  • We are doing an ice crush test with the Nutribullet 900 series. Consumer reports states that blade has cracked and chipped during their durability test. They are recommending people not buy this product and if they have it to stop using it. They say that the Nutri Ninja has passed the test and recommend it over the #nutribullet #ice #icerush #crushedice

    Thanks for all your reviews. My Nutribulliet 600 died after 9 months. I returned it to costco (lifetime warranty). I was deciding between the NN iQ and the NNpro 900. Costco had other models. I am going to get the NN pro 900 at BBB with the coupon. Your tests on the products are well done and accurate.

    I used the nutibullet to crush ice from my refriigid and it crushed it all. It just depends on the size and quality of the cubes. There are thinner and smaller size ice cubes and they work great; especially the ones from the frigid they work great!!!!!

    Read the User Manual in detail.
    Nutribullet blender is not an ice crusher. Never use more than 25% ice in the total contents as long as fill the liquid to the MAX line.

    I have a new nutribullet 900 and I tried to make ice as in snowballs and it did not do a complete job, I am not satisfied, I am not sure what to do. But thank you again for your clean demo video.

    I've made many frozen drinks with my nutribullet and the bearings must be worn out now because the blade has a wobble and make a louder sound. I used big ice cubes. I would recommend using small or thin ice cubes. I just bought a Oster Classic Series blender at walmart for $21. It has a all metal drive system. We will see how it holds up.

    I was looking at both the Nutribullet 900 and the Ninja and based on your report I'm going with the Ninja. I did like the small size of the Nutribullet do to it's size.

    I use my smaller magic bullet to make a wonderful chocolate smoothie that is half milk and half ice. I hope that if I switch to the Nutribullet 900, I will still be able to do this. In my healthier moments, I like to use frozen fruit, so I hope this works. I'm also looking for information about using Nutribullet 900 to grind sunflower seeds, flax seeds, and some raw nuts for baking. Magic bullet does all this, but only in very small quantities. I'm hopif I upgrade to the Nutribullet 900, I can do larger quantities. Does the 900 even come with a straight milling blade?

    It needs liquid to do the job properly! Make any ice cap with cold coffee, then it'll do a perfect job of crushing the ice! Read the directions for the machine before abusing it.

    I like your videos...I almost bought the nutri bullet twice today....now I might try the ninja instead. I have a juicer but the clean up is horrible and the pulp left behind is crazy! My juicer doesn't do smoothies so I want to juice and then use the ninja to make the pulp in to a nice smoothie with ice

    I noticed u used the 600 can u do a test with the rx since it has 1700 watt power. Scared to do ot on the one i havent used yet. Still trying to decide if im going to keep it

    • @ONTHERADAR1
      @ONTHERADAR1  9 лет назад +2

      The RX is not really safe for crushing ice because the blades can break. You can do it at your own risk. Just always check the blade for chips before you drink the smoothie.

    the ice he used is from a service station which is kept frozen in commercial freezer which is a lot harder n last lot longer for use for keeping things cold on bbq or fishing trips , now if he tried to crush ice from a house hold freezer it would have turned it to dust , btw you should have given the blender a bit more of a shake when it wasn't blending they where big ass rock pieces of ice lol

  • @lilybotes3574

    First of all, not all ICE is the same. Commercially made cubes are sometimes harder, hence why the instructions say it is not a Ice crusher. The question is for the consumer test is what type of ice did they use.
    Thanks for the Video, does flag up concerns we will keep an eye on before upgrading.

    First, it's always best to talk to Homeland Housewares - the Makers of the entire Bullet Family - they know their Products ❤️
    I've tried crushing ice with the Magic Bullet - it doesn't work and I won't be doing that again ❤️
    If you want ice cold, pour the Shake OVER ice or add the ice after the Shake is made and drink it that way.
    I really like the Bullet Family and I'll always go for these high quality counter top Appliances ❤️

  • @kornshadow097

    45x? Lol probably the sheer temperature variations screwed up the blades enough to make hitting rock hard ice more significant.
    Honestly I loved this 600w nutribullet but then I started making things professionally and upgrades to the 1200w blender... N omg it's waaaaay better than the old blade design and power etc.
    It did things vitamix and ninja could never do as far as consistency, power and easability. It makes things hot (like soup mixes) even though they say it can't and it crushes ice easily.
    Perfect consistency

  • @attackcenter

    Also, another thing questionable is how easy are the Nutrininja vs Nutribullet 900 cups/blades replaceable? I have noticed for one that the Nutribullet 900 cups/blades are easily replaceable from the company website and from Ebay. How is everyones experience for the Nutribullet? If NutriNinja really takes off in sales then I would not worry about parts, but if they turn out to be a "fly by night" company, then good luck getting parts later for the NutriNinja.

    • @ONTHERADAR1
      @ONTHERADAR1  9 лет назад

      I never heard of anyone complaining about the Ninja blades the way they have with the bullet blades. I have had no reason to look into new blades for my ninja so I don't know if the sell replacements although I would assume that they do. The Ninja brand has been around for a while so im sure they have that covered.

    • @attackcenter
      @attackcenter 9 лет назад +1

      RackboyzFitness True. The majority of comments I have seen on the Ninja blades were that they seemed to be made out of a harder steel then the Nutribullet. I think I'd would have more suspicions regarding the NutriNinja motor, especially when they advertise the unit as a ice crusher. I think your best bet (whichever) one you buy, is to buy it from Walmart and get the extended warranty. If anything happens then you can return products for a full refund issued by a Walmart gift card.

      RackboyzFitness Great advice. Yeah. Also, of course you can use the 20% off coupons that everyone gets from the mailings. I think to make the test fair a water should have been added. you said yourself in a different video you realized you were burning your motor because you weren't using enough water. and that was using frozen fruit which is still softer than ice cubes.

    • @VintageNewscast
      @VintageNewscast 7 лет назад +1

      You have to be so careful interpreting these articles. Before I even started using ice, Nutribullet already told me that thick clumps of ice would wear out the blades. They recommended that I do not put whole "rock hard" ice directly in to the bullet, but try to crush as much as I can before hand. Now, to be honest, I have two 900w bullets and a RX, and I never had a problem with frozen fruit or vegetables. I think testing crush ice 45 times is a little retarded if you ask me. I think that whoever written that article, was just trying to find an excuse to be bias. JMHO
