    Whats up guys?
I wanted to show you real quick
    something
Some complaints that people are having
    with the
    Nutribullet.
    And
    somethings I tend to
    actually
    overlook
    and ignore
    actually.
    Now
    if you look
    inside
    the nutribullet
    it stains
    its like
    the stuff drips out
    and
    I'm usually on the go
so I dont always clean it
    right away.
    Sometimes I'm not really
    thinking about it.
    I make my drink
    and I'm gone.
    So
    about once a week
    or whatever
    I
    go back and I
    clean it when
    I realize
    alright damn
    this thing is getting
    dirty.
    Now
    What happens is
    if you haven't seen
    the other video
    that I have done
    what happens is
These cups have a max line
    capacity.
    See?
    What
    I
    and a lot of
    other people
    tend to do
    is
    fill it past
    this max line.
    Now
    what happens
    when you
    do that.
    All the liquid is gonna
    push out
    and it starts
    to push
    though
    this little
    thing.
    Now
    as it gets old
    as the blade
    gets old
    I dont know
    if you can see it
    sorry.
    I dont know
    if you can se it
    but
    you start to get
    the separation
    between the blade
    and the
    the middle of it.
    That causes
    when you put too much
    liquid
    that pressure makes
    it push though
    it leaks
    though the bottom.
    You can see
    the rust on my finger.
    It starts to rust.
    Some people complain
    that it leaks
    around the
    sealing right here.
    But
    its actually
    its coming from
    this way.
And if you see the blades
    there is some
    discoloration
    on it.
    Its not rust
    actually
    its just like
I think if I scrubbed it
    it would come off.
    A lot of times
    I have a habit of
    just rinsing it off
    and
    I guess
    the little
    stuff just gets
    stuck on it.
    Like I said
    it does
    rust under here
    and
    the little things
    start to
    come out.
    You have to push them
    back in.
    Nutribullet
    does tend
    to get loud
    sometimes also
    and a lot of
    people are having
    issues with it.
    People ask me
    about this.
    These are actually
    minor things to me.
    One person just
    told me that
    they bought
    the nutribullet
    recently and it
    leaked.
    It burnt out the motor.
    And
    you know
    people are having
    issues with it.
    Other than this
    leak issue
    witch is basically
    like I said
    because this thing gets
    loose and you
    overfill it.
    I dont have any problems
    with this thing
    and
    these things
    I can
    overlook.
    I wipe it out
    witch I'm about to do
    I'm going to
    take a paper towel
    wet it slightly
    and just
    wipe it out.
    And its not going to
    have any problems.
    I haven't had
    any problem
    with the motor.
    So
    these are things
    to look for
    if you are purchasing
    the nutribullet
    or of you
    are thinking about purchasing
    ther are some issues.
    I have heard that
    the company has
    made the newer
    versions better.
    So it doesnt
    have these issues.
    The blade is reenforced
    around the bearing
    part
    and
    just little
    minor things.
    For me these
    are not really
    big issues
    compared to
    what the nutribullet
    does for me.
    So
    you know
    I'm just
    bringing this to
    peoples attention.
    There are
    certain
    risk factors
    with using a
    nutribullet
    it does have its
    little drawbacks
    but those
    are the only ones
    and
    if
    for me
    this is not a reason
    not to purchase
    this
    product.
    So dont let that
    be an excuse
    not to purchase
    the product
    because
    the bad things...
    the positives
    greatly outweigh
    the negatives
    with this.
    So
    I just hope this
    helps anybody
    who has
    a nutribullet
    who is thinking baout
    getting a
    nutribullet
    You have to take
    the good
    with the bad
    I guess but
    its not that serious
    at least not for me.
    So
    any questions
    comments
feel free to hit me up.
    If you feel this
    video helpful
    please hit the like button.
    The support
    does make
    a big difference.
    And until
    next time
    good luck with
    your nutribullet.
    Good luck juicing.

    Stay fit.

