Those are the loudest electric drums I've ever heard...
I initially thought they must be rubber pads, not mesh heads... but they are mesh. Weird.
I've tried many kinds over 15 years, and even mesh are really loud. Eventually I gave up and bought a real kit and rented a rehearsal room. My TD-6 was terrible but that was 2005, so I thought everything would be better in 2019 but no. It's still too loud for apartments in any case.
In the videos of his I’ve watched the drum volume seems low so unless it’s just preference he should raise that or the sensitivity on them

I had a house mate underneath my apartment and he had an electric set too. Luckily for me I play the bagpipes.
When I needed sleep he was playing his drum set and when he needed his sleep I played my bagpipes, after a few months we called it even

@@emphasis4332 Yeah well, woman aren't that interested in music in general i guess, some are tho but i never met one irl that goes in depth about music and not just i like this genre or that band and maybe some songs bit that's it.
@@jeroen0011 seems like you live in a narrowed space or idk😂 as a woman musician I mostly see women here in my country in music tbh, doesn't matter whether it's classical music, jazz or pop there are many women that have been living with it and practicing ever since they were kids lol.

He’s not actually playing the last fill, hi hat sounds are playing but he’s not hitting them lol
It’s the backing track. I prefer sounds like shakers, hats or some sort of rhythmic loop over a pounding click in my ear. Next time you have to play to tracks during a live show, try this. You’ll thank me later 🖖

Holy shit bro I’ve been playing for 10 years, have a really strong foot technique. I’ve always seen dudes play that last fill you hit and had my mind absolutely blown and this angle just totally cleared it up for me. Bout to learn that Fersher!!!!
Bro you REALLY need to fix your grip, cause when you try to play faster stuff that’s a one way ticket to carpal tunnel
Gotta be looser and not so tense, and try to keep all of your fingers in the same place right next to each other, not with the index in another area code compared to the other fingers.
Thx bro! I haven’t had any problems so far. Been playing drums for 20 years. This is a poor representation of how I actually grip my sticks. This was just heat of the moment, improvisation. Not sure why it came out looking so tight.

Ngl you're a good drummer but your technique is gonna fuck up your hands and back. Try relaxing yourself, don't hunch so close to the drums, keep your index beside your middle finger, loosen your hand.

Agreed but it depends on the style. 16ths on the HiHat are much easier with a looser grip. Not sure it makes much difference with this pattern.

You’re making contact with the people pads but the way you hit them would not produce the same sound I think. A lot of problem with electric drum sets, they ruin technique.

I had a Roland kit and it was so loud, still. Neighbors in 2 apartments I lived in could hear it very clearly. The cymbals were the worst. Sounded like hammering.
It sounds okay, but you should really fix your grip and loosen up. It’ll help you later on when you start trying to go faster and do more complicated rhythms
