The way it was explained to me (a non-engineer) is that it happens so rarely and you'll always have time to evacuate because the heat works slowly. So it's just not worth the insane cost to 'fireproof' every single overpass in the nation.
She also trashed Biden and accused him with no actual "receipts" by suggesting he was pursuing student debt relief only because he was trying to win the youth vote although there are many many older people still paying on their loans but anywho she put out there that false narrative while knowing he and his administration was still and accomplishing as best possible to get that relief out even after the SCOTUS had ruled against him ...I don't support them financially anymore and now I do question their message

I miss the old TYT. I'm Canadian, so they were hardly left wing for me, but at least they had entertaining segments from a comedic point of view. But a lot of that went away when they got more financing and they got onto the new RUclips Premium platform where they weren't allowed to use certain words religious groups don't like or talk about "racy" topics. Were all of those segments "newsworthy"? Not necessarily, but they showed that at the very least TYT as a network was willing to be uncensored and created the illusion they were shooting from the hip. Cenk's anti-trans stuff is a bit weird and Ana's rich white girl rants came out of nowhere. Now she's pro-Trump on immigration because she has money now and thinks the Mexicans are coming to rob her. Funny how money changes everything. Even in the beginning, I didn't take them that seriously, because they were still American and no American "news" network can be THAT left wing, but there were a few people who had interesting things to say. At least Jimmy Dore told the truth when he basically said that he'd be a progressive until someone paid him not to be. Apparently, someone did.

I was absolutely floored and so disappointed when Ben Glieb did his first few Zionist videos. By then I was only watching him and a couple other hosts. I had the same experience with Texas Paul, he had been a go-to for commentary on Trump, then after Oct 7, he put out a video saying the conflict would be over in weeks and had "thank you, Israel" in the title, that damn video is still up! And after that, he did one interviewing Kevin Roberts of the Heritage Foundation! And they're just the two most egregious. I unsubscribed and refuse to watch several other channels for their defense of Israel's raging vengeance "war" against the entire Palestinian people. It is NOT a war, wars happen between roughly equivalent forces. That is pillage with the intent of genocide.
I didn't see that Texas Paul video, I think he fell out of my YT algorithm at about that same time, if he does alot of pro occupation videos YT won't even recommend those channels to me anymore, I've gone off on too many occupation supporters... I'm pretty sure they have my account flagged too given how many messages have been autodeleted for the same language YT allow from other accounts. Disappointing.. but not surprising... America has decades if occupation propaganda to fight through and unlearn.. many people simply never will, even if they are good on everything else.

I have watched the video in question at least 30 times. I wanted to make sure that I was 100% positive before commenting anywhere on it. I lived in these apartments before I left Colorado. The landlords were why I left the state. They allowed neighbors to come to my door at 3am with handguns (on video) and the landlords refused to evict them. They allowed meth addicts and others who have low standards of living to get by for years because .orgs were paying their rent for them and they knew they'd never have to maintain the properties (they own a number of them from Aurora to Greenwood) and would keep getting that rent $ all the same. I showed an Aurora PD Sgt my videos of them beating my door and attempting to kick it in while holding firearms and the Sgt ACTUALLY said to me "I know them. They're on paper. I'll go look at their house for a gun. They're trying to get their kid back, so I'll go have a Come To Jesus Meeting with them and I'll be back in a bit." He came back 10 minutes later. I get that the one bedroom apartments there are small, but 10 minutes??? Nothing was ever done about them and over time, the police stopped coming all together. EMS made me go up the road for an ambulance even. They refused to come onto the property. I moved out of there 3.5 years ago. At the time, YES, gang members from southern California were moving to Denver and Aurora in droves. NO, it had NOTHING to do with "IlLeGAL IMmiGrAnTZ." TYT was once where I felt the most understood and represented in media. I don't know what money they started getting in after Cenk's fake presidential run, but something is fishy now at TYT. Within a week of his dropping out of the race, the brand changed it's overall opinions of any sort of actual equity. It's a shame, they could have been a force for good.