Used correctly, this machine works perfectly. So many people DO NOT read the instructions, and that is a MUST to do. I NEVER go beyond the MAX line when putting in liquids. It stands to reason that overfilling the container will lead to problems. Thank you for saying other positive things about this product. It is a wonderful product.

thanks fitness radar, i just purchased the nutribullet and will be sure to take care of it, i think the part about the max line is really helpful for me as i try to get the most into the nutribullet getting the most out of it. Keep doing what you're doing, I'm hoping to see more on the nutribullet maintenance, recipes etc…. (:

Totally agree. It even says in the booklet to give it a wipe over after using it. It's not hard to just stick to what the instructions and warnings say like not going over the max line, I would expect people to get results like this when they clearly warn you about them! I have more problems with my old blender than with the Nutribullet.

Totally he should do. Suppose to clean it everyday! I mean once a week? I bet your bullet stinks -_'- and not suppose to over fill it. I think you should upgrade it to the Nutribullet Pro. They give a bigger cup so you don't have to fill it over the max line..

The nutribullet is so easy to clean, if you just keep that up, it's going to last. Don't put the blade in dishwasher, it take two seconds to rinse off after use. It's been six months of daily abuse by multiple people and it still works like new. One thing I would stress, don't leave it running for too long. (the nutribullet takes only a few seconds to blend everything.....bursts at a time) Love it!

i've had the leaking problems but i realized (at the time, not from this video) that it was due to me trying to sneak a little bit more in over the max line). my concern was that it might hurt the motor. my biggest concern is that regardless of cleaning, the NB jars stain. here's a shout to nb customer service, they replaced a jar (under warraty) when a piece of frozen avocado shot through the side. another note, regardless of the "max line" some things will "explode" and shoot out leaking. beet powder added to a smoothie is particularly volatile. just a comment, as i have adjusted. considering a move from NB Lean to NB RX. any input?

I use this everyday, twice a day. My mate also uses it everyday, twice a day as well. If you take literally under 1 minute to whip the blender's base, it will be nice. Cleaning it after every use helps it to stay new as well. Once you keep it clean, you can avoid these problems. LOL following the max line is a great idea as well. Hahaha. Can get cheaper blenders that do the same thing. Once you keep good care of a product, will last long. The pressure gained from fulling beyond the max point, when it blends, you can literally feel as if it will fall a part.

Quite funny reading all these comments. Some of them are complaints like 'its leaking' and you read more and it says 'yes I do overfill it BUT it shouldn't leak like that' or 'its rusty. I must admit I don't clean it every day BUT'
Seriously?! You cant complain about a product if you don't take care of it! Its like leaving a soup in the fridge for 12 months, eating it, being sick and claiming the product was at fault.
If it is your fault, or if you think it is your fault, because you didn't take proper care of it, don't complain, it just makes you look silly!
On the other hand, if you know you have taken all the steps to make sure these things didn't happen, and they did, you have every right to complain, and demand a refund for the item.

Yep, I totally agree. Today I filled the cup to the brim with ingredients but made sure the water was about a finger width below the max line and it didn't leak a single drop. But, with our busy lives I can see how people can get less attentive to this and make a mistake of overfilling.

I have a video comparing the two blade, The one you have is the newer one. There are a few people that say they are having the same problem with it. I think the problem is mostly over filling it and not adding enough liquid. It puts to much stress on the blade and makes it come loose. Even with this issue I still love this product. Best of luck to you!

  • @terrystrand

You are absolutely right in saying that many people OVERFILL the NutriBullet and cause it to leak through the seal. The container has a line on it that says MAX, but I see complaints and even RUclips reviews where the guy overfills the unit and then complains that it leaks or the motor overheats. I love my NutriBullet, and I have been using blenders/processors for decades.

  • @terrystrand
    @terrystrand 10 лет назад

    Great comparison...thanx! I ♥ my NutriBullet.
I've used blenders and food processors for years, and the Nutribullet is a totally different process. Here's why: It is for liquefying veggies/fruits/nuts. The Ninja and other blenders just sort of chop them up into smaller pieces without liquefying. It's also better than the VitaMaster and juicers which are designed to separate out the pulp....I WANT the pulp, not only the juice. I bought the seven dollar maintenance agreement, too.

  • @robertbelknap
    @robertbelknap 9 лет назад +1

Went through this same situation, nutribullet has a new blade assembly but, it won't work with older units, so they sent me a new motor unit as well. as far as preventing leaks, if you overfill the cup it will pressure up when it's turned on and leak at it's weakest point. through the rubber gasket, or through the blade bearing housing. to prevent rust I do not submerge the blade unit in the sink, (water + metal = rust) lift gasket out clean well, and I spray blade assembly with germ x type cleaner and soapy water then rinse lightly.

