When my youngest daughter was born with a hole in the upper chamber of her heart. We had so many things to go through. It was very hard on us. My heart goes out to you both. Any procedures are hard on the parents. God bless you both

This is how brazilian parents are and it's so refreshing to see! My parents used to go to a church where they met a coyote from Brazil and had 2 teenage sons.. they always sat in front of us, and the parents were so affectionate with their sons during the service it was so sweet:)

My grand daughter was born with a cleft mouth and she had a procedure done to remove it. She did very well and now you would never know she had cleft mouth. My daughter is a wonderful mother and she puts her daughter first in everything they do. Her health is her primary concern and responsibility.
Just like you are doing with your baby boy. I'm proud of both of you for being so attentive and seeing a specialist about your baby boy's health.

Yes I noticed that also. What a loving father and mother. This brought years to my eyes. It hurts to see your baby hurt. I remember watching my 14 month old son getting his lip stitched because he fell and got a small cut, 2 stitches if I remember correctly. I mostly remember him screaming while the ER doctor stitched his lip, he was strapped down and I couldn't comfort or hold him. 😢😢 God bless you all!
@@donnaakers4835 Oh my! I couldn't even handle the shots at the pediatrician's. We'd walk out and I'd be the only one with red puffy eyes. I couldn't bare him crying.
@brendasmith1533 Yes that was hard too, my sister always made her husband hold their son because she couldn't handle it. As parents we want to take their pain and bear it for them. If only we could but that probably wouldn't be good for them, it's a part of life that they have to learn to deal with. 😔
So grateful that his tongue was able to be fixed and is healing well. Praying for Junio's procedure to go well whenever that happens. Praise God!
Don't let anyone make you feel guilty for using a bottle when needed. I nursed my last two children and bottle-fed my first two. They all turned out wonderfully.
Exactly what I wanted to say. I breastfed my children but understand that that is not the best option for everyone for various personal or medical reasons. The main thing is that the pediatrician is monitoring their weight gain. My youngest had to have this procedure but the pediatrician missed it until my baby was 3 and wasn’t talking, the speech therapist got involved and immediately diagnosed the problem and recommended a snip of the frenulum. It was that Christmas 2011 when my baby first said "mama". That moment still brings tears to my eyes. 🥹 That was my baby’s turning point, nonstop talking and conversations since then. 🙌🏽❤️
If you need to increase your supply...fenugreek and alfalfa supplements will take care of you. I'm also a nurse and a mom, and it made a huge difference for me. From maybe 5 oz to 13-15 oz every 4 hrs, which allowed me to freeze some for future use and feed her as well. If you need the doses let me know. I'll send you all the info.

I admire you stating your feelings about breastfeeding and mother's milk/formula. Never be swayed by others. You must do what is the most healthy for the baby to keep him safe.

Tongue and or lip tied, happens often. You are so lucky to have a care provider that recognizes this condition and willing to treat it! I feel for you guys, as a parent we don’t want to see our children experiencing any kind of pain!

La Leche League is an organization that is international. They help women with breast-feeding. Maybe you can look them up online and contact a local leader. They can come to the home and help you free. They helped me with my breast-feeding of twins so much. You can get your milk supply back up and the baby can nurse successfully.
Please stick with it! After the first few weeks, it is so rewarding. You just have to get over that hump. It is amazing for them and I believe it will help your trauma heal too. It helps your body continue to produce oxytocin, which is the bonding hormone, and it helps you relax too!
Watching Junio rushing to pick Henrique up after the tongue tie procedure made me tear up. You are both great parents. Always wanting better for our children is something all parents should strive for. You are both great examples.
Hearing Henrique cry during the procedure made me cry😢 I’m grateful he’s doing better and eating. Praying for sweet Henrique🙏🙏🙏

