@myanabull you´re not a real fan shut up asshole, i never was skeptical, reunion albums are rarely very good but we knew they were record only when they feel the ideas and band are for something interesting and not repeat old ideas
This song (and the previous one) give me happiness. This band WAS my late teen/early 20's soundtrack. They were my happy place. They were what kept me going no matter how shit my home life was. They kept me going with their powerful and varied musical style. To see them making such an incredible comeback gives me shivers and makes me weep with joy.
Wow. This is pure, classic, vintage Faith No More, from start to finish. That guitar solo at the end….blows me away. Can´t wait for the álbum to come out. Yeaaaaah!
I know why I will aways love my Faith no more...one of the greatest bands and so special.so many years since my youth you showed me that you are more than the real thing!
I have bought every album by FNM while Mike Patton was the singer and love every one, including this one. I bought their last album before Sol Invictus the year my son was born, and he is now about to turn 18. Kind of nostalgic :) Great job guys, missed you!
gnarly!!!! Looking forward to the album, and live shows!!! Killer!!! in their 50's FNM have more punch than a lot of bands in their 20's!! Thank you for the music!
Didn't care for this album the first time I heard it. Greatly appreciated that they went out and gave it a shot regardless. But now it seems like every time a single track from this album comes up I find myself liking it after all. Hope they find it in themselves to go for one more album.
everything we love about the hardcore scene of the 90s is here in one songheavy Metal cover punk soul funky beats rap mouth singing and keep rocking boys
There will never be another "Angel Dust" or "The Real Thing", this is "Sol Invictus"... If you can't get over the past, you will never embrace the future! This is mother fu#king Faith No More! This is the band that inspired me to be a musician. This song is amazing, and I don't want to compare it to their past albums. Each album they have ever done offers you something different. Introduce Yourself sounded nothing like The Real Thing, The Real Thing sounded nothing like Angel Dust, Angel Dust sounded nothing like KFAD, and KFAD sounded nothing like Album Of The Year. Sol Invictus will be the same, if you are truly into Faith No More, they like to create music and not follow trends, not even their own. Bring on the album, cause this fan cannot wait for every track on it!
Cymatics- the Science of SOUND- frequency & shapes. Sol Invictus alludes to Saturn worship- the Black Cube. Its everywhere in our face & always has been. Thank God for the Great Awakening. These Monsters🦎greatest FEAR has come True. We’re kicking Lizard ass!🦁🦊
Advice please - I love the first two FNM albums and also The Real Thing ( the absolute best for me ) , Angel Dust and most of King For A Day. I've gone into Mike Patton's other stuff like Peeping Tom and Tomahawk , and bits of Mr Bungle and the Executioners, but it doesn't do it for me in the same way. Any suggestions on albums that I am really missing out on ?? Thanks
Tomahawk is the one thing Mike Patton has done that is closest to FNM. If you don't like it, there won't be much in his other efforts that will match your taste.
theou818 Irony is a dead scene is the album you a re talking about. I'd also recomend ***** to check other bands of that style like "afraid to speak in public", "6:33" or some projects of kevin martin
Check out a band called "Shaolin Death Squad". Particularly"Good Mourning," and "Waiting to Desintegrate" sound very FNM. Patton is kind of their idol...
haha... complaning about the sound?! Man you're listing it on RUclips. 128mp3. Get youreself a vinyl or high quality file and see how it realy sounds ;-)
MARVEL Comics highlighted their comback on the front of their page. It's been 6-7 years now and this song has not played in any of the Marvel movies since then. Who dropped the ball on this? Fans... FANS!!!! Fans should be making fan made videos using marvel clips with this song.
God this song is sublime. It's a perfect conglomeration of the early stuff and king for a day vibes. Welcome back, it's like time paused 20 years for their zany music to just stroll back in unfettered and unfazed with the rest of the music world.
Reminds me of "Angel Dust," and I can't believe I'm saying that. I think I like this new guitarist. So psyched for the new album, and double extra psyched to see them in concert for the first time!
Welcome back FTM - You have a place in modern society. It is right over there in the actual artist corner, you will not leave us again. I am so glad they didn't come back sounding as off as Metallica (Saint Anger - dressing up as skaters to appeal to the new age) they kept real and themselves. You are faith no more - you do not try to fit in - it is others that try to fit in with you.
That piano melody in the chorus is incredible.
Hell yeah it is
Check out "Pimpf" by Depeche Mode.
Also the sustained guitar line before the piano part is quite a jewel
If you're coming back, this is how you do it.
Right on! Welcome back, Faith No More. We've missed you.
sunrise is here to save us now. awesome lyrics. way to mix up fnm. genius.
this is how you fucking do it, save my soul and bring tears to my eyes, arrrrgh, hell!!
If only jesus would repsond to your comment and said: "I'll keep that in mind"
Aber voll!
2:16 This part... ♥ The 90's didn't disappear!
EXACTLY!!
"You just don't turn off the 90's"
+bilrogar never ever. And you turn it up to eleven.
Same love it
Yeees, baby.
Love you implying Faith No More made the sound of the 90's. ;D
Pattons vocals in the background at 3:00 sends chills up my spine. The guys still got it, the man is a God!
Love that chant.so sick/otherwordly
As I read this I got chills. Hell yes
It’s haunting 👏🏻
I was mega skeptical of their new stuff being any good but this kicks everything's ass. Patton sounds great and Mike Bordin is a friggin monster
@myanabull please
@@Dewitt-b8n If ever there was an album that gave meaning to the term 'audio slop', this is it .
Why would you be skeptical? They have always put out amazing albums.
@myanabull you´re not a real fan shut up asshole, i never was skeptical, reunion albums are rarely very good but we knew they were record only when they feel the ideas and band are for something interesting and not repeat old ideas
@myanabull no, you´re alone in that. go away!
The best band of the universe is back! Love the chorus, there are Patton's signatures everywhere..
Definitely! Also the middle eastern type feel to the vocals he does. He can incorporate any style into any genre it’s amazing
Sounds like the King for a Day took a bunch of Angel Dust.
Fawking sweet.
That would be the real thing
@@Dewitt-b8n And it became the album of the year.
Middle-Eastern keyboard/synth fill during chorus literally inspires chills every time I hear it
Thought I was the only one it literally makes all your hair stand on end, fuckin divine.
This is why Billy Gould is one of my biggest influences as a bass player.
Fun fact: Billy Gould also plays for Brujeria.
@@amberturdcoloringbook1733nevrr heard of th band, hey thanky!
This is possibly one of faith no more's best songs!!!👍
This song (and the previous one) give me happiness. This band WAS my late teen/early 20's soundtrack. They were my happy place. They were what kept me going no matter how shit my home life was. They kept me going with their powerful and varied musical style. To see them making such an incredible comeback gives me shivers and makes me weep with joy.
They were my comfort too
💯
Thank you Mike, Jon, Roddy and Billy for staying hard core and not slowing down the pace or the heavy hitting👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
Absolutely, here's to Mike getting his mental health issues together for himself and a chance at giving us what we all want 🙏🤘
They are amazing players and writers too
You only thanked one Mike
Mikes
GO go GO go GO go GO go!!
Blown away - I didn't think the new album could be THIS GOOD after so many years.... friggin awesome...
This could easily be a single off Angel Dust or King for a Day. Essential FNM sound right here.
Exacto, esta canción tiene una melodía como en los 90's como dices al álbum ángel dust, pero con una voz más madura de Patton
No
This song should be in the Soundtrack of The Boys. The vibe totally matches the show.