  • @OutaSynch
    @OutaSynch 10 лет назад

I noticed you were using the old style blades. I had problems with that type too. The newer version is much improved. I can take the new ones apart to clean them whereas I couldn't do that with the older ones. The only thing they need to do to improve the product now would be to add a knob, like the Waring variable speed blender (YO-04245-60), that would give multiple speeds. You would then lock the container onto the base, and then turn the knob to the desired speed. Just one variable speed knob would do, not a dozen buttons to press. Add that feature to the NB Pro and you'd have a near-perfect blender.

  • @judy1104
    @judy1104 10 лет назад

I have to agree with you. The blade has become loose and has the separation that you described. I think the motor is still good. So I may have to get a new blade eventually. All in all, I like the Nutribullet better than any other I have tried for smooth drinks. I can handle anything I put into it.

  • @wisskier
    @wisskier 9 лет назад +1

The leaking is a well known issue and it comes down to the keeping your stuff at or under the line. The problem I have with the NB is the wet blade bearings gave out in about a year of use, I noticed some goop leaking and then a day or two later the blade seized. I guess the goop was leaking lubricant. I statted using our old full sized blender and have come to prefer that over the NB and now we have a Vitamix. However, I am getting the wet blade replaced 'cause the wife doesn't want to use the full sized blender for her "small" needs.

I had the same leakage problem with my 1st Extractor Blade. Since I have an Extended Warranty, I called Customer Service and they replaced the top for free, but I paid about $3.95 for shipping. I was overfilling the cup too. The Representative said when the blade or rubber gasket goes bad, it needs to be replaced. That is the reason it gets louder. A bad blade causes the motor to run hard and hot. Believe it or not, the motor did quiet down when I used the replacement blade. Hope this helps.

  • @rikijulio64
    @rikijulio64 10 лет назад +1

I had the same problem and the cheapest solution was to replace the blades, I disassemble the old blade and notice that the two bearings REF (626ZZ) they have in the shaft were badly damaged in a short time. According to the television commercial says that putting fruits and vegetables into large pieces into the glass, I think this is negative, the poor cutting blades and apparently by high engine revolution is no filtration of the juice to the bearings.

Very glad I viewed this Video before buying my first Nutribullet. I see the parts have to be replaced now and then, like a smart phone needs a new battery now and then and its important to wash it now and then..but just to save the hassle..your looking at having to buy parts which to me will be probably cost more than I would spend on a blender. The feedback is great to know. Thank you

I actually had the same problem. I approaches mine about a year-and-a-half ago when this began to occur. Eventually just stopped working on together which send me to be honest. But I chose to buy a Nutri Ninja unit on my next purchase. It is not the auto IQ or anything larger but just the manual twist and push. I find this particular product to be most energetic and pleasant to use. And also , the fact that the blades are raised up , which allows for easy use, which allows for the next person to use it if necessary. It can be used right away even when wet. There is no leakage there is no rust. There is just pure enjoyment and the product that you make within this item you can only be pleased with. Good job Nutri Ninja.

This happened with my nutribullet. When the blade starts to separate and leak the nutribullet will get much louder. So if your unit is performing with more noise it probably means that your blade needs to be replaced. My unit was under warranty so the nutribullet people replaced it with just a shipping fee.

I use red nail polish to make a very visual extension of the "max" line. I found that the small black line is hard to see when filled with spinach or dark greens. I clean the jar & extractor blade by rinsing with warm water and the filling the jar to max line with warm water and a few drops of dishwashing detergent. Place back in the base and run for 30 seconds. Then simply rinse. Hope this helps other users.

I just bought a Nutribullet online, and it's currently being shipped. I've watched all the reviews and complain videos posted on RUclips. To summarize:
    1. Read the manual carefully, and follow what it says.
    2. Don't fill water / liquid beyond the 'max' line on the jar
    3. Don't run the blades for more than 15-20 seconds at a time.
    4. Clean thoroughly immediately after each use
    5. Take apart the blade assembly once a week, and deep clean
    6. Change the blade assembly annually. It is very reasonably priced.
    7. Don't use NutriBullet for anything other than smoothies, juices and chutneys. Certainly not for dry grinding and nut-buttering.

