In just a few seconds the woman at Hermes pointed out bad corporate policy, illustrated the problem, explained why it was bad, called on the company to change it, positively acknowledged the companies that have made that chance while offering potential Hermes buyers a viable and easily accessible alternative. Without being aggressive or judgemental towards buyers that may be unaware of the problem. I am impressed. Put that woman in charge of something.
@@mapletree1023hate to be that guy, but the earliest crocodilian evolved around 95 million years ago so....I think their facts are pretty accurate don't you think?
You know what was honestly inspiring to me? I was once a middle school teacher. I used to keep pads for girls who needed them. I had a student who needed one. She didn't whisper when she asked. She didn't hide the fact that she needed one. I never saw a girl who gave fewer f*@$s. She boldly took it, stuck it in her back pocket and went on with her day. She had no shame about something she had no control over.
Respect to you for keeping those on ya, I know some teach’s (male 🙄) that wouldn’t be caught dead even buying them (all the female teachers have ‘em.) Whenever I’m given one (by anyone) I just take it outta their hand and hold it in my hand. I don’t put it in my pocket, I don’t hide it in my sleeve, I simply hold it while walking to the bathroom.
I went to an ALL GIRLS SCHOOL and we didn't even have kids like that. Mad respect. I was in high school 2006 - 2010. So much has changed since then, and this is one of the rare good changes, imo.
When my son was about 15 I got a call from him while I was at work so he could tell me he was going to walk to the store and then go to a female friend house(so I would know where he was) it was about to get dark out and I asked why when it was getting dark, his response made me so proud... he was going because his female friend needed pads and chocolate and was in pain but didn't have anyone who could drive to the store, so he wanted to help her out.i lived that he did not care what it was and was willing to just go get it and help in her time of need. I'm one proud momma😊
You raising a real one there, mama. My husband is the first man in my life to make periods "normal"... I was also raised in the south and the taboo was real. Good job, ma! 🎉
Good job kiddo (and momma too). My Godson is exactly like this. There's only 6 weeks between him and my daughter. They're 16 now and he's always been so supportive in THESE moments. Lots of other times too but when it comes to "lady problems", any young man that is strong and compassionate enough to just help get period products or not behave ridiculous and embarrassed about it- deserves a well done and a good job! Very proud of these young guys
I love going to buy period products without a bag. Walking out of the store make sure to look men in the eyes very serious. The fear in their eyes when they see my pack of pads gives me fleeting joy in a period of sadness. Pun intended 🤣 I refuse to be embarrassed
this man at walmart looked so disgusted and offended when i asked my friend “hey can we check out period panties while we’re here?” like which word hurt you sir? period, or panties? 😂
Not that related to your comment, but... My coworker's teenager son never had problems buying period product for his mom, never, even if he needed to carry them around without a bag. Really, no shame whatsoever, which I can only applaud. But he always refused to buy a toilet paper, to the point the slamming door would be involved and him not speaking to her for a day. So I asked her why. She told me he said: "Everybody knows that I'm not going to use those period products and that I'm buying them for somebody else, but for toilet paper, they will think it's for me." So, I was like 🤦♀and said: "But it is for both of you. And everybody uses it." She just shrugged and said: "Teenagers." Since we don't work together any more, I can't ask her if, as an adult, he still has the same problem with buying toilet paper.
There's nothing to be embarrassed about. We have periods, everyone knows that. My partner never had a problem with buying pads for me while going shopping alone. Once I didn't specify what kind I want so he bought few different types 😂 If you see guys behaving weirdly seeing pads, that says everything you need to know about them
I remember glass milk and soft drink bottles, that you returned to the Store or the Milkman. Paper Bags too. Now everything is Plastic and us old timers get blamed😂😂 We recycled before it was Cool. Most everything in my Kitchen is now Glass. Glass milk bottles ( Found on internet & Love them) Canning Jars for Canning and Storing Food. Only thing used with plastic is bags are used for Garbage and Gallon Purified Water, that the container, when empty, is used for Plants.
We have plastic bags here in Finland, but we learned a long time ago that you can use a plastic bag more than once. We also recycle. We also have cloth reusable bags, paper bags and reusable and plastic bags made from recycled plastic and the normal plastic bags. We also have biodegradable plastic bags, or biobags. They are environmentally friendly. So maybe you could learn something there about recycling. The fast food places do have paper bags, but you can recycle those too. By the way, we sort and recycle household waste too. Cardboard, paper, metals, glass, plastic, bio-waste and mixed waste. It's not difficult at all. Sure, the big pile of bags sometimes annoys me, but it's a small thing when you think how much good you can do just by sorting your waste.
I've never understood the taboo around periods, it happens. I live alone and sometimes end up with a girl at my house whether it's for a one night stand, or just a friend visiting. Every single one of those has noticed that I keep a small range of female sanitary products in my bathroom, and ask if there is a woman living here. The look on their faces when I say that I bought them, in case any woman who visits might need them is priceless. Just a notice to any bachelor's out there, if you are inviting ladies back to your house, a little thought to their needs can go a long way.
I got my period while at work and my job only had tampons and I had never used one so what did I do I got my phone out and rang up one of my guy friends (FtM trans) and he walked me through how to put one in while he was on speaker so If anyone walked in they would've heard a grown ass man explaining how to put a tampon in properly
I'm almost 50 years old, and you're the first guy I've ever known to do that. It's very kind and thoughtful of you. Not to say you're the only one. Just the only one I've known of. Kudos! 👏🏻
have a male friend who does it too. he even asked me questions about pads one time. it is bizarre even for us girls when we only start the period journey and dont have family who uses it
I knew for certain my sister married a good one when he called my niece (his stepdaughter) from the period aisle and loudly started reading what was available in each section of products, just to make sure he got her the right sht. He’s asking if she wants wings, does she need supers, which brand, just completely comfortable buying a teenage girl period sht.