Something that I could have said earlier about Cenk but didn't was this. Cenk would say he will debate anyone, and has said this about trans/lgbtqi+ coming on and doing so. At this point one would think I'm about to say that he doesn't invite people on for this. It's worse than that for the trans debate narrative (and it's a narrative from him). You will see him say "You will never change my mind on this.,". This actually sums up his core belief, 'I'm right, you are wrong, move on.'. In my opinion, it's not worth spending the spoons (spoon theory) in engaging with him. One will have better success in educating the average person on trans and nonbinary harm and getting them to stop. I've done it. I can see Cenk and Ana are lost causes now.
This whole saga just reinforces the fact that I made the right decision to stop watching TYT years ago. They got me into left wing new media but there are much better, much less reactionary new media personalities out there.

I've been watching old TYT vids of Anna to kind of reminisce about the "good ole days", but also to see if I was ignoring red flags prior to this. There are two kinds of people in the world; People who think trans people are the gender they say they are, and as a result they will absolutely fight with and for you. Then there are the people who think we WANT to be the gender we say we are, and their actions expose them as such a person, regardless of progressive lip service. if a person believes it's a choice we made, they've already decided who we are and what we deserve. think about it; if we want civil rights, people that know it's not a choice see it as necessary equity, and understand their privilege in the scenario. people that think it's a choice will be supportive up until the point it affects THEM. because they think something we chose should only be our issue. Cenk and Ana clearly think trans people are delusional or else they would actually want to help us instead of acting like the trans community owes them something.

I looked up the crime tourism story because that's absolutely wild. Turns out it was majority one large group? Running out of a rental car place for the last few years. They were all caught, and I don't see anything reported about any kind of violent encounters. Turns out, when people want to rob someone, they'll usually try to make sure the person isn't home first. Even if it is wider reaching, the FBI seems to be focused in on it. I'll never understand the American fixation on killing anyone who steps foot near your things. If someone robs me, I'll report it to the police, report it to insurance, and try to get to know my neighbors better so that we can look out for one another. I don't care what they get their hands on - it isn't worth me having their life on my hands. It's incredible how defensive she is of her ability to murder someone, even if that someone is breaking and entering. I get that people are paranoid, but how often do you hear about home break ins turning deadly when complete strangers are involved? Unless the one being killed is the one approaching the house?

I appreciate you so much Sandee, I know that you’re in Canada and I’m in the US but our struggles are similar given governmental choices among many other external factors of which we(at least individually) have little control over if any. I too am a disabled, poor, LGBTQIA+ community member and the things I’ve seen happen(not just TYT) in the US with people(both locally in my town and in other parts of my state and the country at large) has been crazy. It’s been hard for me to not lose my temper with so many things said that are greatly exaggerated if not outright untrue. People that didn’t use to be extreme or took the time to learn about things before making choices now throw everything out the window and are saying some of the most ridiculous and unhinged things…while arguing they don’t have to provide anything as proof/substantial evidence especially when science is involved… I feel like I’m living in a world we’re everything is inverted and I don’t know what to do….more often then not I find myself either super angry about the state of things or I’m trying to not cry and have a full brake-down… It’s been way beyond rough this year, it’s been terribly stressful, frustrating, and scary(though I can’t lie it wasn’t totally unexpected it’s just extra hard for me to handle big stressful things because of my conditions given I already live daily at a very very high stress level from complex PTSD among other factors). So again thank you so much for using your voice, and doing what you can to try and get information out there.

It's always nice when TYT reminds me of exactly why I stopped watching them. I stopped watching the main Cenk & Ana content anyway. They went down a questionable direction that they obviously have zero interest in reversing from. Cenk has made it clear that he thinks trans rights are a "pointless" and "losing" topic when it comes to elections and Ana has definitely made her stance known and it's only a matter of time before she becomes a full-blown Republican. I still watch Dr. Rashad Richey, some TYT Sports segments, Rebel HQ, and Francesca Fiorentini (used to watch Nina Turner as well) because they at least give pushback to their boss's views they don't agree with, but after what happened with Benny Carollo and Ana's birthing person temper tantrum, I was over it with Cenk and Ana. I had the same experience with Texas Paul, he had been a go-to for commentary on Trump, then after Oct 7, he put out a video saying the conflict would be over in weeks and had "thank you, Israel" in the title, that damn video is still up! And after that, he did one interviewing Kevin Roberts of the Heritage Foundation! And they're just the two most egregious. I unsubscribed and refuse to watch several other channels for their defense of Israel's raging vengeance "war" against the entire Palestinian people. It is NOT a war, wars happen between roughly equivalent forces. That is pillage with the intent of genocide.
I didn't see that Texas Paul video, I think he fell out of my YT algorithm at about that same time, if he does alot of pro occupation videos YT won't even recommend those channels to me anymore, I've gone off on too many occupation supporters... I'm pretty sure they have my account flagged too given how many messages have been autodeleted for the same language YT allow from other accounts.
Disappointing.. but not surprising... America has decades if occupation propaganda to fight through and unlearn.. many people simply never will, even if they are good on everything else.

