to remove all that restrictions and act like it doesn't exist. We get more and more tired and we follow less the security measures.... It's sad and infuriating

Last year had the same average deaths globally for the last decade. The numbers were also exaggerated for some countries that did not even test some people but attributed covid as the cause of death because they may have been close to someone who had it.
Did we have no deaths in 2020 due to natural causes? Covid may be just a flu like virus that the majority of people recover from. No need going back to the stone age and restricting and locking down people.
Look at overall deaths for all countries or individual countries. You may be surprised to see the deaths are on average the same or lower in some countries. You really need to do some research.
Are masks as effective as some people say? The negative effects of using masks may be worse than you think.

It is already more than 4.2M deaths if we look at the excess deaths of each country instead of the official numbers. And there is no general mortality data for countries with probably a huge excess deaths such as India.
I’m truly sorry for the parents and people who have lost loved ones to COVID-19, and super angry at the governments and individuals who claim that COVID-19 is not that serious.

We have been saying this for a while and will continue to say it again: vaccines don’t completely make you immune to the virus. I suggest you read more about vaccines, not just about the COVID-19 one, so you can make a proper decision on whether you want to be vaccinated or not.

@Michael Kanes they don't even do research they parrot nonsense. Global deaths on average stayed the same. Norway deaths in the last decade was higher than in 2020 every year except 2014.
Covid is a virus that is not as deadly as media make it out to be. The recovery rate is very high. We are shutting down the global economy and losing businesses, peoples livelihoods, mental health, for something that our so called experts said didn't require masks.
When it came out, we were told not to wear masks, no flights were halted; had we taken it a little seriously at the start we would not be in this year and a half of open / close restrictions.
In my country its impossible to social distance in the slums but everyone wears mask

I haven't looked at covid news in ages so when I saw the recovered numbers, I was like "79 thousand recovered with 139k cases? Wow, it's not that bad." Until I remembered that China had 83k cases in 2020... and that this video said 3 million deaths....
I realized that I severely counted the commas wrong.
I never knew there were 140 million cases with only 80 million recovered. The last time I saw a graph, active cases were 10k, not 80 million

Are you going to count the people who survived but whose lives are shortened? I will likely need a double lung transplant in a few years from surviving Covid, I only had mild asthma before. I know there are many like me who survived the virus, but it left some serious damage.