Quite jealous of that. That is a confident and reassuring man. It would make me feel less embarrassed because he isnt making a big deal about it and just knows it's a part of life. Yall got lucky!!!
@@h.s.6269 ikr. He thinks the sun rises and sets on my big sister. He basically became dad for her 1st daughter and when I once told him my sister was lucky to have a husband that adored her so much (both me and my sister had deadbeat dads) he told me that actually he was the lucky one. He’s an awesome guy. I’m a single mom and my kid’s dad tries but has issues, my brother in law has stepped up to be a fatherly role model for my kid. He comes over and fixes sht at my house for us & is basically more family to me then actual family. I’m someone who hasn’t had a lot of faith in men or fathers, and dude helped restore faith that there are decent men and fathers out there.
@@Comrade_mommy I'm glad he stepped up to help out in such a way. Kids really need male role models very active in their lives. If the father won't, hopefully a grandpa or uncle (like your situation) steps in. Men are capable of amazing things like this, they just often forget it with society expecting so little of them. As a society we need to demand better imo. It's like how we also have the situation where most black kids' only dreams are to be a rapper or in the NBA/NFL. No one encourages them while they are young that they can be a doctor, cancer scientist, engineer, electrician, etc. And no one makes it sound cool to be one of those, adults only ever talk about rappers, money, gangs, and sports, so the kids idolize those goals. We need to raise the bar higher, over time they would aim higher. But for decades we've been lowering the bar instead. Not meaning this in any ill intent on them, I genuinely want the community to thrive instead of self destruct.
Story time: So back when I worked at Starbucks we would constantly have people order the wrong thing, because of multiple reasons but my number one theory is that people are dumb. That’s fine, nothing wrong with that, I’ve been dumb before too. But like I can’t call someone an idiot for ordering the wrong thing, because then I would get fired. However this one time my coworker and I were barring together and he handed her the iced coffee she ordered. This is the exchange that follows: Her: This isn’t what I wanted. Him: Okay, then what did you want? Her: A vanilla bean frappe. Him: Okay. Her friend: Then why did you order that? My coworkers and I: *trying our hardest to remain silent* Once they left we burst out laughing. We couldn’t say it, but I’m sure glad her friend did.
I worked at Starbucks during the morning shifts and this would happen all the time! It was worse when they were on the phone 🙄 and they act like it’s your fault
@@yelisserobles5371 I only do mobile orders just to avoid confusion or miscommunication between me and the barista, and so far it has happened twice that the barista had hand me a wrong drink. Now I just drive extra few minutes and get my drink at coffee Bean, sometimes at Peet's.
The Hermes one really bothered me because I am so horrified at animal abuse. I applaud this young woman for having the compassion for these animals and the guts to try to make a difference. Bravo!
I never understood being embarrassed about buying period products. Even as a teen it never bothered me. My friends would send me to go down the aisle and get what they wanted and pay for it. Still remember one male cashier who started snickering when he saw the boxes. My mom just died at my comment to him… “I’m a grown woman, if you haven’t realized that women need these then I think you need to go back to sex ed.” I bought from him many times and he never behaved like that again. So hopefully it helped him get over his nerves. I also can’t tell you how many times I’ve been stopped and asked what’s best to get by a perplexed male who just been told to “pick up pads”. I think they see that I have no qualms being in that aisle and can be approached. It’s kinda fun to help them.
Every time I've had a male partner/friend feel awkward about picking me up pads, when for some reason I need _them_ to do it, I always just say, off-handedly, "Dean Winchester wouldn't be embarrassed." Bc you know it's true; you can just see the guy getting rung up at a gas station, & handing a box of tampons thru w.o. blinking, between the beer & the car-snacks. And since most guys who are uncomfy with it are hung up on weird gender-essentialism issues, & Dean is arguably one of the stereotypically masculine figures in modern pop-culture, it usually works pretty well.
Because some people get harassed when buying them It’s also nobody’s damn business I’m glad you feel comfortable with buying period products Some people get bulged by their own family members for having periods They get shamed for having them
My sperm donor used to try to shame me for having a period... So of course I kept the package if pads out on the counter for all to see. I would have been embarrassed, but my pathological demand avoidance and me living on spite alone said "Nah. Screw that. Make his uncomfortable. Make him sit with his man baby feefees and get told to grow up by both me and Ma. This is as natural as peeing. Screw him. Suffer you useless child in a grown man's body."
The blonde thing kills me. I have (as told by several hair colourists) Level 6/7 ash blonde hair, Yet 3 women with level 1-3 roots with fried platinum hair have laughed when I call myself blonde and said essentially "You're not blonde honey, you just wish you were." Like no, honey, that's literally your actual problem, don't be over here projecting your problems on me.
Lucky! And if you did decide to go a lighter blonde it would probably be really easy and wouldn't fry your hair. My pfp is old I am no longer blonde because of frying my hair. I think I'm a level 5. Still pretty dark and I don't have strong hair so yeah back to brunette for me. 😢I liked being blonde but the upkeep and damage was ridiculous.
I’m a hairstylist. I’m actually a level 8 strawberry blonde naturally with about 50% of that turning gray now. Total ginger as a kid and I hated it. My natural was just a little lighter than Charlotte’s actually as a kid. I wish my natural was what I had as a kid now. I always wanted to be a natural brunette. Even as a hairstylist I don’t understand the obsession with dark brunettes wanting to be platinum. Embrace that gorgeous chocolate y’all! It’s so much maintenance and damage to the hair.
@@leerinbigham7565 I wish I could. Lol 😂 If I didn't have so many grays I would probably leave my hair alone. I'm not going blonde again any time soon but I do plan to go Burgundy soon. Only semi- permanent color though. I'm hoping when it fades out it will just leave my hair with some warmer tones to it and look pretty. Depending on how much I like that I'll decide where to go from there.

