Have you been robbed in Tenerife? Was your car broken? How do you avoid it?

Nope, but I also am careful about this.
The basics:
- Carry the minimum valuables possible with you.
- Have a small closed purse and carry it in the front, in big crowds hold it with your hand.
- In crowds/busy areas, don't carry your phone in your hand, keep it in your purse.
- Never leave the car in shady places or with anything inside (no backpack, clothes, bags, nothing). The car should be empty when you leave it parked. It's better to pay for parking than leave it in a shady place.
- Never leave your beach towel and stuff unattended on the beach. One of the group should be always at the towel, and you should switch places to go into the water.
