  • Im showing how I fix my nutribullet when the top would jam and not work. The blade would not work so I used a little wd-40 to loosen it up. like us on.

What's up everybody? Rackboyz Fitness-- if you've seen the other video with my NutriBullet, about it jamming, a lot of people were having this issue. And I figured out how to fix it.
Now, What was happening was-- I put the original video on the screen, annotation. You can check it out. But what was happening was when you put your cup in, it wasn't pressing down. The motor wasn't spinning.
And that's because these little rivets on the side-- which when you press your cup down, it's what clicks into place and it starts the motor. What happened was they were jamming. And if you look closely, you can see that there's stuff in the inside, because what happens is sometimes, when the stuff leaks, it gets into the inside and it sticks and it jams.
And I didn't realize at the time what was going on. So other people have been having the same issue. I took a little bit of WD-40, sprayed it into each of the spots, let it sit for 10, 15 minutes, and it loosened right up.
I did this about a week ago. And it's still good, as you can see. I just started it with no problem. So it's just a matter of this stuff sticking. I just checked my RUclips. There's people saying that they used a solution of water and vinegar. And some people use oil. Just like I said, I used WD-40. You've got to just put something that's going to loosen up the crap that gets into the inside of it. And that's a really easy way to fix it.
Some people take it apart. I'm not trying to take this thing apart and go through all the hassle. I'm just going to make a better effort, which I have, moving forward of trying not to overfill my cup, making sure it doesn't spill and leak into here, and just try to be a little bit more safer with this thing. But get some WD-40 if you're having this problem and squirt it in there, just a little bit, and it should do the trick.
So I hope this helps. Until next time, stay focused, stay fit, people. Please hit the Like button to show you support if you feel like this video's been helpful-- Rackboyz Fitness.

Oh my goodness, the timing of me see in this video is unbelievable. Just this afternoon I had this same issue with my Nutribullet, I put it in a plastic bag and was about to throw it out when I decided my next purchase was going to be a NUTRIBULLET RX and decided to checking youtube to see what people were saying about Nutribullet rx when I somehow stumbled across this video. I used a little oil as suggested and it worked. Now I can hold off on buying the RX. Thanks a bunch.

Hey RBF - thanks for the videos, you turned me on to the Nutribullet & so far so good. Had an issue with my large cup leaking around the gasket. Felt around the cup top and found what felt like casting ridges (bumps that would catch a fingernail) on the sealing surface. Set the cup seal side down on some wetordry 400 grit sandpaper & moved it around, then onto 800 grit. Now smooth and no leaks, no need to tighten the heck out of it anymore...

Thanks, good video. I've had the Nutribullet for almost 2 years now. I got 2 of the new blade bases with the metal insert. Definitely get them before your warranty runs out. I called up the company and asked for 2 explaining that the first one failed within the first year. If you have rust, you have bad bearings. Get the replacements!
Another lesson learned to keep the bullet from leaking is to clean the silicone seal in the blade base. It gets crusty after awhile and compromises the seal. Kinda gross :)
And definitely do not overfill the bullet. It will leak every time and gum up the switches.
If the mechanism does get stuck, I unplug it, get some super hot water with a turkey baster and carefully run it down the white plastic push thingys on the side. Then set the motor base outside on a sunny day or in a warm dry place for a day before using it again. I like the idea of WD-40 and will add that to my process.
Nutribullet could take a lesson from Oster and old school blender manufacturers and have allowance for the base to leak and not gum up the mechanisms!

OK so I bought this used it about 10 days absolutely loved it. My brother passed away had to be away and now 3 weeks later I have tried and tried but it acts like it won't sit down into the grooves that move the blade. I have inspected it and cannot see a thing blocking it but really want it back!! Any ideas? Have tried both blades and on several different days because would get so frustrated.

This is just a quick workaround. I had the same issue and after a couple of months of the issue cominig back I opened the nutri bullet and I was shocked with the dirt on it.
I cleaned it and it is like new now.
Do it properly if you really want to have your nutri bullet back as new.
The nutribullet doesn't need any oil to work. What you are doing with that is like using heaps of parfum after you played a football match to go party.
You need to clean it inside

I had one of my plastic tabs on the big cup stuck underneath the plastic piece on the base. I sprayed the WD40 and waited and worked it, but finally used a small flathead screwdriver to press down on the plastic piece in the base. It was enough for me to get it out, but unfortunately the plastic tab from the cup broke off. Maybe I should have waited longer, but still am glad to have a working NutriBullet once again.

I tried pressing down the plastic stuff on the 3 sides but its still not spinning with my fruits. If I blend the fruits with a regular blender then put the extracter blade on, then it spins. why cant it blend my fruits but only spins with liquid

Sprayed some WD-40 and waited somewhat 10 minutes and pushed the 3 spring loaded tabs and it worked, and do it again everytime it does it, but mostly it happens when I fill it too much, avoid filling it too much.

Yay.... it worked!!!! Thank you SO MUCH Glad I had that wicked awesome WD-40 on hand. Of course they recommend you not to use the WD-40 just soap, water and a toothbrush... but bet that way would take forever... I will really clean those grooves out now of the WD-40 (of which I used verrryy little).. I'm very glad this tip helped though..

You may not have to use WD 40 -- I just took a chopstick and put it on that part where you sprayed the WD40. Gently tapped it with a hammer and the little white part moved. It works.

Have been using this Nutribullet for more than a year and it has been great but, today, I put the container into the machine, pressed down and turned, as usual. This time, nothing happened. I tried to remove the container and while it would turn, it would not come out. I looked at the tabs on the container and found that one of them was >>under

I had to break the tab off of the container to get the container out. The machine still works but I have no idea how the tab got under the starter switch! Anyway, this is a case where a hammer did the bob!

Thank you, thank you, thank you! I was about to throw mine out the window. I took a little canola oil on a QTip and let a drop or two sink down into the mechanism and this appears to work.