I stopped being "embarrased" buying pads, asking for pads and asking whether i have a stain on what im wearing. Its natural, most women go thru it, we cant stop it. It shouldnt be treated as taboo because it will just produce people who dont know anything about it like the one on the vid, or like the guy who was so confident that pads sticks to your vag instead of your undies

@@draconicfeline6177 it’s a fuckin tampon. Chill. If you feel attacked because a trans woman bought some tampons and is “playing” with one then you need to do some soul searching and figure out why you feel so triggered.
RE: Your period story. A guy friend was in the lineup at the drugstore and saw a female friend of his. He saw that she had her tax form packet in her hand. He said "oh I see it's that time again" She blushed. It was then he realized she had tampons in her other hand.
Recently I had that conversation with my family when they were telling me that I had distanced myself from them from adolescens until a few years back (I am 40). "Why would I come when you barated me for everything all the time?" There was silence, nods and not much more. "Now we are cool, now we respect each other, we love each other and not out of obligation, now we're good" It was a good convo. It brought my relationship with tose relatives to a new, healthier, more loving level. Of course, it took 20 years, but let's hope it takes less for everyone else.
Im a guy just to clarify. Just the other week I was getting fairly large boxes of pads for both my sisters and mother. a lot of there circles over lap and I think it's just easier to buy at least a couple months worth of pads that way thier not worrying about it plus it's cheaper in the long run . Now the store I got them from is a small corner store that was just a block away they didn't have any bags left so I just walked home with them in public and I got mad stares from old men and women . They looked (especially the men ) so offended that I a gay man was buying tampons for my family ...like bro mind you're fucking business.
I have to say, the relationship between the guy at 8:19 and the little kid is obviously a very trusting one and its lovely to see. The kid showed no discomfort when being confronted which just shows he trusts this person implicitly. I loved the little agreeing "k!" at the end, such a cutie 💜
I worked at a place for ten years. At a certain time there were a lot of people who were buying and selling, ahem, mind altering substances. One day I realized I didn’t have tampons in my bag so I asked my friend for one and as she handed it to me, my male supervisor walked by and then stopped and said “what’s that?” I held it above my head and loudly said “a tampon”! He shifted his eyes and quietly shuffled away. I guess he thought it was a drug deal lol.

@16poetisa that may be true. I didn't say invasive. There are different television shows one is literally named Swamp People. They show you where you're supposed to shoot them so you can get the most out of their skin they show you how you're supposed to bake them and catch them so that way you can kill them. It's a bunch of Backwoods people living in the swamp killing alligators
I always laugh at the awkwardness of periods with men. My dad would always go “I don’t want to know, just tell me what you need” and then when I cashiered, one moment sticks out of a guy buying just a box of tampons, and as I rang it up, the only words were “these aren’t for me.” In a nervous voice. Like you sweet summer child, I didn’t think they were but I wouldn’t judge if they were! Light tampons are great for gushing nosebleeds!
My brother was never bothered about buying them for me or my mom. I remember someone said how good he was and he was just like "Who cares, it not exactly like theyre for me anyway."
Periods have never bothered me. I live alone and always make sure that I keep a small range of feminine sanitary products in my bathroom, just in case I have any female guests who might need them.
Everyone wondering how the girl with the nails could walk around like that while I'm wondering: How did she clean anything, including herself, with those nails?
I get my nails done regularly every 3 weeks, and if I go any longer than that, they start to break off. I’m just impressed she was able to keep them on that long 😂 but for the record, we do everything normally just like everyone else. Only thing that’s a struggle is putting on necklaces, those stupid tiny clasps 😩
I wondered the same thing because they remaining 4 were hanging on by a thread (it looked like it would hurt if they bent back because it would be her nail, not the gel nail, that would bend and break 😕 how did she do anything - wash dishes, laundry, clean, text, type ...literally anything? Props to her for sticking to her guns I guess, I would have given up way sooner!
i recently saw a post on fb about someone gatekeeping sign language....no joke. my friend is not deaf, but her mother was. therefore sign language is part of her every day life. after her mom passed away, she started giving small sign language classes online and posts on tiktok signing everything as she talks. the way this person came after my friend because she's not deaf and using sign language......and my friend has adapted sign language to HER speech, which means not every sign is accurate.....people still understand her. it was just insane. ASL is "american" sign language, it adapts to how people speak just like we have our own ways of speaking with accents and whatnot. every language has it's OWN sign language and there are "universal signs" that encompass every language. people need to stop gatekeeping.
I just want to say that as someone who tried to wear a pom pom on my fingernail it is literally the most high maintenance/ exxxxtra/ anxiety inducing nail accessory. I lost and found it 3 times within 20 minutes of leaving my nail appointment and one last final time when I got home, never to be found again. (For those wondering: It was affixed by a tiny magnet, one on the pom and one glued to my nail for easy removal to wash hands.)
The first video just makes me so grateful for my family, usually we make family Thanksgiving & Christmas a pajama party but everyone who wants to dress up does & whoever doesn't doesn't & "dressing up" usually means a sparkly shirt or nice sweater with our yoga pants or leggings.
Pharmacies here (Ireland) have always had paper bags as long as I can remember... so the restrictions on plastic bags didn't compromise our privacy. But my Dad, who used to routinely leave used condoms in the bathroom when I was a kid, had my mother haul me aside to tell me how disgusting I was at 13 because I left a used sanitary pad (wrapped up) in the bathroom ONCE... so maybe we need to walk down the street with our tampons and pads... normalise them or something.
It makes sense to forget a pad in the process of changing if you’re distracted, but what’s the excuse for leaving used condoms in the bathroom? Happy they didn’t manage to make you feel ashamed of a normal bodily function
This infuriates me so much. When I was a kid my friend's dad left pron on even though we were in the room, it would just be blasted in the living room. That friend ended up losing her virginity when she was twelve to of course an older boy and bragged about it as some kind of accomplishment even though she admitted that it was super painful. Fathers need to do better 😡
I've cooked for others for 43 years. If anyone is kind enough to cook for me, I am beyond thankful. Sloppy Joes, beef Wellington, dry as the desert chicken, I don't care. If I didn't have to make it, I love it. Thank you kind person for nourishing me.
I think calling out someone's religion passive-agressively is also 'not letting them be themselves'... But, we don't know the history, maybe the family is pushing it on her too... 🤔
So the sister was apparently more bothered that her clothing was casual wear as as opposed to the fact that it had a pretty obvious blasphemous message/imagery on it lol. We dress up for Holiday dinners because we're Latinos and like to dress up just to sit around the living room lol, but we'd never make someone feel uncomfortable for wearing something casual.
I hated dressing up for holiday dinners. I'm one of those people that the messier the food is, the more likely I'll end up wearing it. I don't try to spill on myself, it just happens. And I'd get yelled at enough for it happening on regular clothes. Multiply that several times on dressy clothes. Once I moved out of my parent's house, I said screw it and wore casual clothes after that. And what could they do, I didn't live under their roof any more, they couldn't dictate what I wore.
I doubt it was because it was a sweatshirt. It was definitely the message, she just wouldn't admit it, which is disingenuous. However, there's a time and place to be edgy, and Thanksgiving with the family ain't it. This chick with the sweatshirt is acting like a pizza cutter: all edge, no point! Back in the 80s, I had a college art class where the assignment was to create a 3-D mixed media piece. I made a sculpture of a very jolly Santa Claus nailed to a cross that had logos of every major toy company and designer clothing brand I could think of. The teacher hated it, not because it wasn't well crafted, but because it offended her religion. "Art should comfort the disturbed and disturb the comfortable." ~Cesar A. Cruz (unless your art teacher is evangelical) She missed my point, that as a person who finds meaning in the Gospels that promote love, charity and kindness, I don't see how commercialism and corporate greed promote those principles.
@@LazyIRanch I agree in thinking she (girl being filmed) was being disingenuous. Thought I think the other chic's point was possibly to irritate her family (she may just really not like God and wanted to pick that specific Holiday to be a troll). Who knows. It may not have been the sister's intention (one being filmed), but her approach did come off pretentious and somewhat judgmental. As a Christian myself, when you do speak to someone in regard to their different beliefs, I think it should come from a HUMBLE approach and place of love if you truthfully care for that person (as we're called to by Christ). Now I don't know the chic's family background, so I'm unsure of who how the actual homeowners (possibly their parents) personally feel about the message on her shirt. We've had people who weren't Christian accompany us to dinner at our house, and they simply respect the fact that it's a Catholic household and we don't allow any sort of blasphemous or demonic imagery (things of the like) in the house. We don't push our beliefs on anybody, nor do I shy away from the topic if it's relevant and the conversation stays respectful on both sides. Needless to day... Holidays and family drama seem to go hand in hand unfortunately.

