I’ve seen The Days of the Week scenes before, but this is the first I recall seeing the bit about the NASA theater production and everything about it was perfect.
at 3:00 David Brinkley (Rick Moranis) is standing in front of the Princess of Wales Theatre in Toronto--just down the street from Roy Thomson Hall--as of 2021 that theatre is scheduled to be torn down to make room for a condo development
Actually it’s the Royal Alex Theatre. The Princess of Wales wasn’t built for another 10 years, and it would be a couple of blocks west of where this theatre is.
@@huntercallan1458 yea you're right--still love how David Brinkley (Rick Moranis) is trying to pick up the actress/model at 5:44 when Walter Cronkite (Dave Thomas) goes back to him LOL
When I originally saw this when it first aired, I was totally unaware of The Patty Duke Show, so the connection with Identical Bellhops and Cheese Hostesses was lost on me at that level. It was still funny.
Is this the first appearance of John Hemphill? I grew to like him in season 6 and was surprised he wasn't in anything earlier. (He was the biker Catherine sat on at the beginning of Days of the Week)
The best television comedy ever with some of the most talented actors.
And writers.
2024 now. sctv was the best.
Catherine O'Hara's impersonation of Katherine Hepburn is perfect.
I get the chills listening to the Days of the Week "theme" despite being a funny skit.
" get me tanked up and sure.. any guy can have me. ..but they have to tell me I'm pretty. I just dont give it up for anyone." 😂
NASA doing Live Theater. LMAO!
Who else is going to do a skit like this ? only sctv.
@@WindTurbineSyndromeTrue. They were actually a clever lot. Very intelligent writers/cast.
So funny, so rich on so many levels!

$800,000⁰⁰ now in 2024.
Was there ever anything funnier than Identical OPEC Oil Ministers? "But Habib has only seen the sights a guy can see from Abu Dhabi!"
Love it. Big fan.
I love Walter Conkrite and David Brinkley. Hilarious.