Wow I had the same problem with Leslee my second child and my oldest girl Daneil couldn't feed Sarah well no Dr. checked but both talk fine but Leslee couldn't suck the bottle I got different nipples. The pharmacy was more help. Iam sooo glad you got help for little Henrique and Brazil is lead the world in this. Wow .I'm so glad all is ok .I love watching your videos. Please keep it up when you are able .I feel like a family member .and Junio can you get this done? I may have missed if you asked. Love to you all Henrique just gets more handsome.
It always hurts mom and dad too when a child needs any procedure done. Henrique is just adorable and it was good to get the tongue fixed very early in life. Thanks for the great videos of your growing family. You are a great daddy and will be a wonderful role model for your son.
How wonderful that this doctor allows you to videotape and all the wonderful information he shared here in this video… As a retired speech language pathologist how happy this makes me that this information is getting out there!

It is. I'm also a nurse and it's not something that was discussed in nursing school and it's not an emergency so I wouldn't see it in the ER. However, I had mine done when I was in my 20s and it had to be cut twice bc he didn't cut under my tongue far enuff, so when I went back in a week..... he's like we need to cut a bit more. Now I had been ok with viscous lidocaine which I called back and had my Dr call it in so I didn't need to take the pain meds. Now the 2nd time holy sh*t, when the numbing meds wore off, the pain was insane!! I called the in call Dr and had him call in some stronger pain meds. He had told me he had to cut a few nerves the 2nd time so it may be a bit more painful. I've got a high tolerance, but geez it was bad. I'm glad I had it done, but it was brutal the second time.
You absolutely did the right thing! My 33 year old son had the same thing as a baby! If babies cannot drink enough milk, they scream because they are hungry!! He will be a much happier baby! 💙🙏🏼

When I was told that our son was tongue tied after his birth, I had no idea what that was!! I just couldn't understand why he wouldn't nurse. Thankfully, the Doctor knew what the problem was & took care of it before we were released to go home❤ I was able to successfully nurse him after that. You are doing a great job by making sure your little angel is still getting your breast milk by pumping....which is not easy to do!

As a speech theorist, I'm so happy to see you had this done. He won't remember this happening. I see students who are in elementary school Tk-K who have the same issue. Doing early intervention is best. Glad to hear that your son is eating more. 🎉😊❤

My younger sister was born tongue-tied. Her's was fixed when she was 4. But I remember when she was a baby, unable to stick her tongue out. And her speech was different. Before she was unable to say my name. She called me Nene. So glad for you to have discovered and had it taken care of when he was little....❤

This a such a common problem. Baby will be much more comfortable. All babies should be checked before going home, because the procedure is so easy to solve. Well done for spotting it in your baby boy.

My first grandchild was very tongue tied and his upper lip also , and had a terrible time sucking. I am so glad this problem can be solved. After he was helped He was sore and sensitive in his mouth for a few days, but the child dentist used the laser and there is no blood. He does this to newborns and said to get new baby’s to him so he can look at their mouths . My grandson had a miserable 6 months of trying to suck before he was helped!

These things happen no need to panic it’s scary but fix able and fast. I had a grand baby with a cleft lip and pallet that was big surgery and 6 months okd she didn’t even weight 10 pounds. Yourbaby is young but don’t panic you are very lucky to have the means to to fix things and all will be well. I worked I. A Dr office where all of these things done and he will breast feed if you want after all done. Hurts you worse than him! Breast feed him now he will latch and do great give him the breast quit pumping and put to breast.

Now this is a very caring and knowledgeable doctor! I’m so glad you are breastfeeding cause it’s the best milk for your sweet baby. The more you nurse, the more milk your body will make. I nursed four of my children.

This is so common- nothing to worry about- and yes, the worst part is the stretching. Not because it hurts them, but because they hate it so much. Whether you nurse or not, it’s nothing to feel bad about. You have to do what you feel most comfortable doing. The hardest part about a first baby that you’ve wished for as long as you have is that it turns out to be nothing like what you expected and it’s kind of a shock. It gets so much better!