I see both sides to the story on the young lady with inappropriate dress for Thanksgiving. Number one I’m just glad that she’s there participating with her family that’s on one side, on the other side, she obviously has never cooked a meal and a lot of hard work goes into it so a little bit of respect is appreciated
Don’t be ashamed of having your period! It is a ducking horror, but instead of hiding it and contributing to the stigma - just embrace that it is a hell you’re going through and help normalize the realistic woman who complains! Thank you so much for this information! This is the retrospective people often lack when they judge some solutions without realizing what was their original purpose.
Well.. no, that's only sort of true. Right now the ideal that we're pushing isn't paper bags either. It's CLOTH bags, which can be reused for eternity. Paper bags, while some may be able to last for a couple uses, are still a disposable item. Better than plastic, yes, but they're not what we're going for now.
@@ankhels I like this trend. Fabric bags were used in USSR until its collapse 1991. Plastic bags were a fashion item. Cool people had one or two plastic bags, used them to show off, carefully stored them in between uses, even washed them sometimes. Until this day many Russians store and reuse all plastic and paper bags. A "bag with bags" is a well-known feature in their houses.

@@7thlittleleopard7 horror of horrors the girl who sat behind me in home room had friends of her brother tracking her period and would remind her loudly when she was due to bleed. She learned NOT to use the calendar in the kitchen to plant her red X.
The girl who wore the "offensive" sweatshirt knew she would get a reaction. That's why she wore it. I like the sweatshirt, I agree with the sweatshirt, but I wouldn't wear it to a family gathering and expect that no one will say anything. She also had her phone recording because she expected, even hoped for, the reaction so she could label her family toxic and post it online. Really it seemed more like a family member was quietly trying to tell her that her shirt might offend people, and purposely offending people isn't appropriate for a family gathering. It's about showing respect to others. I'm an atheist who wouldn't go out of my way to start that conversation with grandpa at Thanksgiving dinner. Out of respect for the occasion.
Exactly. I even said myself that she did it on purpose to be offensive and to garner attention; even if it was negative attention. I as someone who hosts the family events if I were her family, would simply not invite her to anymore family events. They might get slack for it, but her family aren't the negative ones. She is and she just by watching her mannerisms, is not a very happy person. She needs attention and is doing these things to feed her narcissism. I'm spiritual, so while I'm not religious I do believe there is something after death as I've seen what is after death because I died twice. I was Atheist before that. I saw what was at the end of life and it's not nothing - at least what I saw and experienced. However, the religion that drives the belief has been corrupted for a long, long time. I don't think it was appropriate for her to wear a shirt and while she can, it's not her family coming off in a bad light; it's her. She wanted the attention to spin a story as you said, she recorded the interaction and her sister or whoever; played right into it. Shame she couldn't put aside differences for one day to spent with family. If she doesn't care, then she shouldn't of gone. Just my opinion.
Here in Australia pharmacies have always had paper bags, but even when plastic bags were banned other stores have paper bags or reusable bags available (some charge for the bags, others don't). How did they not think to replace the plastic bags with an alternative?
In UK they started with charging us for plastic bags, as a first step towards the full ban (though technically it was only supposed to be retailers over a certain size and sq footage). The greedy bastards decided this meant they could charge us for the *paper bags* they were supposed to be encouraging us to use as well though. What really annoyed me was the stores that had previously given them to you for free jumping on the bandwagon.
@@HulaHula667 Yeah that's happened in NZ too... though I think the idea behind charging for paper bags is that it's supposed to encourage you to bring your own reusable bag, as paper bags are still bad for the environment in their own way. Sucks when you forget to pack a reusable one, or have an unplanned requirement. I keep a bunch of them in my car, lightweight folded ones in my purse etc.
@KT I have shit in my car. I had to quickly run into Walmart on my way home from work and had no bags... I didn't want to cart everything inside in -20° so it's still in my car from last night, I just keep on grabbing things from the trunk and bringing them in when I need to run out somewhere 😅 it's freaking freezing in Canada right now 🥶
My mom and I have a little joke we make when either of us burns food. We refer to it as "Cajun style" and try to eat around the burnt parts as much as possible. And the parts we can't eat still don't go to waste because my dogs aren't very picky. Lol
As a woman in menopause, I certainly haven't forgotten the wonders of menstruating. Maybe if we all started carrying them openly in public, there would be a change in perspective. And the cost! Like it's a choice to purchase feminine hygiene products? Pfft! I'm sure we would all rather isolate and stay in our pj's and eat everything for at least 4 days every month. Bagless is, a quiet 'demonstration for menstruation'.
That’s my thing, I don’t shove my religion down peoples throat, that being said don’t be disrespectful about my religion. I don’t care what you believe in, don’t disrespect me and I won’t disrespect you.

