I've always loved how Zeta's occasional monster-of-the-week style resulted in bizarre, menacing, and exceptionally distinct mobile suits and mobile armors. Sure, it meant that a lot of them were an acquired taste or were simply more niche designs, but it provided such distinct and inventive designs that are instantly recognizable. It's the kind of thing that modern Gundam works shy away from in the hopes of making as many of their designs as possible be easy on the eyes to guarantee sales. You'll never see something like the Qubeley or the Baund Doc in WfM. My only gripe with this 80s mecha kino design is the lack of thrusters. For how menacing it looks while it rushes a MS down while in its MA mode, it only has 5 thruster bells: three medium-sized bells clustered at the tail of the skirt, and two microscopic thrusters on the tiny backpack on the torso. This thing deserved at least twice as many thrusters, along with an enormous flare of combusting gas and a comet-like trail to really make it look like it's meteoring towards you.
"I've got an idea for our next Zeta design." "What have you got? Remember, we've got to live up to the excellence of designs like the zaku, gouf, and dom." "We put a kangaroo in a ufo skirt and give it a crab claw. And it's neon pink." "My god...you're a genius."
In the UC universe, even the space ships get robot arms. The idea is AMBAC- a system where the mobile suits waive their arms and legss around like acrobats in order to turn in space. This allows for 0 fuel turns (Because you would otherwise have to use fuel for every tiny turn and adjustment). And it is why they have humanoids robots- if you got robot arms, you might as well give them guns. And 4 arms is better than 2 for the acrobat stuff. And you need landing gear, so two of the arms are actually legs. BAM- mobile suit made. This is also why the suits have stupid wings in Zeta. "6 is better than 4" is the logic.
Kinda little nonsense, except Minovsky craft system from mobile armor Apsalus and White Base ship. GN Drive (Gundam 00) and Ahab Reactor (Gundam IBO) kinda give little sense. They can manipulate gravity.
I gotta say, thank you for putting back that part where you slap down the runner bags as you count them. I don't know why but I find it entertaining and immediately noticed when you stopped doing it on some of your previous videos.

they placed a lot of effort into making the claw on the baund doc good, but not the seltsam's arms? (sorry i still wasnt over the fact that the fucking kit is incredibly loose and poorly designed arm)

Baund Doc is one of my favorite MS in the old PS2 Gundam vs Zeta Gundam game. Great to see it finally got a model kit release.
Now I wanna see a update kit of the O since all of the most iconic kits from Zeta got an update
Pretty darn awesome honestly, I know it’s goofy but it’s unique and that’s what a lot of gundam series lack now days! Awesome review man!

🎶 you ain't nothin' but a *baund doc*

Dude, I watched the livestream build and that was a good time.
The most beautiful and elegant MS is finally here! I have five in the mail currently.
His name kinda make sense. Baund Doc, there's a Filipino word Bundok meaning mountain. Baund Doc loos like a mountain with crab claw when it transforms.
Zeta is my absolute favorite Gundam but I don't really remember the Baund Doc. I think it was only in a few episodes.
Yep! Like most of the bad guy suits it didn’t last long
I loved it the moment i unlocked it in Gundam vs Zeta, all the titans mobile suits were neat.
Ok your intro become more and more...interesting lol. Also Lobster mobile suit!
Space flying crab 🦀 Ashtron Gundam be like hold my 🍻 Beer
Idk why some people dislike the design, for me this is very cool and unique. It's like the Anubis of the Gundam Universe (MS mode only though)

Personal preference, I don't like it either. I like weird design in AOZ but some of the design in Zeta just doesn't look good to me.
To me, it looks like it was made out of junks.
I fell in the love the first time I saw it, "what the hell is that?!". Really glad Bandai made a kit!
This was the fever dream of a Zeon engineer high on psilocybin
Flying horse shoe crab with guns
Very cool Mobile Armor. I'll have to get one.
He should customize it to look like a pirate
this kit looks really cool!! the single joint at the arm is kinda dissapointing though, but it's understandable with the transformation it's just kinda dissapointing seeing a a really skinny elbow having a single joint in my opinion
Single elbow plus the mid-forearm bend make for a full double bend basically. Just a really long elbow joint kinda
I honestly just want this so I can use it’s parts for custom builds.
I really like this design. It reminds me of something Toriyama would draw, specifically the Skeleton Pirate Robot from Dragonball
gonna get model and customise with seltsam arm
Ooh, that's a good idea!
I tried it. The Seltsam arm is a bit small but it can work
@@ZakuAurelius well, I guess that does make sense lol
I think this kit would actually look pretty nice kitbashed with some skinny legs. The massive waist piece kind of looks like a dress already.
He sounds like my local news' helicopter repporter
Not too much stickers which is 👍
This has some Getter Robo vibes IMO
Ah yes, the angry robot pirate kangaroo
Now someone can make that golden Bound Doc from Build Fighters Gm’s Counter Attack
and get wheeled under it 🤣😂✌️
what do you get when you blend a haro a crab and a ball lol 🤔
I want this one! And The Moon Gundam!.
Are you going to have a review also for the latest hgac heavyarms?
Nope
Good review
It's wierd and I love it, I'll buy 2 of those
The intro tho
Check out dragons heaven for The o and baund doc!
Yep that version inspired my custom build idea a bit!
here's hoping for a HGUC Psycho Gundam Mk II!
It's big, but I wonder how it compares to the Psycho Gundam
I'm not supposed to buy any gunpla for the rest of this year, but I must find out
baun doc is space unit right?
It's made to operate in both space and the Atmosphere.

That’s blocked here in Korea 😭
My main question: how many takes did that intro take
First take!

I agree it would be nice if Bandai showed a bit more love to some other series, but so long as we’re getting nice kits I guess 🤷♂️
Does the transformation require extra parts (parts-formation)? Does it leave some leftovers?
Nope! No parts forming
Aw man, you mentioning RE100 made me realize the line is truly dead. This would've been a perfect design for that
It doesn't seem to dead seeing as how they are still releasing some Re kits ( Lindwurm) I bet they will keep putting out kits randomly

No Big Zam HG yet. And Qubeley not really all that big in comparison. Kshatriya and Silver Bullet would be a couple other examples of some big ones
