actually describing what you did to the exhaust, what you took out.. you're a genius. there are a million exhaust videos on youtube with no descriptions whatsoever. very well done.
That sounds very, very nice for this car.I say this as a current owner of a 2014 Fusion Energi and, former owner of a 2013 Mustang GT that had Roush Axle back muffles on his car.
I bought my 2017 Sport in Dec 2016 & I've been searching for a sound that's not to fake sounding but gives a good sound. I think you just gave me and option. I might have to drive in from Fremont and check out your shop. It sounds awesome
Awesome!! Love it. I recently bought a 2016 2.0 ecoboost Fusion. Already adding some bolt-ons and got a tuner. Looking forward to an exhaust setup. My try to go the same route you did but specific to the 2.0 exhaust layout
@@joeg.1119 because he doesn't have the sync 3 nav touchscreen option. My 16 titanium fusion has the single analog speedometer & a screen on each side in the gauge cluster.. you need the touchscreen..

That's my favorite exhaust on turbo cars. I currently have a resonator and muffler delete on my turbo volkwagen. Than I quieted it down with a vibrant resonator. That would been a good option for you fusion also. Vibrant makes awesome ultra quiet resonators. Good quality too. I've had this combo on 3 different turbo cars. Cut it all off and install vibrant resonators. I currently have a 3" catless downpipe too. That should be your next mod. It really beings the turbo whistle sound to the exhaust. Mine doesn't have any bad smells. Hardly notice. As long as your car runs great it's no problem.
Thanks for the video(s) man - sounds great. Did you use most of the stock 2.25" pipe? Or did you get 2.5" pipe installed from the cats? I'm thinking of doing something similar soon.
I have a 2017 Fusion Sport, was surprised to see the base radio in your car. Yes, the lack of a dedicated tach with Sync 3 is puzzling. But having come from a 2016 Fusion that had the "old" sync, I would not be without the touchscreen at this price point (my sticker was a bit over $37,000)
This sounds badass. Awesome you are from the Sac area as well. Just got a 2017 Sport as well and looking to do some upgrades. Any way to message you directly with some questions?
Im in Sac also and LOVE MufflerTech too. I have an 18 FSS and I've been looking at doing some sort of exhaust set up but don't like a lot of what I hear (too ricey, even my ricers never sounded ricey). Is the tru-x a X pipe or a X pipe muffler? If its just an X pipe I was thinking about having MT weld on my Greddy Evo2 mufflers and then add the X pipe? I had these Greddy's on a Lexus GS300 ( I Know completely different engine and sound, but the mufflers make a really great sound even on ricers) and with the X pipe would hope that it would sound even better? Thoughts???
i had this on my car for a day and it felt like i lost 75 torque and hp. it did not pull the same with this magnaflow on. everyone told me it was the magnaflow restricting the turbo. cut the magnaflow out and replaced with 2.5" pipes. no more drone and i regained my power and more. feels like i gained much more power
I’m new to the sports car world. Actually just got my fusion sport. Just so I’m understanding, you sawed off where the resonator was and had it welded again?
Another muffler worth considering is the 12468. It's 5''x8'' Oval Dual/ Dual. Muffler length and width are different and will likely change the sound a bit.
AG, can you get the part number for the X-pipe Magnaflow Resonated True X-Pipe? Or get with you exhaust shop and let me know what they did and I'll get it done to my '17 Fusion Sport here in Utah!!! I'd like to hear it driving on the road/highway, rather than just in a parking lot... Also, you keep switching back and forth between terms; muffler/resonator. Which one is it? Why did you get a crossover one? Having each pipe go straight back would be better wouldn't it?