Amazing how they make you feel like Brent Spiner...and I've sat a few good saddles. So glad to see the pro alligator lady. Had no idea, but was not surprised, as all elite companies like this have nasty secrets. Cheers.
I don’t like using animal skin either-but I find it funny that the same people complaining about this have no problem wearing/using leather or having fur trim on stuff.

I love that you speak so loudly about your period. I freaking love it. Did you hear about Mikaela Shiffrin talking about it in an interview with some Austrian tv guys and they didn't get it and translated it to smth completely wrong! We laughed our asses off. She said she's a bit tired during her monthly cycle and he translated that she's tired bc of her bycicle training 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Here in Spain the pharmacy uses paper bags and will quite often wrap up sensitive items in paper for discretion. They also give you a present at Christmas 🙂
WHAT? No seriously go to my pharmacy every 2 weeks.. or less (chronic health problems at 36 years old, yay). I got my Pharmacist, who works at a mom and pop shop, a Christmas gift these past few years because he goes above and beyond for me and I’m so grateful. But wrapping up sensitive items and giving you a gift? I’m about to move to Spain. I’ve always wanted to learn the language and experience the culture.
Our pharmacies around here put Rx meds in small white paper bags, and I hope they never stop doing that! I have a little Senegal parrot who LOVES those bags, his favorite toy. I'll put a peanut or almond in the shell inside the bag and he makes a big show of attacking and shredding the bag to find his prize. Spain sounds like a lovely place. I follow a channel on RUclips of a chef in Spain who teaches easy but authentic Spanish cuisine, "Spain on a Fork". I've learned some good techniques from him, and he's adorable too!
@@susanmichelle3292 it's ace, lovely country 💜 This year I got a full size hand cream and shower gels from the pharmacy in one village and two bottles of hand wash from the other. It's a nice touch ☺️☺️ I have chronic health problems too, sending you a virtual hug 🤗

