One of my all-time favorite ship classes. I loved this design from the moment I saw it in Star Trek III. And I loved that it stayed in use for so long, even during the Dominion War.
The Excelsior, an evolution of the Constitution's design style. While I will always think that the refit Connie is the best looking ship in Trek, the Excelsior is definitely a great looking ship. Aside from looking great, in-universe the design was in service for a very long time. Starfleet appears to have built hundreds of the type, presumably upgrading older ships and updating the design itself to remain relevant long past the NX-2000's original launching.
The Excelsior is not one of my favorite but it’s still a sleek looking ship. Leonard Nimoy called the Excelsior the “Japanese version” of the Enterprise and compared it to a katana sword if I can recall (if I’m wrong I’m none the wiser) and watching how this ship evolved and the fact that the Enterprise B was an Excelsior class (refit of course! 🙄) was special. Also having the Lakota on DS9 was awesome and growing up as a kid I use to love seeing the Excelsior class be side by side next to the Enterprise D. This ship was a true workhorse and I’m happy to have flown it on STO 😊🖖🏾💯.
Always loved the Excelsior; the curves, the contours, the longevity... Now, if we can get this loving treatment for a few more ships/classes, (the Valdore/Mogai, Defiant and Akira would be my top choices, hint hint wink)
Gorgeous, stunning, incredible...what an amazing showcase of one of my favorite classes of ships in Star Trek! 🖖
Always loved the Excelsior design
I agree what a beautiful ship design

Stan Lee would have been proud. For those who don't know Marvel that was his favorite word.
The most successful ship in Starfleet history.
By God, that's a big ship” -McCoy “Not so big as her captain I think” -Scotty

The Excelsior is my favorite spaceship EVER!!! ❤❤❤
A classic. Perfect part of the fleet.
Forget the Constitution, Galaxy and Odyssey
This the Excelsior is the best ship class starfleet ever made

She has style, elegance...'The Great Experiment' that failed and became something more. She became a Clydesdale among the Stallions.
The most beautiful ship in the fleet.
If my grandmother had wheels, she'd be a wagon.
Refit is my favourite.
My god, that's a big ship......

They simply don't build ships like this anymore :)
