There was a possibility Never Say Die would get a release at the end of the reissue campaign but it would have been released by now. They were also ludicrously expensive on their release and indeed now you can pick them up much cheaper (now the diehards have bought them). The Paranoid vinyl version is still ridiculously priced if you can even find a copy.
@@NowSpinningMagazine I think that's the main problem. Lack of archive material to make a box set viable. I thought the Sabotage box set was very weak in this regard. I'd like to see some Styx box sets from the 70s. There must be some live recordings in the vaults from this period.

Hi Phil, Love your channel! I would love to see the remaining Sabbath albums with Ozzy get the Super Deluxe treatment and also a Born Again box set. I would also love to see Ozzy Blizzard of Oz and Diary of a Madman get box set treatments. I feel those 2 Ozzy albums have a number of things we haven’t heard especially since they acquired Bob Daisley’s tapes. I would also love for Iron Maiden to do a box set of live shows and rarities. I missed out on the Maiden box set in the early 2000s. I was disappointed that Maiden didn’t reissue the 40th anniversary of Number of the Beast on cd. I would love to see the Paice Aston Lord stuff reissued. Looking forward to Dio Last In Line super deluxe as I feel like that will happen for sure. I hope eventually you do a review on the Iron Maiden remasters that came out a few years ago. Happy New Year and keep up the great work! All the best.

Hi dear Phil, Yes, you are so right about Bob Seger. Affordable price I would be all in. Also agree with Lynyrd Skynyrd. Maybe a Nick Lowe box set. XTC would be another one they should assemble a CD complete album collection. All the best for 2023 to you, your family and your channel.
A Nektar studio albums box set would be fantastic. Loggins and Messina box set also. Back catalog is in need of remastering and expanding. Also a Leon Russell studio box.
I’m new to your channel and have really been enjoying your wonderful videos! Anyway, I’d love to see a Van Halen Hagar years vinyl box set, and Iron Maiden 1990-2015 vinyl reissue. Also, Heaven & Hell, Devil you Know deluxe set with live material would be fantastic. Keep up the great work.
On vinyl, I would love new remastered copies of Teaser by Tommy Bolin, Obsession by UFO, Fog on the Tyne by Lindisfarne and a re-release of Badfinger's Apple catalogue. Give it your best shot Phil!
Comments cc’d from Patreon - Another excellent example of your ‘passion’, love it! I think you mentioned most things I can think of. Black Sabbath with Tony Martin is an obvious one, which Tony Iommi has already indicated is likely to happen in 2023. I just hope that it’s done really well and will include Eternal Idol, which (I believe) was on a different label to the rest. I’d like to see a further box-set of Seal’s 2nd and later albums, and also a roll-up of many of his rarer singles and collaborations. I’ve got pretty much everything he’s ever put out, including promos and non-album remixes, but I’d still like to see these get remastered and repackaged with a good booklet to tell his story. I know there is a large community of Seal fans who would be interested in this. Next, I’m hoping there’ll be a Giles Martin remaster package for Rubber Soul by The Beatles. I’m very keen to see more combined multi-format (both CD and vinyl) options for both reissues and new albums, as a cost-effective way of getting both together, rather than buying each separately. I’ll have a think about anything else I might like and comment again in a day or two 👍 More thoughts … I’m hoping for what should be the next-in-sequence of the Rush box-sets, which should be Signals, which is one of my all-time favourites by them. Also, I’d love to see Judas Priest’s Unleashed In The East get an ‘expanded’ release, much like UFO and ‘Lizzy’s live albums have. This is another of my favourite live albums that I love to bits and I always wished it was longer. In particular, my vinyl copy included a bonus 7” with a version of Beyond The Realms Of Death that is different and better to the versions available elsewhere on CD and has never (to my knowledge) been released on CD. I did find this version on RUclips and sneakily ‘ripped’ it, but it would be great to get a proper release of it. In case you’re interested, here’s a link to the RUclips video - ruclips.net/video/7TLgxaoxjjg/видео.html 🤘 How’s about a career-spanning CD box set for Heart? I’d buy that! Saw them twice, in the 80’s, and they were fantastic! I’ve got quite a few CDs already but not all and none remastered. So deffo one I’d be interested in.
April Wine wine from the first few albums released on Aquarius in Canada and also the Capital Albums plus the albums on the later labels all the way through. I was going to say Bob Seger too.
Phil, my own wish list reflects your own after hearing your suggestions. A James Gang set would be great. I would love a Lowell George era Little Feat box set. Good news from Cherry Red is that a Foghat set is coming out in the spring.
I'd love to see a box set of the first few Nektar albums. Still waiting for the McCartney box sets for London Town and Back To The Egg, and John and Yoko's "Sometime In New York City".
I would love to see a cd boxed set of Savoy Brown’s Decca/London period. Especially the early albums from “Shakedown “ to “Raw Sienna “ in their Mono mixes as they are very different to find in the original vinyl versions.
