I would choose the Nutri Bullet Pro due to the hands free feature and its ability to break down the kale and almonds so well. Thanks for doing this test, it was very informative.
"I'm too busy to make smoothies".... Just wow. I hear that too much from my friends who just don't want to give up their eggs and bacon.... It literally takes a minute and a half.
@@BlenderBabes I was going to say that! I am getting this bullet blender now just so I don't have to deal with cleaning a big one, no more sticking my arm in a big sharp blender!
Hi - What I don't get about these blender tests - is that they often stick to a single time. For instance, in this video - "one minute". What if that is a good time for the Nutribullet - but the Ninja requires more time to reach the same consistency? I'm just wondering if these tests are set up for the Ninja to fail due to comparing times instead of comparing recommended manufacturer blender times?
It appears that you didn’t read the directions for the Ninja. The recommendation is to “pulse” when blending (probably the reason why needs to be manually pressed?), so I’m not totally sold in the nutribullet.
I read all the directions - pulsing just helps to move items around or chop things up. It's not best for pulverizing. They improved this feature by not requiring manual pressing on all later models - because it's cumbersome and consumers obviously don't like it very much. Hope that helps! Happy Blending! ~Tarashaun
@@BlenderBabes You didn't know the way the Ninja blender was design since you are only viewing this new model. The Ninja always needed to be pressed even from the older models, because the ice needs pulse first. so the pressing is for the control. And you are supposed to stop after 10s prevent overheating. If you only have the on switch like in the Bullet then you can't make shaved ice. They are both entirely different design. You cannot compare products that are not working the same way.
What a fantastic comparison! and I really appreciated that you put the liquids through the fine mesh sieves.Perhaps in your next video you might show how they do blending the ‘stringy-er’ types of fruits & veggies, such as mangos, papayas, celery, and chard.
I have used my ninja blender every day for the last 4 years. I use it for sauces, dressings, soups, salsa and pico de gallo, smoothies, pesto, grinding coffee beans, and homemade hummus. I have found the smaller blending cups do make things smoother. I love my ninja!
Awesome! Do you have this specific model or an upgraded one? I found this one hard to use but they have an upgraded version you don't have to hold down. MUCH better!
Does it crush ice well? And when you make soup can you just put it in hot? Or cool down first? And I read that the Nutribullet you need to unscrew everytime using it and has a smell after awhile Does the Nutri ninja the same or no?
@@meztiza90 I had not crushed ice by itself. I put ice in my smoothies and it crushes it well. I have used the blender for both hot soups and cold soups with good results. I have not noticed any smells from the machine. I use the Ninja Pro

I actually thought the Nutri Ninja Pro would do better so that was a surprise. That's why these video's are important and what I love about your video's are how you guys cover all the important details and actually show how well each blender performs (or under performs) to your audience. I would definitely use this video or any one of your videos as a reference before I make a blender purchase.
The ninja does better when it comes to heavier ingredients or if you want to use ice for a cold drink....the bullets blades don't shine as much with heavy ingredients frozen veggies or ice.
So the NutriBullet wins because it was demonstrated to blend Kale and almonds? Sorry to say, there are people out there that are allergic to nuts and not everyone likes kale. I have the new NutriNinja Auto-iQ 1000 watts and hands down, it's an awesome blender. There's more than 3 settings to choose from and you don't need to hold it down to blend. You can also walk away from the blender as well. Mine blends Kale perfectly fine but, I don't like nuts in my smoothie anyway.
This video spoke to me. I am on the market for a strong blender and I just can't pick. I like to see the Bullet pro in action. I'd like to see a mango blend. Mango has hairs which can get caught in the blades so you need a strong blender to handle that. It's also great for smoothies because of the flavor and consistency. I'd like to see coconut as well.
I use the Bullet and I also bought a fine mesh strainer. My husband has throat cancer so the fiber in his drinks I had to filter even with the Bullet. If you are wanting a drink with less fiber get a maserating extractor. Cost is way more than a hundred dollar NurtiBullet. The bullet does a good job and I dont mind the fiber but like I said husband couldnt tolerate that much fiber in his drinks.