I checked it out. I have not had that same problem but did have a similar problem before I purchased a new blade. I wonder if the blade was rusting from being left in water after using it. I have been treating my new blade much better and im checking to see if this one last any longer due to better care.

Thanks for showing this, how old is your NutriBullet? I ask because I have see some reviews on Amazon that say their blades started wobbling and the unit leaking within 2 months of once a day use even if the unit was not overfilled.

The instuctions clearly state that you should NOT fill the cup above the MAX line.
Like any appliance, if you don't follow manufacturer's instructions, you can expect problems.

If you see rust be careful because it sometimes leaks up through the cup.. Put just water in the cup and blend it for a bit and see that it changes color!

  • @MrJellydiamond

I don't overfill it and it still "leaks" though we've confirmed pretty much that it's also grease or whatever was packed in the bearings leaking out of the bottom- so that means it can also go into my drink as the seal is loosened after time. The first time it happened I was freaked- it was like a super dark brown sludge- and lots of it and it was not a cocoa smoothie at the time...I can't believe the crap I've gotten out while trying to troubleshoot and clean this thing out completely. (ran hot water several times and used paper towels to get under the rubber base that is on the underside where it leaks. Yes I've pushed the fill amount in the past and maybe that didn't help with the pressure as this guy mentioned but my mother has one that I bought from the same place at the same time (though they look like two completely different models- hers has a plastic' liner' around the inside of the base that makes it look terrible- can NOT clean up the leaks which get in between and makes it look dirty! Blade base is different too...) and she never over fills it yet she's had the exact same liquid/sludge leak out. I pretty much clean base out completely (using a toothpick etc. to get every little crevice and take out the rubber plugs to clean them as well) each and every time and I do clean the blade with soap and water with a scrubby sponge, yet I have the exact same discoloration/residue on my blades as shown in this video.(though I can get the base looking clean!)
THAT said, :-) I do LOVE this thing- I am just trying to decide if I really want to purchase another one knowing how many issues it has after about a year of use. (used daily in the first few months and now prob. 2-5 times a week- varies) The blade now is so tight that it barely can be forced to spin- this is causing the motor to sound as though it will burn out any day now. It hurts my ears to try to run it....I've been using olive oil sprayed under the blade on both sides (using a "Misto") as I know whatever I 'lube' it with will end up in my drink in some amount. That does help and has enabled me to not blow it up yet. ;-) The second blade which is a "milling" blade is great and still is without probelms though it is used far less often and in much much shorter bursts unless you are trying to make butter- cause it will do so if you do it for more than a few seconds at a time. It is awesome for making your own flours out of every imaginable nut, grain, or seed!! Even tiny little Teff grains are mostly ground by this thing! I do short little bursts to avoid heat damage to the grain/nut.(you can actually see sides steam up a little if not careful!) That is simply amazing if you know how TINY Teff grains are- they make Amaranth look huge ;-) This has been a wonderful boost for my health though...from forcing nutrient dense drinks full of raw veggies that I otherwise would not eat (lets be honest- we're not all good little rabbits!) and I can grind what I need at a time to make gluten free baked goods of all types.
Gotta admit I'm going to check out Ninja's new version...they obviously realized that the concept was a winner to all but copy it. I'm also considering the VItamix but don't know enough to yet to know if my uses would justify the cost. I don't use my juicer anymore after having the Nutribullet... I get the same benefits plus the fiber. (who really bakes right after juicing to use the pulp?! and the baggies of it in my freezer constantly ended up being tossed).
SO YES, I recommend this thing but don't expect it to last but so long- clean it and don't push it and maybe you'll get more time...can't take it apart by the way to clean or repack what we are guessing are the bearings...but it WILL get you on your way to better health!! ;-) Sorry so long- just want to give all the info as I read others info to make decisions yet never give back! PS- watch the amount of green leafy veggies you use- look into Oxalate levels and the dangers of ingesting too much for some people!!!! ( a huge concern in the medical field re: the green smoothie/juice trend over the past several years)
SO pardon me, but we're not all "morons" and did not misuse or abuse the product!!! And I do have one with the "new" metal plate- leaks worse than the older one but gets more use...but BOTH had the nasty drainage....also, figured out the little black/dark brown "bits" and powder that I'd notice in the base and coating the little rubber plugs when it didn't leak were the dried version of what had previously leaked out being spun out in dried form. YUM. (and yes, I looked at the rubber closely thinking it had not seated correctly and was the source of the dark residue/bits but it's perfectly intact- it's the same drainage (got it wet and looks the same!) & will come out if you spray hot water up at the connection and then shake it out hard- you will see it coming out from under the rubber "foot" piece. SO yes, we also cleaned things properly...people can be so rude on these comments ;-)... assume everyone are morons....though I can understand why I guess based on many people's ability to follow or even read the directions!! ;-)