Charlotte you can never be replaced. Happy that you have your own channel but just saying that I miss you at the other one and the way you presented the content. That being said YOU ARE A GEM.
My ex tried this pathetic maneuver to contact me, except his question was about creating a playlist on Spotify. Why do some people think acting helpless is endearing?
My best friend is Native, and we both have a VERY twisted sense of humor, so Thanksgiving has become the day where we make up different names for the day that more accurately describe the original event. Our current favorite is "National 'this is why you don't feed strays' day"
Years ago there was a Canadian show on the Nickelodeon network called, “You Can’t Do That On Television”. I remember one joke that went: Did you know that the “Indians” introduced Europeans to turkeys and tobacco - and the turkeys have been smokin’ the tobacco ever since!
Charlotte Dobre, you said in a video that you became aware that you talk out of one side of your mouth more than the other. I do, too!!! I used to feel so self-conscious about it! I think it's adorable on you and have since mentioned to my bestie. She told me it was one of her favorite things but that it's never captured in pictures! I absolutely melted!!! You are beautiful inside and out, lady!!!
She was wrong about A LOT of things! When will activists learn to stop bullshitting. I mean people are eating it up coz like "killing animals is bad" (when it suits them... I'm sure every one of them is Vegi/Vegan 🙄) But if people actually spend a min to check these so called "facts" it makes anything legitimate anyone says about animal conservation have less weight. 😖
I was leakin 😂😂😂my friends say this too Charlotte, “ I can embarrass myself if I want to” … ITS NOT EMBARRASSING IT HAPPENS TO ALL OF US LITERALLY! story:when I was teaching middle school, this girl unfortunately got up at the end of class and had just gotten her period…and it got on the seat. Before she even noticed a young boy who had older sisters sprung up to tell me and he ran to get paper towels and helped (I did it but) me clean it bc he didn’t want her to be embarrassed. ❤ her friend pulled her aside and she waited in my classroom while her mom came with a change of clothes. No reason girls should be embarrassed. It’s life.
This reminded me of just one of the reasons that I love my dad! I am so grateful for his attitude towards all things relating to menstruation! When I was young, I would have been embarrassed by feminine hygiene products or people knowing that I was on my period, but now I dgaf. That is probably all thanks to my dad not being embarrassed by it. I could easily ask him to pick me up some products and he wouldn't hesitate, he'd even ask workers for help if he wasn't sure what I was asking for/needed or he couldn't find it (I eventually learned to just find a pic online and text it to him.) Really, that is how we should all be, it is completely not something to be embarrassed about AT ALL.
“Here’s the thing Grant” I’m dying 😂 Edit $12????! Omg! It’s like £2 for a box of Tampax here! Sometimes even less! She has a valid point though, if I were to add up what I’ve spent on womens sanitary products over the years my blood would likely boil, and no, none of it is fun ‘Grant’! “Period paraphernalia”! 😂😂😂 They can’t even give you a paper bag? What is the world coming to?!
I'd be pissed off too if I had let myself get ripped off like that. Where did she go to buy them, Prada? I've never seen tampons selling for more than $5 for the big box that lasts you two months.
Honestly the first girl seemed like she wore that shirt just to piss her family off on Thanksgiving. Didn’t look like she was hosting it so it seemed pretty rude to me 🤷🏻♀️
People can wear what they want, but there are consequences for every decision we make both good and bad. I do have a feeling if this was literally any other religion being called bs and lies, everyone wouldn’t be applauding this person but commenting on how insensitive she’s being. Imagine this scenario in a Muslim or Jewish home. It’s just disrespectful. Save yourself the trouble and have a friendsgiving instead.
honestly either way it's such an overreaction. I was raised Christian and I can't think of any of my family except the horrible ones that would have an actual problem with some stupid shirt.
@@titaniafae4114 I think it’s okay for them to say a small something about how they feel hurt by what she chose to wear that’s disrespecting their religion, but it’s her right to wear whatever she wants. However, to go so far as to lecture her forever about it is unnecessary, I agree.
@@今天星期三我朋友 I can agree it can be inappriopriate, but as someone with a very religious grandma, she'd probs just complain then get over it lmao. I just think it was so extra to continue talking, just say maybe wear something else and move on lmao.
If someone wore something like that to insult my beliefs of the beliefs of my other guests she would find herself going out the door. If you bring strife to my house you are not welcome.
Plastic bags were banned in NZ ages ago and most shops have alternatives (usually paper), but also heaps of places have reusable bags for sale within the store. My favourite are the ones that scrunch up into little bags! That way I can just chuck a couple in my handbag.
I saw a lady wearing pants that had f you in tiny letters as the print on her pants to Christmas. She was embarrassed but her grandkids thought she rocked.😂
Thanksgiving is that time of the year when family and friends come together to celebrate everything we are thankful for in our lives. It is an opportunity to step back from the craziness of everyday life, take a breath, and reflect on what is truly important to you and your family.
In Belgium we banned plastic bags years ago. Even before it was an official rule, a lot of stores didn’t hand them out anymore. It’s mind blowing that Canada just banned it now. I thought you guys did that years ago as well as part of environmental change goals for plastic use 😅
Honestly, it's been forever where I live in Canada. I think she is from Toronto, so maybe she lives somewhere on the outskirts. Also it wasn't JUST Justin Trudeau it was like a nation wide movement to help preserve the earth. She is the first person from Canada (and I am from Alberta if you know you know) I have EVER heard gripe about it.
Yeah it's been a thing in New Zealand for years. Bring your reusables or stash it in your purse. You can get little fold up bags that can fit in your purse or have clips to attach to your key chain or whatever. Most places have the option of a paper bag but that's not usually needed. I can't imagine leaving the house without a bag big enough for a box of tampons but maybe that's just me.
Not gonna lie, that girl with the "bullsh*t" shirt on Thanksgiving was looking for attention. She wore it because she knew it would offend people. There's so many other things she could wear without getting people upset.
and I think the person talking to her was just more upset that it was a sweatshirt than what was written on it. Makes me think they normally dress up for the occasion. I wouldn't lecture her, though, because she clearly doesn't care.
@user-df7dc1gt5m There is a big difference between "the right to question religion" and deliberately insulting someone's faith. What if you went to a family gathering of Muslims or Jews and had a shirt that claimed the Qur'an or Torah was "lies/bullsh*t"? Would that be OK? This is a deliberate insult of someone's religion. I have questioned my religion for years now, but would never dream of going to anyone's home and wearing a shirt designed to offend their religious beliefs. That was an immature and sh*tty thing to do any day of the week.
I’m not a Christian, but most of my family and many of my coworkers are, and regardless of how I feel about that particular religion, I would NEVER disrespect someone’s faith in THEIR home by wearing something that offensive. I also would never wear anything, jewelry included, that had a cross or crucifix on it, bc I don’t like it when ppl wear symbols of my faith when they don’t understand them or respect the meaning, so why would I do that to someone else’s?
You have no idea what the story is behind why that woman is wearing the shirt to a gathering or the obvious attitude on display. Don't act like you're taking moral high ground when the people she's clearly antagonizing could be absolutely deserving of having their actual bullshit called out.
@@Miss_Camel as someone who wishes she had the actual balls to do something like that against my own toxic as fuck family? yeah. that's my actual argument
We banned plastic bags here in New Zealand a while ago, and I think it’s great 🤷♀️ also, Char, there’s nothing shameful about having a period, there’s no need to hide a tampon box x Love your videos 🙏
Hi de go fellow kiwi 👋 I was about to post the same thing! I don't mind paying for paper if I forget/don't have my reusable bags. I dont think the girl asking her sister to dress for thanksgiving dinner is out of line. They obviously had a tradition of dressing for thanksgiving. My family wears comfortable clothes. On the other hand, my mother in law puts on a beautiful spread and everyone dresses up. I appreciate all her effort and expense and I’m more than happy to wear a dress. This is just selfish behavior to make herself the center of attention. It’s sad that there are people who could care less about anyone but themselves.
12:36 Can we all make a pact, as females, to no longer be ashamed of having periods? Thousands of years ago, some man declared our monthly bleed to be “unclean” and “icky” and we have been living with the consequences of that ever since. Let’s take back our periods, ladies!

In just a few seconds the woman at Hermes pointed out bad corporate policy, illustrated the problem, explained why it was bad, called on the company to change it, positively acknowledged the companies that have made that chance while offering potential Hermes buyers a viable and easily accessible alternative.
That’s right. Fear the bleeding one, smoll man folk. Buwahahaha!!!
this man at walmart looked so disgusted and offended when i asked my friend “hey can we check out period panties while we’re here?” like which word hurt you sir? period, or panties?

Him: Okay, then what did you want?
Her: A vanilla bean frappe.
Him: Okay.

I never understood being embarrassed about buying period products. Even as a teen it never bothered me. My friends would send me to go down the aisle and get what they wanted and pay for it. Still remember one male cashier who started snickering when he saw the boxes. My mom just died at my comment to him…
“I’m a grown woman, if you haven’t realized that women need these then I think you need to go back to sex ed.”
I bought from him many times and he never behaved like that again.