I have been looking at these. The Ninja may have done better with a slightly longer blend time, but I really like the hands-free action of the NutriBullet. Thank You!
Yes… I’ve given up on my ninja. I have arthritis in my hands and there are days. It’s impossible to get the black cap off. Not to mention it never quite blends the kale. Just ordered a Nutra bullet.
Love that the NutriBullet PRO is hands-free and that it makes a non-gritty smoothie. They both did a great job blending a variety of ingredients to make a great smoothie but the NutriBullet PRO did much better blending the almonds and kale. I learned a lot from the video! Thanks!
I bought both of these. After using them daily for about 2 months, the Nutribullet started leaking. Am still using my Nutri Ninja. No complaints and they both worked the same as far as being smooth with no grit.
I think where the other pulls ahead is when you use heavier ingredients or if you want to add ice....then the ninja pulls ahead of the bullet...I have used both.
I wish I had seen this video before I bought my ninja. The ninja does leave a lot of grit and I have to blend longer, killing more of the nutrients because of the heat it produces. I guess it's not enough to read reviews. Seeing is believing. Thanks for the video.
Thx for the feedback Georgina! I would add more ice/frozen fruit to your current Ninja model to prevent it heating the produce... and maybe Santa will upgrade your blender this year!! :)

anizares1 all of these greens have Fido nutrients and are very good for you. Dandelion greens has a very strong flavor so most people can’t do more than 1/ 4th to a half a cup in their green smoothies so you might not get as many nutrients as you would with 2 cups of kale or spinach. It’s really important to rotate your greens anyways so you can use all of them! 😊
Interesting results! Before watching this I would have assumed the Ninja would out perform. Thank you for the information on which personal size blender handles smoothies best!!
I love it but, you guys heard david, the nutribullet is not a blender and it doesn't make smoothies. (thoughhe is probably trying to energize things up)
I read your complete review of these two blenders and was easy to decide but the video shows even more of a reason to pick the NutriBullet PRO instead of the Nutri Ninja which both have 900 watt motors. I wouldn't want to spend the money on the latter even with a better price since not positive it would blend ice completely.
Yes I have searched for a good blender don't know much about them but ever since I was diagnosed with a Auto immune disease I been looking into inflammatory smoothies what I liked about this video is all the details and information learned a good bit thanks to you ladies !

It would be helpful if rather than showing the specs on one slide and then another, you did a compare/contrast slide so we can really tell how the specs measure up. so are these only for stuff like smoothies then? do they make blenders for like everything? I work too hard for my money to have to go out and have 5 different blenders in my house :(
I liked that you did a sieve test, as a taste test is so subjective. However, it wasn't really as equal as it could be, as different people could push the mix through more or less. I'd rather have a time lapse sequence where you've let the mix sit in the sieves for an hour or so and then compare.
I'm so glad you did this video !! Nutri Bullet Pro is for me ,I only have 1 arm so the hands free just sold me on it ,and I have a question does the pro come with recipe book as well ??

My sons in college love smoothies, the nutri-bullet pro looks like the one I would get for them. (Christmas gift?) I liked to see the comparisons of these blenders, but I wonder how they would do against the Blend-Tec, which is what I use. There's an idea for your next blend-off.
Thank you so much for taking the effort to compare. It totally helped me make my decision. I'm buying one for myself and all my family for Christmas. Nutri Bullet Pro ❤
You can soak the almonds before, and I sold my Vitamix to a juice bar as it was too big for a single person. Check out the new vaccum blenders as they save 90% of the nutrients as they suck out the air from the carafe. Regular blenders oxidate the nutrients. I have the Nutribullet pro 900. Most raw foodists prefer blenders over cold press juicers. Your skin just glows in the video.
I was impressed with the Nutri Bullet Pro. It sounded fairly quiet and the smoothie looked, well, smooth. This would come in handy when my 3 year (impatient...lol) grandson visits. I love that you can take it with you. I would like to see any heart healthy smoothie that helps to keep arteries cleaned out.