Black Oak Arkansas box set. From their debut up to Aint Life Grand. 5 studio cds. 2 live cds(Raunch n Roll Live and Street Party) plus Early Times(early demos from 68/69 when known as The Knowbody Else).
@@NowSpinningMagazine they released a box set a couple years ago that had their later releases from the later 70’s onward but their best and most known releases are from their debut up til Aint Life Grand.
Hi Phil from Melbourne Super Deluxe editions of: Black Sabbath - Debut, Master of Reality, Sabbath Bloody Sabbath, Born Again.. Jethro Tull - Broadsword and the Beast.
The mediabook of Broadsword and the Beast is what I am looking forward to this year but regarding old bands, I would like to see boxsets of would be Sassafras and Stackridge. Alan Hull besides Lindisfarne as well.
As I’m watching this in June of 2023 I’d love to have a special edition box set of Bon Jovi’s Slippery When Wet for the 37th anniversary in August. Why have we not got one of these yet!? We got one for New Jersey and it was a great release but Slippery When Wet has been left untouched for some reason. The only thing I can think is that Richie and Jon both need to be there with the organization and release of that box set and they just haven’t gotten together.
Yes Phil , a Lindisfarne set would be great, or a box of all the unreleased Alan Hull demos that were mentioned in the BBC documentary a couple of years ago. Ralph McTell needs a good set, including the wonderful You Well Meaning Brought Me Here album. A decent Jimmy MacCulloch retrospective. I’d also like to see Brian Hogg putting together a full scale collection of Scottish 60s & 70s bands to go with the history that he did years ago.
There is a new repertoire Lindisfarne 8 box set of all the bbc recordings coming out early this year curated by Colin Harper who did all of the Pentangle stuff. I would live to see an Alan Hull one though too.
Huge Starz fan would love that. Will you be getting the Horslips box? The price is a bit intimidating for me but would love it. James gang would be great as well. Is Piper out of the question even combined with billy squire? Thanks
id like to see a boxset of eddy grant as he has so many albums, yet its only best of compilations that are in print. Id also like to see a bsides/rarities boxset for XTC (I believe there was one but its long out of print). oh, and animal boy by the ramones has been impossible to find on cd for years, that desperately needs reissuing
Accept needs a box set. And Helloween. Come to think of it, it would be nice if Iron Maiden did a mini vinyl replica cd box set of all their albums as well.
@@NowSpinningMagazine Phil, I believe Unidisc in Canada has released most of the Teaze albums on CD, but it's been a while, so a box would be most welcome. As would one from Santers, Coney Hatch, Goddo -- all out there, but getting scarcer to find. OH, and as I was listening to this am - UK band Nightwing! Not much on these guys out there.
I believe Uli has gone on record as saying that Tokyo Tapes was actually from a set of shows in Japan, and that there was a MUCH better one that they didn’t record. D’oh! I’d still love to see a deluxe treatment of this iconic double live album. I’d buy it. Again.
@@NowSpinningMagazine It all boils down to who holds the rights to the albums. If the Scorpions had the rights wouldn't they have reissued and remastered them with the rest of the catalogue? David Coverdale has the same problem with the early Whitesnake albums.
@@NowSpinningMagazine Yes.... twice ! Strawbs would be fantastic although I own all of the cd’s and vinyls. I still can see it lying there on my table with an amazing book and lots of extra’s here in The Netherlands...
The only ones that I can think of are the first seven of the moody blues CDs box sets individually from Days of future passed to Seventh sojourn because those Moody Blues albums are (in my opinion)the best albums by far! That would be great for any fans of that group. So what say you?😊
Bob Seger, Black Sabbath with Tony Martin, Lindisfarne - yes, yes, yes! I would also like to see a Billy Joel set, a Chris Norman (who`s been making some fine music since he left Smokie)set, a complete works box set of The Devils Blood and a more than deserved Jim Steinman box set incorporating a remastered `Bad For Good` plus all the demos from that album and others that I know are out there.
Now that Slayer is retired, I'd like to see a box set with all their releases and their b-sides, rarities, demos. Also another box set of all of Slayers live video releases (remastered) as some of them are out of print, and include all their music videos, and maybe include a new career spanning documentary. Also like you said Phil, a Tony Martin era Black Sabbath box set. Also a remixed Black Sabbath "Born Again". Also would like to see a upgraded to HD Blu ray of Pink Floyds "Live In Pompeii", and "The Wall".
David Werner.....U.S. 70's glam rocker. His official 3 albums (plus live promo album)...Whizz Kid, Imagination Quota, and self titled from 1979 have never been released on CD. Would love to see them all in one small box.
You called it for me, Phil with “Made in Europe“. Being a proud owner of the “Made in Japan“ nine album box I would dearly love to see a similar expansion afforded to “Made in Europe“. As much as I love Japan, I have to say Europe is my favourite.