@@mysterylovescompany2657 Dude, yes! I love Dean and he absolutely would!
Same, I feel like a baddie. It's part of life and anyone that gives you grief can suck it.
❤❤❤❤❤
@@leerinbigham7565 Born a dark chocolate brunette and loved it. Closest thing I ever got to blonde was some caramel highlights when the gray first arrived. Quit coloring years ago, rocking my salt & pepper until I work up to full silver fox.

RE: Your period story. A guy friend was in the lineup at the drugstore and saw a female friend of his. He saw that she had her tax form packet in her hand. He said "oh I see it's that time again" She blushed. It was then he realized she had tampons in her other hand.

OOPS! 😳😂😂😂
oh! poor girl... and guy actually, I bet he was embarrassed
I had to learn to not be embarrassed when buying tampons and the like. It's human biology, and there's absolutely nothing wrong with it.
Truth!
Snap. Heck, I even got discreet pads for my neighbor the other day.
As someone who has worked in retail, no one cares that anyone is buying tampons - young, old, male, female, literally anyone - no one cares.
the embarrassment is that we have to BUY them. ✌️

@Hellybaby G lucky you, but i had fun running with pad (not even unwraped) after my bro
Periods have never bothered me. I live alone and always make sure that I keep a small range of feminine sanitary products in my bathroom, just in case I have any female guests who might need them.

Everyone wondering how the girl with the nails could walk around like that while I'm wondering: How did she clean anything, including herself, with those nails?

i recently saw a post on fb about someone gatekeeping sign language....no joke. my friend is not deaf, but her mother was. therefore sign language is part of her every day life. after her mom passed away, she started giving small sign language classes online and posts on tiktok signing everything as she talks. the way this person came after my friend because she's not deaf and using sign language......and my friend has adapted sign language to HER speech, which means not every sign is accurate.....people still understand her. it was just insane. ASL is "american" sign language, it adapts to how people speak just like we have our own ways of speaking with accents and whatnot. every language has it's OWN sign language and there are "universal signs" that encompass every language. people need to stop gatekeeping.
Some people That has nothing better todo.
This gatekeeping is why I stopped learning ASL. I got tired of the infighting.
Happy they didn’t manage to make you feel ashamed of a normal bodily function
man… i’m sorry you had to go through that. some parents don’t realize that some things they say to their kids really stick with them and hurt them
This infuriates me so much. When I was a kid my friend's dad left pron on even though we were in the room, it would just be blasted in the living room. That friend ended up losing her virginity when she was twelve to of course an older boy and bragged about it as some kind of accomplishment even though she admitted that it was super painful.

Riiiight. Trying to pick a fight with your family is a perfectly reasonable behavior. The irony is she’s exactly like her family!

She missed my point, that as a person who finds meaning in the Gospels that promote love, charity and kindness, I don't see how commercialism and corporate greed promote those principles.

And how do you know she didn’t cook?
Ah yes. Cooking a meal and then forcing others to come to it and then berating them for what they wear. The quintessential thanksgiving experience.

Unfortunately it's kind of up to the stores to decide. Most in Canada offer re-useable bags for sale though.
The blonde wasn't even blonde she had dark ass roots LMFAOO ppl used to hate on my hair cuz they thought I was dying it but I was born with blonde and red highlights due to my grandpa being a platinum blonde(my aunt got his hair and her daughter-first cousin-, and her daughter too-my second cousin-) and great-grandpa being a full red head(no red headed kids). When NY banned plastic bags they ALL had paper bags the same day they ended the plastic ones.
I used to dream about owning a Hermes bag. No more, that young lady was relaying facts, truly disturbing. Thanks for sharing.
Get an old Hermes saddle. Worth it. More useful than a new bag. I inherited my coaches old neglected Hermes dressage saddle. It's still wow. Picked up a used good condition forward seat for @$400. Amazing how they make you feel like Brent Spiner...and I've sat a few good saddles. So glad to see the pro alligator lady. Had no idea, but was not surprised, as all elite companies like this have nasty secrets. Cheers.
Gonna call out the crocodile one. There are more in their native habitats than in cages.
If you’ve ever been to a croc farm, you may change your mind. They are dumb prehistoric beasts that climb over each other and would like to kill you.
@Edfundo72 ! I come from Australia. We have both salt and dresh water crocs. They taste good.
I don’t like using animal skin either-but I find it funny that the same people complaining about this have no problem wearing/using leather or having fur trim on stuff.
I literally laughed so hard I stopped breathing for like 5 seconds at the dad and his son with the gel in his hair x'D I cannot i simply perish
2023 is the year of Charlotte...i hope she gets 2M subscribers this year. She deserves a lot of success and recognition. I appreciate her Channel so much. ♥️
I am so glad I have never heard of “Aritzia” until today.
9:47 yup. “What 5% does” is referring to the tint of the car. The lower the number, the stronger the tint, so 5% is basically like one way glass lol. That’s why she had to get so close to see them😂😂.
Thanks for the explanation, I was clueless about that part of the video, not having anything to do with tinted windows.
@@2cutepups767 no problem
I love that you speak so loudly about your period. I freaking love it. Did you hear about Mikaela Shiffrin talking about it in an interview with some Austrian tv guys and they didn't get it and translated it to smth completely wrong! We laughed our asses off. She said she's a bit tired during her monthly cycle and he translated that she's tired bc of her bycicle training 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I think I'm gonna make myself a shirt that says lies lies bullshit lies with a star of David behind it. Watch me get canceled by everyone!! 😂
Get ready lol
Wait wait wait ¿A qué farmacia vas? Jamás me han dado un regalo por navidad pero suena genial 😍
@@susanmichelle3292 it's ace, lovely country 💜
This year I got a full size hand cream and shower gels from the pharmacy in one village and two bottles of hand wash from the other. It's a nice touch ☺️☺️
I have chronic health problems too, sending you a virtual hug 🤗
@@mariaald todos las farmacias aquí en Cantabria los hacen. Utilizo tres farmacias en los pueblos de mi barrio y todos me han dado algo 💜 ( disculpas mi español, estoy aprendiendo)
Charlotte, this semester is kicking my ass. I haven't watched your vids in 2 freaking weeks and I miss the daily laughs. 😢
WE HAVE MISSED YOU!! STUDY HARD UR DOING GREAT!
Yes! I fully agree with Charlotte! You can do anything you set your mind to, I just know you’ll do amazing things!!
We have missed you through the screen
You got this. Goodluck at school!
Good luck with school!!