Not a bad thought actually.
Just finished watching the series and came across this comment. Wasn't expecting it
This is fantastic! Faith No More has been seriously missed.
Well this certainly is a promising first taste of new FNM material. Welcome back, guys! We've missed you.
You mean second taste? Right?
What's the first?
Thanks, y'all. Mike Patton is my hero.
izaac held I agree with you.
Quite possibly the best band In the land
love the mighty bass sound on this track
Billy is bad ass :D
faith no more is back with "sol invictus" and this album is simply perfect !
Wow. This is pure, classic, vintage Faith No More, from start to finish. That guitar solo at the end….blows me away. Can´t wait for the álbum to come out. Yeaaaaah!
Esto es rock, Rock con esencia de los 90, gracias Faith no More lo máximo carajo , escuchandola desde 🇵🇪
I know why I will aways love my Faith no more...one of the greatest bands and so special.so many years since my youth you showed me that you are more than the real thing!
Roddy's keyboards own that track #comingbacktosavemusic
And its actually recorded on real piano instead of keyboards like on previous records, which give a more realistic feel to it
It's a great jam. It really reminds me of Mosley era FNM, but with Patton. I can't wait for this record to drop. It's going to impress alot of us.
Best song! The chorus is amazing! The Piano in a suspense touch.
Excelente música!
This is the food for us, the 90s kids! Thank you FNM, AMEN!!!
One of the best songs I've heard by anyone in a long time. That Mike Patton...
The music industry is much better for having Faith No More back. This is the tonic it needs to save it from shitting all over itself. Awesome...
hahaha nicelly put,.....you should write more
Hell yes
Good music exists regardless, you just have to dig for it more, Internet is the real enemy here unfortunately
Fantastic.....sounds like they never stopped ...What a return of FNM ....great track...
Favorite song off of Sol Invictus!!!
I can't decide between this, Matador, and Separation Anxeity.
I have bought every album by FNM while Mike Patton was the singer and love every one, including this one. I bought their last album before Sol Invictus the year my son was born, and he is now about to turn 18. Kind of nostalgic :) Great job guys, missed you!
Gets better with each listen. Classic FNM brought forward with a 2015 sound. Drums. Bass. Guitar. Piano. And vocals. All great
This is awesome, kinda like very early Chuck era dark sounding with a lot of Angel Dust styles, love it !
gnarly!!!! Looking forward to the album, and live shows!!! Killer!!! in their 50's FNM have more punch than a lot of bands in their 20's!! Thank you for the music!