I have watched the video in question at least 30 times. I wanted to make sure that I was 100% positive before commenting anywhere on it. I lived in these apartments before I left Colorado. The landlords were why I left the state. They allowed neighbors to come to my door at 3am with handguns (on video) and the landlords refused to evict them. They allowed meth addicts and others who have low standards of living to get by for years because .orgs were paying their rent for them and they knew they'd never have to maintain the properties (they own a number of them from Aurora to Greenwood) and would keep getting that rent $ all the same. I showed an Aurora PD Sgt my videos of them beating my door and attempting to kick it in while holding firearms and the Sgt ACTUALLY said to me "I know them. They're on paper. I'll go look at their house for a gun. They're trying to get their kid back, so I'll go have a Come To Jesus Meeting with them and I'll be back in a bit." He came back 10 minutes later. I get that the one bedroom apartments there are small, but 10 minutes??? Nothing was ever done about them and over time, the police stopped coming all together. EMS made me go up the road for an ambulance even. They refused to come onto the property.
I moved out of there 3.5 years ago. At the time, YES, gang members from southern California were moving to Denver and Aurora in droves. NO, it had NOTHING to do with "IlLeGAL IMmiGrAnTZ." TYT was once where I felt the most understood and represented in media. I don't know what money they started getting in after Cenk's fake presidential run, but something is fishy now at TYT. Within a week of his dropping out of the race, the brand changed it's overall opinions of any sort of actual equity. It's a shame, they could have been a force for good.

Something that I could have said earlier about Cenk but didn't was this. Cenk would say he will debate anyone, and has said this about trans/lgbtqi+ coming on and doing so. At this point one would think I'm about to say that he doesn't invite people on for this. It's worse than that for the trans debate narrative (and it's a narrative from him). You will see him say "You will never change my mind on this.,".
This actually sums up his core belief, 'I'm right, you are wrong, move on.'. In my opinion, it's not worth spending the spoons (spoon theory) in engaging with him. One will have better success in educating the average person on trans and nonbinary harm and getting them to stop. I've done it. I can see Cenk and Ana are lost causes now.

I agree with you on all points. I unsubscribed to TYT in the wake of their anti-LGBT stance of last year. I was already pretty tired of Cenk's rants and inflexibility. His and Ana's on air and behind the scene actions broke this camel's back. Stick to your integrity. It's the reason I subscribed to your channel and keep coming back.😀

I know all of you that left TYT know what's going on with Anna(it seems particularly you). Maybe I'm off about that. I've been watching old TYT vids of Anna to kind of reminisce about the "good ole days", but also to see if I was ignoring red flags prior to this. Seems like she definitely "Jimmy Dore pilled" herself.
There are two kinds of people in the world;
People who think trans people are the gender they say they are, and as a result they will absolutely fight with and for you.
Then there are the people who think we WANT to be the gender we say we are, and their actions expose them as such a person, regardless of progressive lip service.
if a person believes it's a choice we made, they've already decided who we are and what we deserve.
think about it; if we want civil rights, people that know it's not a choice see it as necessary equity, and understand their privilege in the scenario. people that think it's a choice will be supportive up until the point it affects THEM. because they think something we chose should only be our issue. Cenk and Ana clearly think trans people are delusional or else they would actually want to help us instead of acting like the trans community owes them something.

