    U said unconscious and not breathing , thn we have to give breaths, by opening airway.
    Didnt mention about pulse, if pulse is not present thn we hav to start compressions.
    Am i correct sir.

      Chest compressions is the 1st priority as to save the brain from irreversible hypoxic injury. She collapsed in a shopping complex and hence checking and confirming the carotid pulse by a layperson most probably will be inaccurate. And as the patient is unconscious that means in a unresponsive state chance is that it's a cardiac arrest therefore chest compressions first by which circulation to the brain ( and O2 in blood HB ) will maintained; later rescue breaths .As CPR stands for Circulation 1st.
      R for Respiration next. In the mean while ask for help( call ambulance).

    I thot it was open the airway.
    No need to open airway first b4 doing chest compression sir.🤔
    Or is it bcos all CAB's included in chest compression.

      Airway patency is also important . But as the oxygen is circulated to every cell of the body through hemoglobin in blood circulation should be established first and then immediately the patency of airway should be looked after.
