- Here's the High-Grade 1/144 scale Dra-C. This is another really unique Zeon mobile suit that just makes for a really cool kit based on it's design alone!

I always thought of the mobile suit as a humanoid space fighter with leg and back thrusters giving them unlimited maneuverability as well as all terrain and multi environmental offensive capabilities.

Well it was supposed to have legs they were just short on time
I think it's really funny that he says this to the one guy in the entire army famous for his kicks

One of my Zeon grunt faves. There are 2 P-Bandai of this. One with modified shoulder thrusters and the Unicorn version.
All I remember about this suit is that it's even weaker than Zaku II in Super Robot Wars 3, which was really impressive.

This is one of my favorite MS. Could be a fun kit to practice scribing and custom mods
I definitely see some potential in using the extra parts on Zakus. Definitely gonna get this kit just for its parts.
if only this kit wasn't so rare... I had to get p-bandai Dra-C custom and build it as the regular variant, because finding it was easier and cheaper than tracking down "real" retail kit lol

Agreed, also by entering to planets a MS with legs can be more versatile don´t forget rocket fuel movility system in space is very diferent than in an atmophere.

@@chacrawarrior It's Active Mass Balance Auto Control. It's the computer using the mass of the limbs and thrusters to maneuver a suit in three dimensions in zero g. Like real life life astronauts do with thrusters.

0083 MS are so good!
The stand and the screws are what make it 2000 yen. Can't just look at the kit itself, have to consider everything in the box.
Yeah I get that but still seems a couple hundred yen over imo
Stand base cost 500 yen, so yeah, that make sense
IMO, the reason why space MS needs leg because they need it to turn/rotate their body. most MS didn't have thrusters on their front side, thrusters are often on the backpack, side of shoulder, and legs

This could be a great to do a kitbashing with a normal Zaku but leaving the legs.
Damn big for a mass production grunt. The only real edge I see it has an a Zaku is that the beam saber has more reach than the Zaku's heat hawk, but with that grafted 40mm vulcan there is no way he'll match it in a fire fight.
It has fuel tanks, no legs mean easier maintenance, and the gatling can absolutely beat a zaku machine gun

Ah, the Dra-C. Evidence that ZEON.....really had some budget cuts after the first war. Supposedly built entirely from salvaged suits and spares, such as the torso being from a Zaku. ....Wonder what they did with the salvaged legs? Was there a land-only MS that's just a spider with all zaku legs they never got around to using?
Apparently Dra-C are built from spare Zaku II F2 and Gattle parts
but visually only the arms, torso and groin are clearly derived from the Zaku II F2
Okay I'm now interested if anyone's tried to make a Dra-C out of parts from the Gunpla of those. (Not that I expect there to be a lot of Gattle Gunpla). Though I do still wonder; is there a warehouse of Zaku legs somewhere? Granted I guess Zeong shows that Zeon was moving into a post-leg era of Mobile Suit/Armor design, but still.@@sigmazeta2044
@@FFfanboyX try googling "Prototype Dra-C" which is an unofficial kitbash made by someone where it's a Zaku II F2 with modified head slapped with Dra-C's blue thrusters

If you have an old school zaku HG, you could give the Dra-C regular legs

I do like how unique the kit is, but I agree it should be used as kitbash material. I see maybe using some large fuel tanks, the actual Zaku head and maybe some additional weapons like missile pods and a larger shield. I’m almost thinking Deep Striker style looks as well. And then lastly a different paint job. Light and dark gray (as it is a space mobile suit) with an accent color of purple
There’s another version which I believe is cannon that is more a normal Zaku II and has the Zaku leg missile pods on the fuel tanks

I used to dislike this suit but its growing on me.
Why do space ms have legs? Same reason you have a base stand. Makes them easier to park.
Pretty sure there was also an hg Dra-C Custom. Which is the variant that uses the Gatling gun primarily and has more angular thrusters

There is a P bandai Dra-C kai but it's only the normal variant without the big gatling gun and missle pods

Dra C Kai is different. Technically. It uses a different Gatling gun.

Dra-C basically a interceptor purpose mobile suits, also their shoulder's ball is their Minovky tank and thruster for manuevering in high speed (but GP-01 FB easily beat it)

The Zudah wishes it was this thing lmao
Not to argue, but other than the lack of the saturn engine and quick acceleration and straight line flight capabilty this ms isnt better then a Zudah...its AMBAC is horrid, lacks backup weapons systems, has a bad generator, its got shit turning ability and its normal armament is vastly inferior to the 135mm ASR. It has its place as a fast hit and run unit, but it isnt very versatile.

Not exactly a trash to treasure, but I think it would be really easy to bash this with a newer Zaku for a Tristan-style upgrade. Seems like the only thing that would even require much effort would be modding Zaku's waist to work with the thrusters.