OK. Here we go. Yes would love to see a deep purple made in Europe box set of there 3 entire concerts. This was suppose to happen in 2015, but as you mentioned, I don't think it happened. Secondly how about a Genesis complete box set.
I would like to have a box set of live Santana from the early years. I'd like the Richard & Linda Thompson "Hard Luck Stories" box set. It disappeared just after its release and I haven't seen it again.
Sandy Denny full box at an affordable price. Alice Cooper Career box. Harvest box you own. I'm sure I could think of more but none come to mind right now.
I would like to see a CD box set of The Rolling Stones complete 60s catalogue. They released the mono box set in 2016, but there’s a lot of duplications of tracks in there because it has the UK and US albums. What I would like is a set that just has all the UK albums with a bonus disc including every song that wasn’t included on the UK albums. That way Stones fans won’t have to buy both the UK and US albums just to have every song.
I'd love to see tull reproduce their large format media book format of long out of print: songs from the wood, minstrel, stand up, aqualung heavy horses etc.. I see it might happen as they are now doing that for thick as a brick. The prices on ebay/discogs for those out-of-print ones is shameful
Paul McCartney obviously takes his time and has no rush whatsoever because he's planning on living a thousand years more, although I must admit I'm getting a bit impatient with some holes in the archive releases. I would love for all the lost Genesis songs from the Trespass area to be found and released in a giant box set, that would be a dream come true. On a more realistic note I would love a deluxe set of Country Life by Roxy Music.
- Page Plant - No Quarter (on Vinyl and a cd box with extras and the blu ray version) - Page Plant - Walking into Clarksdale (Vinyl) - Led Zeppelin - New various live concerts & unseen Blu ray concerts ac well - Pink Floyd - Pompeii blu ray and the infamous the Wall Live on dvd blu Ray that has been circulating as a rumour for years plus Roger Waters Dark side of the moon Live tour) - Neil Young - Weld (dvd/blu ray/vinyl at last) - Neil Young - Mirrorball (vinyl) - Van Halen - Balance (vinyl) - Jethro Tull (Broadsword is in the works and the next deluxe book reissue) - Marillion (next deluxe book reissue) - Tool (at last a box set of various dvd/blu ray live concerts) - Black Sabbath (Dio Vinyl box + Blu ray concerts with Ronnie and Tony Martin deluxe reissues) - Black Sabbath - The Last Supper (on Blu ray with the full set list gig ...finally without the...horendous interviews between songs ... the guy who did this at first has to be a genius i suppose) - Grand Funk reissues on vinyl in their original form) - Coverdale Page (Box set is set for release this year, hopefully very very soon) - plus so many other things ...
Well, I never wanted to buy all the seperate albums of Eloy, but if there would be a boxset of them, I would definitely buy. 🤓 Some other groups/bands that deserve a decent boxset to be released: Nektar, Supertramp, and Rammstein.
I hope there is a David Bowie 40th anniversary box set of Let's Dance. It was his biggest selling album. And I'm sure there is a plethora of items they can through into a set from that era. A blu ray copy of the Series Moonlight concert for instance....
Now that Esoteric have issued Family's 'A Song For Me', I'd like to see a box set with all the albums, whistles and bangs. The Lilac Time need the box set treatment too, as do Michael Head's bands The Pale Fountains/Shack/The Strands.
Ian Gillian Band. The rest of the Ozzy era Sabbath , although I think we won’t be getting them. Lastly I would love a Tommy Bolin career spanning boxset.
Pink Floyd Dark Side Of The Moon 50th Anniversary, John Lennon, Mind Games, 50th Anniversary, Wings London Town Archive Editions, Wings Back To The Egg Archive Editions, Rush Signals, 40th Anniversary Edition.
i would like: the sweet cd box set that's only released in europe to be released in the u.s., maiden japan: released on cd as bonus tks on the 95 killer's / castle cd set (but release as whole show), anything dave clark 5: can't find anything here, re-release the shangri-la's remastered with better sound quality, patsy cline mca box set: it almost had all of her output. unfortunately her masters were lost in the universal fire, alice in chains - live facelift: 1st released on vhs in 91 then on vinyl for record store day. i would like the whole show on cd & dvd.
@@jimwood1968CDcollectorCAVE Hi Jim. I have a question. Did you notice what amps were used at this gig? A bit of a strange one but the doors sounded heavier and darker at the roundhouse than at any other gig I've heard. I have the performance on bootleg and its definitely the band at their best. It sounded as if they were using Marshall Amps rather than their usual orange amps. Thanks in advance buddy. Take care.
@@jimwood1968CDcollectorCAVE Ah brilliant! I think you are correct. The Doors sounded a bit thin live, except at the roundhouse where they were just incredible. Thanks for the reply... and I'm not jealous that you were at one of the finest concert of all time! All the best.
Came up with 3 more that I would certainly purchase would they ever appear . I'd love to see box sets fo All About Eve , Ultravox , and Clan Of Xymox .