Patton did it again!
Actually, Bill did it again ;)
Damn straight. He is so talented. He's my superhero!
I love Faith No More music.
Sounds like classic FNM. Hell yes.
What a concept for a band. One of the best bands no doubt

FNM are back!!!
what i love are the real thing oriented vocals of the chorus! good song!
FNM my fucking heart band is fucking back!!! NOW THEY'R REALLY BACK ON TRACK!
Can't wait to see you guys on Sunday!!!!!! xoxo
Should see their session in Radio 1 Rock Show..perfect execution for this song better than the album version
Agreed, I watched those session videos so much. Especially the Bacharach cover
Sooo goood...I've. Been waiting. For 18 years..going to see them in portland Oregon. ..so happy
...and they just. CAN'T. FAIL!!!
YES! YES! GO! WOO! BLAST OFF! YES!
Only criticism I have is the drum mix, kick sounds a lil damp and snare could be crisper in my opinion. Sound great live though!
UrbanExplorer1000
Has nothing to do with the tempo. He's just saying the mixing is a bit off for his taste.
reminds me a little bit of the way steve albini mixes drums
Could be RUclips compression. Whatever format we proles get to listen to always has something to ruin the artists original intent.
looks like we have a badass in here
haha... complaning about the sound?! Man you're listing it on RUclips. 128mp3. Get youreself a vinyl or high quality file and see how it realy sounds ;-)
This song sounds more like Faith No More than either of their last two albums. Amazing!
This return makes me happy ,welcome back:D
Happy happy happy. Welcome back FNM. Dont leave us again.....
This has to be my favourite FNM song of all time
Sounds like old school faith no more! We care alot with the real thing. Awesome!

The album hasn't been released yet, but just this song already made it worth the band's return. :)
They are Back, and not going anywhere. Great to Hear a New Studio Material from them
Mind blown at something like this coming out in 2015. I had lost faith in music these days.
qwerty6801 faith no more?
This is awesome, I can't wait to hear this whole album.
Im not sold on Motherfucker at all, but THIS...THIS IS excellent!! Hope the new album is more of this and less of the 1st single.
please
ebeka Please what?
Frank Graziano "more of this and less of the 1st single."
ebeka Got yeah, first single had me worried this one has me excited.
I'm very familiar with fnm's random sound/concept of the first single, but it was painfully simple naive.
I'm just loving this.
Best sound this album....TOP freak sound.
So exciting!! Love it, can't wait to hear the rest of the album! Been waiting sooooo long for this!!
fuck i was waiting for this for soooooo long !
Just love it...and the whole album. Welcome back FNM.
Mike is a fuckin' BEAST!
Welcome back gentlemen.
Finally! I can actually play this one on my radio show without getting thrown off the air haha!
Reminds me of "Angel Dust," and I can't believe I'm saying that. I think I like this new guitarist. So psyched for the new album, and double extra psyched to see them in concert for the first time!
**smashing the repeat button a thousand times**
Cannot stop listening .....Amazing.
Really wish they'd get back together and make some new music. This is already five years old!
We have to wait for a little longer now with Mr. Bungle reactivated.
i wish the same thing
Great song. Lived it live the other night in Sydney too. Welcome back FNM.
Loved it live :)
'Aint no grave gonna hold this body down'
If that doesn't makes you smile
No grave's holding faith no more down
OMG!!!!!!!!!! They're back !!! Hell yeah!!! Great song....
the album cover for "Sol Invictus" is so damn fucking sick.

I don't like FNM, it's not my genre... But, they are wonderful! Mike is legend!
Vive Faith no more et surtout à son unique chanteur Mike Patton!
Fuck yeah! Also, am I the only one who notices this distant Tomahawk sound/vibe to this?
Loved it from the live clips I had already heard, but the studio version is even better. Wow! Sounds like an Angel Dust/KFAD mix. Outstanding!
don't be too high. realize this is a come back by older musicians.
damn good if you ask me
This song reminds me past golden years back in 90s especially the piano parts are great moments. sheer gem!