I mostly have smoothies in the summer before i go off to work, that is my breakfast and lunch as i drive a lot during my job.I never thought of adding almonds to my smoothie, but now I see that i could if I wanted. I would perfer the Nutra Bullet Pro, for a few reasons but the hands free for me is very important, I have bad shoulders and if there is too much vibration in my shoulder I feel it later on in the evening, so for me the Nutra Bullet Pro is more user friendly for me, thanks so much..I will look into purchasing one for myself, thanks
Thank you for pointing out the good and the bad of these two blenders I was looking at the Nutra Ninja Pro but, I see that it seems a bit of a challenge to hold it down to make your shake and I liked that the NutriBullet is a big larger so it seems that I could add more ingredients easier if I wanted.
Great video, thank you for doing this. I bought a blender a few years ago and trying to figure out which one would blend the smoothest was not easy, and I did not end up with what I wanted. The Nutrition Bullet Pro is what I will by next. I do love smoothies and I want the smooth creamy consistency. Plus hand free!
I have both. And I think the ninja worls better. However both are not good with carrots so I use the jack lalane for carrots and the ninja for the rest
I sure don't feel like holding down the container and from the results of your enjoyable video I would have to go with the NutriBullet Pro. Love almonds in my smoothies more recipes with almonds and fruit would be great.
like a fool I purchased a blender before looking at reviews but I'm so happy to find out the one I chose is the one you guys giving thumbs up to!I'm really happy you guys did a smear test because great and taste is so subjective but the smear test is proof
The fact that I don't have to hold down to blend makes the Nutri Bullet Pro a winner to me. Being a mom makes that a necessity when hurrying to make smoothies for my kiddos in the mornings.
Great video. If I was in the market for one of these two blenders I would have to go with the NutriBullet Pro over the Nutra Ninja Pro. I don't understand the design concept of the Nutri Ninja Pro. Having to hold down the container in order to blend is asinine in my honest opinion.
Thank you for this review, It helped me decide to purchase the NutriBullet Pro. Curious, can you make smoothies the night before? I don't to wake the whole house at 6am. TIA!
Hi, Kris, Yes you can also make your smoothie the night before and store in a tightly sealed container up to 3 days in the fridge. I understand, it can get noisy and you definitely don't want that. :)
I have found it difficult to pay attention to what you said because I was embarrassed by your beauty... but what I did and I thank you for the comparison and for the opportunity you give us, thanks bella!
Hi Karl Hans! I haven’t tested a sliced avocado seed. I imagine that would pretty hard to do with either of these blenders though due to the limited power. I know a Blendtec blender can do it no problem.
There are natural chemicals in kale that will keep you from really digesting it unless the veins are removed, the leaves steamed, the juice squeezed out (to squeeze out as much of those bad chemicals as possible) and butter (or other medium to long chain fat) added. Raw kale in a smoothie once in a great while won't kill you, but drinking them all of the time will keep you from absorbing the wonderful nutrients in it as well as any other similar nutrients in the food you eat with it.
Really impressed with the NutriBullet Pro and the results with the side-by-side comparison. Would love to try the Pro to experiment with tasty smoothie combinations for my family especially hiding the greens.
I was wondering how much better the Pro was in comparison. I have been tempted to buy the regular one but have seen a lot of negative feedback. I would love to see how well the pro does for celery since it is so stringy and mango has so many fibers too. The pro looks like it could handle most things. As you know, I've been wanting a good blender for a long time but with funds being limited, I have been searching the lower end ones. This helps for sure but I may just continue to save for a vitamix. lol Thank you!
Awesome. I am currently using an older Nutribullet and have been wanting to upgrade and wasn't sure what would be best. I really like the Nutribullet Pro.

My sons in college love smoothies, the nutri-bullet pro looks like the one I would get for them. (Christmas gift?) I liked to see the comparisons of these blenders, but I wonder how they would do against the Blend-Tec, which is what I use. There's an idea for your next blend-off.
Lovely video. Can you please devise a smoothie to help with male pattern baldness? I need to reduce dht.
I like seeing the comparisons, anyone can say anything but seeing it in action really gives a clearer more accurate comparison.