I would definitely be interested in a Bob Seger box. The only CD from pre 1975 I own is Mongrel (1970). I will buy the Live and Dangerous box set. I won't mind listening to 8, 10 or 12 versions of Bob Seger's "Rosalie" lol. A new XTC box set would be nice. Two box sets I'm not expecting to see, ever: 1. A City Boy anthology, with some live tracks from 1978-1979 or so if there are good/usable tapes around, which I highly doubt 2. A Headboys CD box set. They only made two albums so a box set is stretching it. Their second, previously unreleased LP, was finally released in 2013 on CD, as "The Lost Album", more than 30 years after it was recorded. So a first (?) CD release of their eponymous first album from 1979 would be even better. I would definitely buy a "twofer" on 1 or 2 CD's to get that first album, even if I never have been a fan of that concept.
1) I'd love Blood & Fire to be revived, because no on reissued reggae albums with the care, remastering, liner notes and album art that they did. First up should be a Bob Andy set, from his seminal 1967-70 singles collection Song Book through his first official solo album, The Music Inside Me (1976), neither of which have ever come out on CD. Next maybe Cedric Im Brooks or Max Romeo. 2) Athens, GA's The Method Actors released one of the best double albums of 1981, Little Figures, and it sadly has never made it to CD. The US release stripped it down to a single album, and Acute records included 9 of the tracks along with singles and EPs on This Is Still It (2010). Follow-up Luxury (1983) is also out of print. Let's get this out! 3) Easterhouse - Contenders (1986). It came out on CD by Cherry Red in 2001. Unfortunately it’s a really poor vinyl rip. Someone has the proper masters, as the version on Spotify sounds excellent. It needs to be properly redone with all the extras and other albums. 4) Melbourne garage punk/noir contemporaries of The Scientists and The Birthday Party, The Moodists. Great stuff long out of print. Also The New Christs. 5) While I got my wish and my copy of the 2CD reissue of Modern Eon's Fiction Tales should be arriving any day now, there's a ton of other post-punk bands that have been neglected -- Breathless, Opposition, And Also the Trees, For Against, Lowlife, Asylum Party. More: Amon Düül II, Guru Guru, Yellow Magic Orchestra, High Tide, Stray, Night Sun, The Groundhogs, November, Dark, Affinity, Mighty Baby, Speed, Glue & Shinki, Flower Travellin' Band, Heldon, João Gilberto, Tom Zé, Terry Callier, O.V. Wright, The Temptations, Doll By Doll, This Heat, Riptides, Metro, Agent Orange, Melvins, Walt Mink.
I would like to see a Pink Floyd - The Middle Years set in the style of The Early Years covering Dark Side through The Final Cut with complete or partial live concerts from each tour on audio and/or video with reproduction tickets, tour programs, and a small inflatable pig. I would like to see a Camel box in the style of the Blue Oyster Cult Columbia box. I think it would be great to give Mikael Akerfeldt carte blanche to curate a box of obscure rock/psych/folk. I too am looking forward to the upcoming Black Sabbath box. I hope it is not limited to Tony Martin…just get all those non-Ozzy/Dio albums together. I would love for Jethro Tull to reprint the book sets. I missed a lot of those. I am thankful the Thick as a Brick repress comes out this month. I think an Impulse Records John Coltrane box would be great too. I’d like the big Alice Cooper album box to get reissued too. I missed out and it is cost prohibitive now like those Tull sets.
More hardcore punk CD box sets. Most bands are pretty obscure and can have rare out of print releases. There was a cool 7" box set not long ago from the punk band Doom. Also how about the Swans - early years. Einsturzende Neubauten early years. Zoviet France. Maybe some hip hop too like Big Daddy Kane, MC Lyte, Geto Boys, Schoolly D.
Hi Phil: I would love to see CD reissues of the albums from the Original Mirrors (Original Mirrors (1980) and Heart-Twango & Raw-Beat (1981) with bonus tracks such as an Italy-only single "Flying"). Great British New Wave! Additionally, I would love to see an original albums CD boxed set for The Fleshtones (Roman Gods (1982), Blast Off! [recorded in 1978] (1982), Hexbreaker! (1983) and Fleshtones vs. Reality (1987)). This American Garage Rock "Super-Rock" band is still going strong, but the early albums desperately need a comprehensive CD reissue with original track listing and artwork. My choices may have niche sales potential, but there you have it. I have been searching for decades. 😄. - Heather
THE MOVIES (The Movies, Double A, Bullets Through The Barrier, India, Motor Motor Motor)!!!. The band time forgot, as the band say themselves. I've mentioned this band as overdue a box set/reissues on CD (it's never happened) so many times and even messaged Cherry Red and Music On CD to be met with silence. This is high order art/prog/pop rock, think 10cc (sort of!). Luckily I've still got the vinyls but bloody hell, Cafe Jacques and Sad Cafe even got limited CD reissues. Just make one box for me!!. There's loads of outtakes and videos for extra discs too. Come on!!!. Also, the Jethro Tull book sets should be available for anyone right now, why on earth they were limited with a huge fanbase like Tull's is beyond me. Jefferson Starship, what a back catalogue they've got but try and find a CD..., Styx too, long overdue luxury treatment. Peter Gabriel 1, 2, 3, 4, his best albums, only So (his 'commercial' album) has had the treatment. Cyril Havermans, ex Focus guitarist, two great solo albums never on CD.....