The crocodile story made me think of the fur industry being exposed. That's why I stopped buying brands.
The little son with the gel is so cute.
Made me think of the little boy who was crying because his dad didn't allow him to wipe him after his number 2
Charlotte you can never be replaced. Happy that you have your own channel but just saying that I miss you at the other one and the way you presented the content. That being said YOU ARE A GEM.
Lmao the guy calling his ex for cooking was too obvious. He could have googled it, but didnt. 🤣🤣🤷♀️
My ex tried this pathetic maneuver to contact me, except his question was about creating a playlist on Spotify. Why do some people think acting helpless is endearing?
10:08 (Sobs in alopecia) 🤣
My best friend is Native, and we both have a VERY twisted sense of humor, so Thanksgiving has become the day where we make up different names for the day that more accurately describe the original event.
Our current favorite is "National 'this is why you don't feed strays' day"
As a native, I do the same with my family. It’s pretty fun l
I LOVE that idea!
Years ago there was a Canadian show on the Nickelodeon network called, “You Can’t Do That On Television”. I remember one joke that went: Did you know that the “Indians” introduced Europeans to turkeys and tobacco - and the turkeys have been smokin’ the tobacco ever since!
If you're going to feed the strays, get them fixed too. If you dont you will soon have more than you can manage.
It used to drive me crazy to watch in the beginning. Now it’s something that just makes Charlotte even more adorable.
I wore a sweater that said "Leave me the F*cketh alone" on Thanksgiving and I am the one who cooked the whole dinner 😂 so 🤷♀️
The girl calming talking about the crocodiles is who I want to be like in every issue I want to discuss. 💚
And yet she is wrong about the wild to caged ratio.
She was wrong about A LOT of things! When will activists learn to stop bullshitting. I mean people are eating it up coz like "killing animals is bad" (when it suits them... I'm sure every one of them is Vegi/Vegan 🙄)
But if people actually spend a min to check these so called "facts" it makes anything legitimate anyone says about animal conservation have less weight. 😖
I was leakin 😂😂😂my friends say this too
Charlotte, “ I can embarrass myself if I want to”
…
ITS NOT EMBARRASSING IT HAPPENS TO ALL OF US LITERALLY!
story:when I was teaching middle school, this girl unfortunately got up at the end of class and had just gotten her period…and it got on the seat.
It’s life.
What a sweet young man!! He's being raised right for sure! That could've been so mortifying for her.
Literally have tears in my eyes reading that. What a sweet boy
“Here’s the thing Grant” I’m dying 😂
Edit $12????!
She might have bought the big box from an organic brand
I'd be pissed off too if I had let myself get ripped off like that. Where did she go to buy them, Prada? I've never seen tampons selling for more than $5 for the big box that lasts you two months.
@@ZimVader-0017 😂 exactly 😆
The girl shopping said LIKE um like and like so many times I wanted to scream.
A story should be understandable, have a beginning, a middle and and an end. And hopefully, a point.
Plastic bags were banned in NZ ages ago and most shops have alternatives (usually paper), but also heaps of places have reusable bags for sale within the store.
My favourite are the ones that scrunch up into little bags! That way I can just chuck a couple in my handbag.
The word 'toxic' is over used... someone respectfully disagreeing is not 'toxic, it's life!
1:30 the Kardashian bit 😂🤌🏻
I saw a lady wearing pants that had f you in tiny letters as the print on her pants to Christmas. She was embarrassed but her grandkids thought she rocked.😂
Did she not notice what they said?
I seen that video! You really couldn't tell until you got close!! So 🤣😂😂
Sales girl... I've never seen someone with nothing to say, yet telling it as if it was the most intense, exciting, fascinating story of the year 😂🤣
THANK YOU! I felt like I was dying the slowest death possible just trying to listen to her.
Was that a story? I only heard “actually, like (flips hair) , like, like (rolls eyes), actually, like, like, like…..
Thanksgiving is that time of the year when family and friends come together to celebrate everything we are thankful for in our lives. It is an opportunity to step back from the craziness of everyday life, take a breath, and reflect on what is truly important to you and your family.
This girl really wore an outfit to start drama and complained about the drama lol
In Belgium we banned plastic bags years ago. Even before it was an official rule, a lot of stores didn’t hand them out anymore. It’s mind blowing that Canada just banned it now. I thought you guys did that years ago as well as part of environmental change goals for plastic use 😅
In the beginning it wasn’t banned but you had to pay like an extra .25 for a bag
In the US it is state by state and here in Utah it gets banned city to city. It's insane, it needs to be universal!
Welp in the good ol USA we can still have plastic bags, but got the abortion ban going. Yay us.
Carry it with pride Charlotte!
The dad looking scared for his son, I just died 😂
Not gonna lie, that girl with the "bullsh*t" shirt on Thanksgiving was looking for attention. She wore it because she knew it would offend people.
There's so many other things she could wear without getting people upset.
She was definitely looking for drama. That’s why she was ready to record with her phone.
and I think the person talking to her was just more upset that it was a sweatshirt than what was written on it. Makes me think they normally dress up for the occasion. I wouldn't lecture her, though, because she clearly doesn't care.
Or, she was sick of being railroaded and finally made a declarative statement.
This
You have no idea what the story is behind why that woman is wearing the shirt to a gathering or the obvious attitude on display. Don't act like you're taking moral high ground when the people she's clearly antagonizing could be absolutely deserving of having their actual bullshit called out.
@@15Anime4Ever15 that’s your actual argument?
@@Miss_Camel as someone who wishes she had the actual balls to do something like that against my own toxic as fuck family? yeah. that's my actual argument
@@Miss_Camelit's a good argument. Pretty airtight actually

With obvious roots!
HATED it at first, but like anything, now that everyone's used to no plastic it's sweet as. That period story left me so anxious.....and laughing so hard. Go USA!!