Thanks, Paul! I love substituting a smoothie for a meal as well. Please let me know if you have any questions regarding the Nutri Bullet Pro.
Yes I like the bigger jar as well. :) Holding it down was NOT fun.
How much is that nutribullet PRo? Philippines peso bill?
Sorry, I'm not sure how much to the Philippines.
like a fool I purchased a blender before looking at reviews but I'm so happy to find out the one I chose is the one you guys giving thumbs up to!I'm really happy you guys did a smear test because great and taste is so subjective but the smear test is proof
What is the difference between the NutriBullet Pro and the NutriBullet Rx?
Power.
Use the flat blade for harder things like nuts, then use the other blade to make smooth overall.
Which one is less noisy?
Sorry I didn't test the decibels but they are both equally noisy.
It probably depends on the amount of watts that each one has.
NutriBullet PRO for me
They need to work on their editing. A lot of awkward silences. Maybe on the hosting too. Otherwise great review and comparison
hi , good content, it would be cool if the models had no top on during demonstration
Lmao
The fact that I don't have to hold down to blend makes the Nutri Bullet Pro a winner to me. Being a mom makes that a necessity when hurrying to make smoothies for my kiddos in the mornings.
Great video. If I was in the market for one of these two blenders I would have to go with the NutriBullet Pro over the Nutra Ninja Pro. I don't understand the design concept of the Nutri Ninja Pro. Having to hold down the container in order to blend is asinine in my honest opinion.
Yes plus it doesn't blend as well!! The NutriBullet PRO performed better in most of our other tests too.
Thank you! I purchased the nutribullet pro 900
I liked the comparison of the 2 blenders. I would start with a tomato based smoothie.
i like that you used a sieve to separate the liquids, it showed which one did better. i would totally go with the NutriBullet.
Can this blend sliced avocado seeds?
Hi Karl Hans! I haven’t tested a sliced avocado seed. I imagine that would pretty hard to do with either of these blenders though due to the limited power. I know a Blendtec blender can do it no problem.
@@BlenderBabes alright.
I love the Nutri Ninja
I would like to see a comparison of walnuts and macadamia nuts
There are natural chemicals in kale that will keep you from really digesting it unless the veins are removed, the leaves steamed, the juice squeezed out (to squeeze out as much of those bad chemicals as possible) and butter (or other medium to long chain fat) added. Raw kale in a smoothie once in a great while won't kill you, but drinking them all of the time will keep you from absorbing the wonderful nutrients in it as well as any other similar nutrients in the food you eat with it.
NutriBullet is tops in my books I've about wore mine out.
Love how the video shows what it's like to use it and the difference in the finished product!
Really impressed with the NutriBullet Pro and the results with the side-by-side comparison. Would love to try the Pro to experiment with tasty smoothie combinations for my family especially hiding the greens.
u cant’t give them a spatula?
Is this NutriBullet 600 or 900 W?
J.R. Payopanin hi! It’s the 900 watt 😊
Blender Babes thanks! :)
That's a great suggestion, Angela! We would have to consider a review using celery as well.
What a great video!! Thank you for your review, it's much appreciated!
Awesome. I am currently using an older Nutribullet and have been wanting to upgrade and wasn't sure what would be best. I really like the Nutribullet Pro.
I would get the NutriBullet Pro. I have been awed at how open and honest you have been in your newsletters. Thank you.
Thanks so much LM, that means a lot to me. Glad you're part of our tribe!
I had the Ninja and now I understand why I didn't like it... It was always too gritty indeed.. good to know there's the nutri bullet option, thank you!
Thank you for the video! It help me make up my mind on which blender to purchase.
So glad you found it helpful!
I enjoyed this test because you get to see how they compare to each other.
Do these can grind seeds to powder
granand the Nutribullet does have a separate milling blade that you can purchase to use for grinding seeds
So glad I watched this video! We are about to significantly downsize our living arrangements by moving into a camper temporarily and I will be packing up all my appliances- including my Blendtec. I was bummed thinking that I wouldn’t be able to enjoy my smoothies. Now I know what to get to solve that problem!!! Thank you! I love your videos!