Hi Ian, thank you for watching and what a list that is. I think we can expect the print runs to get smaller but this should also mean lesser known niche bands should get covered. Phil
Agreed Phil. I know The Movies aren't heavy rock or metal but they are just a great band from the late 70's very much overlooked since the start of the CD era. Bullets Through The Barrier is my recommendation to anyone who has never heard them...
Phil- 90% of your suggestions will never happen- as there is no money for the music companies! The best selection was Lindisfarne which i have the rare Japanese minilps but a good box with extras etc perhaps some Alan Hull too would be very nice to see - let's see what happens- hope we are NOT overwhelmed with stuff as pennies only go so far- Lizzy and Dylan are already on pre-order!

I agree, we need Black Sabbath - The Tony Martin Years soon. The remix of Forbidden has been ready for years! I'd also love a remix of Born Again, and AC/DC's Fly on the Wall, which needs a remix desparately. As does UFO's Midemeanor to remove those horrible 80s affectations! Slightly off topic, but having heard the fantastic new Sweet single 'Don't Bring Me Water', I'd love an album of new material from Sweet in that vein in 2023.

Another excellent example of your ‘passion’, love it! I think you mentioned most things I can think of. Black Sabbath with Tony Martin is an obvious one, which Tony Iommi has already indicated is likely to happen in 2023. I just hope that it’s done really well and will include Eternal Idol, which (I believe) was on a different label to the rest.

I’ll have a think about anything else I might like and comment again in a day or two
👍
More thoughts …
I’m hoping for what should be the next-in-sequence of the Rush box-sets, which should be Signals, which is one of my all-time favourites by them.
In case you’re interested, here’s a link to the RUclips video - ruclips.net/video/7TLgxaoxjjg/видео.html
🤘
How’s about a career-spanning CD box set for Heart? I’d buy that! Saw them twice, in the 80’s, and they were fantastic! I’ve got quite a few CDs already but not all and none remastered. So deffo one I’d be interested in.
Hi Andy, I will be compiling the comments together to add to the webpage this week. Phil :)
Love to see a good Poco boxset. Great country rock outfit! The great prog band Camel would be another good one.
Two great bands that need career defining box sets. Phil
April Wine wine from the first few albums released on Aquarius in Canada and also the Capital Albums plus the albums on the later labels all the way through. I was going to say Bob Seger too.
Hi Bobby, that would be really cool as I have not even heard those myself! Phil
Hello Phil from Texas. I would love a super deluxe box set of Dido that has all of her releases on both vinyl & cd. Thanks.
Thank you I will add it to the list - Phil
Phil, my own wish list reflects your own after hearing your suggestions. A James Gang set would be great. I would love a Lowell George era Little Feat box set. Good news from Cherry Red is that a Foghat set is coming out in the spring.
Hi Thank you for watching. I will be reviewing the Foghat set and hopefully interviewing them for the Now Spinning Magazine podcast as well - Phil
The Dark Side Of The Moon - 50th anniversary with an AAA LP would be really cool!
I want Black Sabbaths Born Again remixed…
Oh yes, that would be epic and the master tapes have been found now as well. Phil
I'd love to see a box set of the first few Nektar albums. Still waiting for the McCartney box sets for London Town and Back To The Egg, and John and Yoko's "Sometime In New York City".
I bought a box of five Nektar albums on CD called "5 Essential Albums" in 2019. 🙂
Hi Larry, great choices. There was a cheap 5 albums set for Nektar but I agree they need a proper career overview set with a booklet etc. Phil
I would love to see a cd boxed set of Savoy Brown’s Decca/London period. Especially the early albums from “Shakedown “ to “Raw Sienna “ in their Mono mixes as they are very different to find in the original vinyl versions.
Phil not only spins discs but also spins plates to help us.
Black Oak Arkansas box set. From their debut up to Aint Life Grand. 5 studio cds. 2 live cds(Raunch n Roll Live and Street Party) plus Early Times(early demos from 68/69 when known as The Knowbody Else).
I would buy that, I don’t have much Black Oak so that would be really exciting. Phil
@@NowSpinningMagazine they released a box set a couple years ago that had their later releases from the later 70’s onward but their best and most known releases are from their debut up til Aint Life Grand.
Agree!
Hi Phil from Melbourne
Super Deluxe editions of:
Black Sabbath - Debut, Master of Reality,
Sabbath Bloody Sabbath,
Born Again..
