- How hard would TF2 be if instead of one hand being on the mouse and the other on the keyboard, you had two separate people controlling each? Well, that's the challenge we wanted to try: player 1 controls the arms (mouse) and player 2 controls the legs (keyboard). Despite being harder than you'd expect, this was still a lot of fun!

For those wondering how this was possible, TheWhat and I met up IRL a month ago to hang out and record some stuff. This was something we thought would be fun that's only possible if we're in the same room. If you want to see more, we ended up recording another video or two's worth of content with this! Just testing the waters to see if this is a concept people are interested in before doubling the time I spend editing.

The most engaging playthrough I've ever had of any game was when I shared controls with my buddy on Bioshock 2 on Hard. One of us moved, shot, and swapped weapons/plasmids, and the other aimed, fired plasmids, healed, and interacted. At first it seemed like chaos but after about 30 minutes we were quietly playing through the entire game like one mind. Genuinely the best experience I've ever had on a game and I'm glad to see this style of video drop. (Yes, one of us aimed and the other had to shoot, it was mind torture at first, and then it subconsciously molded into habit)

not really. games aren't a unique workload that can't be parallelized, it's just that it's easier to design a completely synchronous game. mostly, because the engines hadn't caught up.

Me and my boyfriend tried this about a month ago now. I've never played on a keyboard in my life, and he has for a long while. So him handling aiming while I had to try to walk good did not go well- it was hilarious though, especially when we tried rocket jumping

Ive read about people with alien hand syndrome having basically this exact problem when playing games, basically the neural bridge between the left and right hemispheres of their brain is damaged/severed via an accident/condition.
This means that instead of functioning as one unit, the speech cortex (your thoughts/capacity to use words) is independent to your impulse center.
Basically their aiming hand wont usally agree with their movement hand, which is exactly what happens in this video!