Here is a question? the max line is there for a reason, two wear and tear is only natural with any appliance, if you use it with negligence well you will have problems I bought another after three years and i use it four times a day everyday. nothing went wrong, when the juice leaked i just got another one and i got a discount for second purchase.

I bought mine six months ago and I have used it at least 150 times with no issues. Yes I am addicted to green smoothies now. I try not to run it longer than 45 seconds, and I also keep the liquid under the max. Based on the date of your video, I may have the older model that tend to wear out at the blade, so if it should burn out within the year then I am buying a Vitamix.

Nancy FTR I own a Vitamix and I find myself using the Nutribullet more often, I only use the Vitamix when entertaining or making a large batch of soup. For the price you really can't beat the power of the Nutribullet and people who say they burn out the motor, I seriously wonder what kind of stress they are putting their machine under, even Vitamix's have limitations, at my old work I saw them go thru 2 Vitamix's making very THICK sorbet type products, you can prevent burning out the motor by making sure you stop occasionally and shake things up. Pick up the whole unit when blending thick things (I don't recommend blending thick things) and shake the unit to make sure the blades do not get tied up and you lessen the changes of blowing out your motor... I know the Magic Bullet used to have a feature that when the motor overheated it tripped a little fuse type thing on the inside to prevent it from completely burning out, you let it rest for a little and use it and it fixed itself, not sure if the Nutribullet has this but seriously RackboyzFitness is 100% correct, the benefits outweigh these little "issues"

    • @ONTHERADAR1
      @ONTHERADAR1  10 лет назад

I agree, most of the problems are from misuse. Adding liquid is important to get things blending better. If its too thick its not going to catch the blades and your motor will just spin. If done correctly there is no reason to run the motor more than a few seconds. The NB is powerful.

I agree with you that the good outweighs the bad. My Nutribullet also leaks, and it has gotten more noisy, but it still works great and liquefies everything I put in it. I also have a Vitamix, but I find the Nutribullet easier to use and clean. I have found that the Vitamix will also heat ingredients when run long enough to liquefy. The Nutribullet doesn't do that. I don't use the Nutribullet for grinding because I have other appliances for that. I prefer the Nutribullet for smooth drinks.

I clean my NutriBullet very well after each use, but as far as I can tell, there's no way to reach behind that clear plastic. Do you or anyone else have any idea how get behind /inside there to clean it?

The blade components must be rinsed with warm soapy water immediately after each use. My Nutribullet 900W still in perfect clean condition, as I rinsed and wipe the motor gear area after each use. Must check the gear area after each blending to make sure no leaking. Never fill liquid above max line. Never blend more than 60 seconds.

And even if I don't overfill it it spills if I don't close it right enough. It's hard to know if you are at max or not when I have frozen fruit that doesn't sit flat. I just got mine and I love it, I suppose they have guidelines and rules for a reason, like not overfilling it. What do people expect is going to happen if you do that. And in the pamphlet you can purchase new blade bottoms. SO when it wears out get a new one. When ur breaks wear out on ur car u get new ones rt, So whats the difference, preventative maintenance for what ever it is is usually recommended lol.

I treat mine like a baby, washed and dried by hand meticulously every time. The carbon steel shaft is rusting from water from washing. The water sits inside next to the shaft and is impossible to dry out so rust occurs. The looseness is because the shaft diameter is getting smaller. It is happening to me too. I never overfill, its a design flaw IMHO and I intend to get new blades from the company.

That blade gets loose because it's supposed to have a white plastic bushing under the blade itself. Take a look at the other blade that came with the kit.