Jethro Tull - Broadsword and the Beast.
Well the Tull set is on its way and those Sabbath albums are the most requested in this thread. Phil
The mediabook of Broadsword and the Beast is what I am looking forward to this year but regarding old bands, I would like to see boxsets of would be Sassafras and Stackridge. Alan Hull besides Lindisfarne as well.
Hi Lee, Sassafras - what a great band that would be great as their albums are so hard to find. Phil
A deluxe Captain Beefheart box would be great!
Yes! 🙂
Yes please 🙏
THAT GROW FINS BOXSET REISSUE WOULD BE NICE
Sun Zoom Spark 1970-72 is awesome, pick that up if you still can!
I'd love an XTC box set. Also Brownsville Station. And the UK Mr Big (they had a hit with Romeo) would be good to see.
Hi David, thank you for watching. Those are great choices. I remember the UK Mr Big very well. Phil
The Who "Who's Next' Box Set (including the Lifehouse recordings)
Another thumbs up 👍 from me for this one. It would need to include Relay as that is one of my favourite songs by The Who. Phil :)
I believe there is one coming in 2023
Yes Phil , a Lindisfarne set would be great, or a box of all the unreleased Alan Hull demos that were mentioned in the BBC documentary a couple of years ago.
Graham, I agree. An Alan Hull set would be great, I would love to hear those demos too.
Thank you 🙏 wonderful choices and perfect for Cherry Red or Esoteric - Phil
There is a new repertoire Lindisfarne 8 box set of all the bbc recordings coming out early this year curated by Colin Harper who did all of the Pentangle stuff. I would live to see an Alan Hull one though too.
Huge Starz fan would love that. Will you be getting the Horslips box? The price is a bit intimidating for me but would love it. James gang would be great as well. Is Piper out of the question even combined with billy squire? Thanks
Hi Alex, some great choices. I would love the Horslips set, it looks fantastic but I don’t have the funds for it! Phil
id like to see a boxset of eddy grant as he has so many albums, yet its only best of compilations that are in print. Id also like to see a bsides/rarities boxset for XTC (I believe there was one but its long out of print).
oh, and animal boy by the ramones has been impossible to find on cd for years, that desperately needs reissuing
Hi Dan, thank you for sharing your choices. Phil
Accept needs a box set. And Helloween. Come to think of it, it would be nice if Iron Maiden did a mini vinyl replica cd box set of all their albums as well.
Great choices !
Tease! Great Canadian band Phil.
Thank you 🙏
@@NowSpinningMagazine Phil, I believe Unidisc in Canada has released most of the Teaze albums on CD, but it's been a while, so a box would be most welcome. As would one from Santers, Coney Hatch, Goddo -- all out there, but getting scarcer to find. OH, and as I was listening to this am - UK band Nightwing! Not much on these guys out there.
Coverdale Page and Black Sabbath - Headless Cross
Hi Stuart, thank you for watching, great choices. Phil :)
Coverdale Page is coming, and all the Tony Martin era albums are getting a re release of some sort.
Reissues of both the Elektra Records box set and the Sandy Denny set would be lovely
Hi John, I would go for those as well. Phil :)
I believe Uli has gone on record as saying that Tokyo Tapes was actually from a set of shows in Japan, and that there was a MUCH better one that they didn’t record. D’oh! I’d still love to see a deluxe treatment of this iconic double live album. I’d buy it. Again.
I did not know that. A Uli period Scorpions box is well overdue! Phil
@@NowSpinningMagazine It all boils down to who holds the rights to the albums. If the Scorpions had the rights wouldn't they have reissued and remastered them with the rest of the catalogue? David Coverdale has the same problem with the early Whitesnake albums.
And I missed the Gentle Giant boxset. Ordered it at Burning Shed but was sold out in three seconds...
I think I blinked and it had gone as well! Phil
@@NowSpinningMagazine
Yes.... twice !
Strawbs would be fantastic although I own all of the cd’s and vinyls. I still can see it lying there on my table with an amazing book and lots of extra’s here in The Netherlands...
THEY promised a second issue of the GG boxset but then covid hit and nothing has happened with it since!
@@gratefulblac
I believe there was a second run of 1000 copies. Told my wife.... she said : “well ok”.... and it was sold out again....
still awaitng Black Sabbath Master of Reality and debut albums deluxe box sets?
Looking through the comments these are the most asked for! Phil :)
Heart box set. Similar to BOC and Kansas.
Wouldn’t that be great. That is long overdue. A heart studio or complete albums box set would be fantastic. Phil
I would love to see a Canned Heat box set.
The only ones that I can think of are the first seven of the moody blues CDs box sets individually from Days of future passed to Seventh sojourn because those Moody Blues albums are (in my opinion)the best albums by far! That would be great for any fans of that group. So what say you?😊
Totally agree, I love the Moody Blues! Phil :)
All I want is a studio album boxset by Thin Lizzy and Prince , mainly the first ten years for Prince as he went downhill after sign of the times
Robin Trower's albums..