I looked up the crime tourism story because that's absolutely wild. Turns out it was majority one large group? Running out of a rental car place for the last few years. They were all caught, and I don't see anything reported about any kind of violent encounters. Turns out, when people want to rob someone, they'll usually try to make sure the person isn't home first.
Even if it is wider reaching, the FBI seems to be focused in on it. I'll never understand the American fixation on killing anyone who steps foot near your things. If someone robs me, I'll report it to the police, report it to insurance, and try to get to know my neighbors better so that we can look out for one another. I don't care what they get their hands on - it isn't worth me having their life on my hands. It's incredible how defensive she is of her ability to murder someone, even if that someone is breaking and entering. I get that people are paranoid, but how often do you hear about home break ins turning deadly when complete strangers are involved? Unless the one being killed is the one approaching the house?

Misc. fast, the US used to have a duty to retreat too. I guess someone decided it violated our rights. On another note, this is the 3rd. video I have listened to concerning the gang thing. TYT, Majority Report and this one. You have covered it best and brought up some very good points regarding TYT reporting. I would like to listen to Medhi's report too. Ana was very upset with him.

I appreciate you so much Sandee, I know that you’re in Canada and I’m in the US but our struggles are similar given governmental choices among many other external factors of which we(at least individually) have little control over if any. I too am a disabled, poor, LGBTQIA+ community member and the things I’ve seen happen(not just TYT) in the US with people(both locally in my town and in other parts of my state and the country at large) has been crazy. It’s been hard for me to not lose my temper with so many things said that are greatly exaggerated if not outright untrue. People that didn’t use to be extreme or took the time to learn about things before making choices now throw everything out the window and are saying some of the most ridiculous and unhinged things…while arguing they don’t have to provide anything as proof/substantial evidence especially when science is involved… I feel like I’m living in a world we’re everything is inverted and I don’t know what to do….more often then not I find myself either super angry about the state of things or I’m trying to not cry and have a full brake-down… It’s been way beyond rough this year, it’s been terribly stressful, frustrating, and scary(though I can’t lie it wasn’t totally unexpected it’s just extra hard for me to handle big stressful things because of my conditions given I already live daily at a very very high stress level from complex PTSD among other factors).
So again thank you so much for using your voice, and doing what you can to try and get information out there.

To be fair, I think the gun control argument Cenk was talking about was the right wing. He is saying that the right wing will cry if the US regulates guns even 1%. I don’t think he was criticizing progressives with that argument.

See, this here is the flag that has always been there in regards to TYT. I'm not saying one has to be “reasonable” or that they need to “watch their tone” or anything like that. I’m saying that the retreat to mocking, bullying, bellicosity has ALWAYS been a part of the bag of tricks of Cenk and Ana. They do it when they are arguing for things I agree with them on, and it is still just as off-putting. I’ve never quite understood why people thought they were good representation, unless you just like that they yell at, bully and mock the targets you dislike.

It's always nice when TYT reminds me of exactly why I stopped watching them. I stopped watching the main Cenk & Ana content anyway. They went down a questionable direction that they obviously have zero interest in reversing from. Cenk has made it clear that he thinks trans rights are a "pointless" and "losing" topic when it comes to elections and Ana has definitely made her stance known and it's only a matter of time before she becomes a full-blown Republican. I still watch Dr. Rashad Richey, some TYT Sports segments, Rebel HQ, and Francesca Fiorentini (used to watch Nina Turner as well) because they at least give pushback to their boss's views they don't agree with, but after what happened with Benny Carollo and Ana's birthing person temper tantrum, I was over it with Cenk and Ana. There's better channels on RUclips to get progressive news. BTW, if I'm not mistaken, this isn't the first time these two have had a hot take on Venezuelans. Also: Cenk and Ana automatically believing something they're told the police said?? Seriously??? That's where we're at now?

But you know that a ton of people that watch YT think that there is already room for trans people in the national conversation - even if the methods to insert issues that concern any non-binary person are not well received - what can you expect in our system of politics. I think your a nice commentator, and I also stopped watching Cenk's program because of Ben.. every time i mistakenly see Ben talk i comment something to the effect of
"Ben's videos are the perfect place to comment FREE PALESTINE"
and then i click away so i dont have to hear his insufferable whiny voice. He should shove off already huh?