Hi Sjhue, thank you 🙏 what a great list. Jim Steinman would be most welcome. Phil :)
So many great choices there. Well there is no shortage of ideas in this thread! Phil
I would like to see a "Ramones Complete Studio & Live albums" CD boxset. Then a reissue of ALL there live & documentary DVD's
Thank you for watching and sharing your thoughts. Love the Ramones ! Phil
David Werner.....U.S. 70's glam rocker. His official 3 albums (plus live promo album)...Whizz Kid, Imagination Quota, and self titled from 1979 have never been released on CD. Would love to see them all in one small box.
Thank you 🙏
You called it for me, Phil with “Made in Europe“. Being a proud owner of the “Made in Japan“ nine album box I would dearly love to see a similar expansion afforded to “Made in Europe“. As much as I love Japan, I have to say Europe is my favourite.
Hi Paul, no news of the Made in Europe Super Deluxe set, I would love to see this appear one day! Phil
A Triumph box set please
Hi Jim, that would be most welcome and I would love to see that. Phil :)
OK. Here we go. Yes would love to see a deep purple made in Europe box set of there 3 entire concerts. This was suppose to happen in 2015, but as you mentioned, I don't think it happened. Secondly how about a Genesis complete box set.
I would really like to see this as I know a lot of the work had been carried out. Phil
I would like to have a box set of live Santana from the early years. I'd like the Richard & Linda Thompson "Hard Luck Stories" box set. It disappeared just after its release and I haven't seen it again.
Hi Craig, Santana would be great and you are right the Hard Luck Stories set vanished very quickly. Phil
Sandy Denny full box at an affordable price. Alice Cooper Career box. Harvest box you own. I'm sure I could think of more but none come to mind right now.
Great choices !
Great choices !
Goodbye Cream apparently its not being repressed. Cannot understand why no Disraeli Gears not has an expanded box just the 2CD
That would be very popular and an excellent way of putting it together as well. Phil
John Serry Jr. - Exhibition (1979) and Jazziz (1980) - not available on CD - in Set including maybe Live-Tracks
I'd love to see tull reproduce their large format media book format of long out of print: songs from the wood, minstrel, stand up, aqualung heavy horses etc.. I see it might happen as they are now doing that for thick as a brick. The prices on ebay/discogs for those out-of-print ones is shameful
Hi Brian, although a great idea I don’t think that will happen. I just hope they repress some of the out of print book style sets. Phil
- Page Plant - No Quarter (on Vinyl and a cd box with extras and the blu ray version)
- Page Plant - Walking into Clarksdale (Vinyl)
- Led Zeppelin - New various live concerts & unseen Blu ray concerts ac well
- Pink Floyd - Pompeii blu ray and the infamous the Wall Live on dvd blu Ray that has been circulating as a rumour for years plus Roger Waters Dark side of the moon Live tour)
- Neil Young - Weld (dvd/blu ray/vinyl at last)
- Neil Young - Mirrorball (vinyl)
- Van Halen - Balance (vinyl)
- Jethro Tull (Broadsword is in the works and the next deluxe book reissue)
- Marillion (next deluxe book reissue)
- Tool (at last a box set of various dvd/blu ray live concerts)
- Black Sabbath (Dio Vinyl box + Blu ray concerts with Ronnie and Tony Martin deluxe reissues)
- Black Sabbath - The Last Supper (on Blu ray with the full set list gig ...finally without the...horendous interviews between songs ... the guy who did this at first has to be a genius i suppose)
- Grand Funk reissues on vinyl in their original form)
- Coverdale Page (Box set is set for release this year, hopefully very very soon)
- plus so many other things ...
Hi, thank you for watching and sharing your wish list. There are some great suggestions there, in fact I would love all of those! Phil :)
Well, I never wanted to buy all the seperate albums of Eloy, but if there would be a boxset of them, I would definitely buy. 🤓 Some other groups/bands that deserve a decent boxset to be released: Nektar, Supertramp, and Rammstein.
All great choices - I would go for all of those - Phil
How about a ozark mountain daredevils complete CD boxset
I hope there is a David Bowie 40th anniversary box set of Let's Dance. It was his biggest selling album. And I'm sure there is a plethora of items they can through into a set from that era. A blu ray copy of the Series Moonlight concert for instance....
Hi Graeme, I am sure that would be very popular! Phil
Now that Esoteric have issued Family's 'A Song For Me', I'd like to see a box set with all the albums, whistles and bangs.
The Lilac Time need the box set treatment too, as do Michael Head's bands The Pale Fountains/Shack/The Strands.
This does seem an obvious move at some point! Phil :)
Agree Shack nees boxset treatment.
A reissue of 'The Classic Albums Collection ' by Electric Light Orchestra CD box set.
I missed it the first time around.
I have that and will do an unboxing video soon. It really in one of the best. Phil
Ian Gillian Band. The rest of the Ozzy era Sabbath , although I think we won’t be getting them. Lastly I would love a Tommy Bolin career spanning boxset.
Hi David, thank you for watching. I would love all of those. Phil :)
Pink Floyd Dark Side Of The Moon 50th Anniversary, John Lennon, Mind Games, 50th Anniversary, Wings London Town Archive Editions, Wings Back To The Egg Archive Editions, Rush Signals, 40th Anniversary Edition.
Thank you for watching and sharing your choices. Phil
i would like: the sweet cd box set that's only released in europe to be released in the u.s., maiden japan: released on cd as bonus tks on the 95 killer's / castle cd set (but release as whole show), anything dave clark 5: can't find anything here, re-release the shangri-la's remastered with better sound quality, patsy cline mca box set: it almost had all of her output. unfortunately her masters were lost in the universal fire, alice in chains - live facelift: 1st released on vhs in 91 then on vinyl for record store day. i would like the whole show on cd & dvd.
Hi, thank you for watching and sharing your thoughts and wish list. Really interesting and a wide range of styles! Phil :)
A Hookfoot box set would be fantastic. Great band. Out of print except duff cds.
A Nic Jones box set please, all his studio albums , rarities, live performances and the documentary the Enigma of Nic Jones. He deserves it
U.K. studio and live album and Beggars Opera
Vinyl reissue ~ Neil Young & Crazy Horse - Ragged Glory …Jellyfish - Belly Button… Lemon Jelly - Lost Horizons..The Beatles - Mono Box 2014…
Hi Rod, thank you for watching and sharing your thoughts - Phil :)
Complete Purple, Lizzy , Man, ACDC, Who . the EMI hawkwind albums with unreleased stuff.
The Doors complete Roundhouse concerts 1968... well I can dream can't I?
We can ! Great choice - Phil
I was there.
Take care.
@@nickfryearson1531 I think it was Marsall but a friend says Orange
@@jimwood1968CDcollectorCAVE Ah brilliant! I think you are correct. The Doors sounded a bit thin live, except at the roundhouse where they were just incredible. Thanks for the reply... and I'm not jealous that you were at one of the finest concert of all time! All the best.
Blood , Sweat, and Tears. Never seen a box set.
Good choice 👍
Sorry a re release of rare cult box set be cool x🏴👍🏼
And Status Quo
Steve Morse era Deep Purple box set .
That would be brilliant - Phil
Came up with 3 more that I would certainly purchase would they ever appear . I'd love to see box sets fo All About Eve , Ultravox , and Clan Of Xymox .
Hi Kevin, All About Eve would be most welcome. I think Scarlet and Other Stories is my favourite of theirs - Phil
A great Supertramp boxset has never been released
Totally agree a Supertramp Box Set would be great 👍
For me it’s Neil Young Archives Volume 1. Impossible to find nowadays.
I would love to see that made available again. Phil
Hi Max, Headboys, I loved them! Oh yes I would love that as well. City Boy would be great and Bob Seger… just do it ! Phil :)
Hi, thank you for watching and sharing your very exhaustive list, wow 🤩 there are some great bands and ideas there! Phil
Hi Brian, thank you for watching and sharing your excellent list and box set ideas. Phil
I would like to see an "Eloy" box set
Second request so far ! Phil :)
Thank you for watching and sharing your choices - Phil
Hi Phil: I would love to see CD reissues of the albums from the Original Mirrors (Original Mirrors (1980) and
Heart-Twango & Raw-Beat (1981) with bonus tracks such as an Italy-only single "Flying"). 😄. - Heather
Hi Heather, thank you for watching. Niche is good 👍 great choices ! Phil
:)
Stackridge, Greenslade, Camel, Gryphon, The Church, Robyn Hitchcock...
Great choices ! Phil :)
It would be nice to have a CD box set of badlands 3 CDs plus unreleased stuff
Hi John, I would love to see that as well. Phil
Nice one Phil we can ope
Nice one Phil we can hope
Maybe the early vinyls from Barclay James Harvest. Would love to have them as new.
That would be good 👍 thank you for watching - Phil
A box set of singer songwriter Clifford t ward
Great suggestion! Phil :)

Anthrax - Spreading the Disease
Black Sabbath - debut album Super Deluxe
Black Sabbath - Tony Martin era albums (I'll believe it when I have them)
Kiss - Sonic Boom
Kiss - Symphony: Alive IV
Led Zeppelin - Celebration Day
Led Zeppelin - Mothership
Ozzy - Scream
Ozzy - Ozzmosis
Ozzy - Down to Earth
Van Halen - Balance

How about Camel & Caravan
Camel would be great but Caravan have been covered a couple of time already. - Phil
@@NowSpinningMagazine yes , sorry found the Caravan box sets on eBay, but we need more Camel, let’s hope!
