A lot of comments are along the lines of "how can a mother or grandmother want to inflict this to their own child"... This is the terrifying power of trauma repetition... Those who undergo a traumatic experience and don't have the chance to psychologically process it will repeat it and pass it down to next generations... The mothers and grabdmothers themselves had gone through that horror, underwent a gruesome violation with no explanation whatsoever, were lifelong deprived of an important and natural part of their physical and emotional experience, and never got to see their own pain seen and legitimated... They themselves were not actually aware of what was done to them. This is the power of trauma repetition, until it's surrounded by silence. Once someone starts speaking up, testifying it, recognizing it, calling it its names, that chain is broken. This is what us therapists help people doing every day all over the world with all sorts of traumatic experiences. If you are in any form of pain that leaves you confused and ashamed, please remind that there is someone who is there to listen, to witness, to stand by you.

Circumcision might have various health benefits, including:
Easier hygiene. Circumcision makes it simpler to wash the penis. However, boys with uncircumcised penises can be taught to wash regularly beneath the foreskin. Decreased risk of urinary tract infections. The risk of urinary tract infections in males is low, but these infections are more common in uncircumcised males. Severe infections early in life can lead to kidney problems later. Decreased risk of sexually transmitted infections. Circumcised men might have a lower risk of certain sexually transmitted infections, including HIV. Still, safe sexual practices remain essential. Prevention of penile problems. Occasionally, the foreskin on an uncircumcised penis can be difficult or impossible to retract (phimosis). This can lead to inflammation of the foreskin or head of the penis. Decreased risk of penile cancer. Although cancer of the penis is rare, it's less common in circumcised men. Also, cervical cancer is less common in the female sexual partners of circumcised men.

This happens in today’s day and age? I don’t even know how to react to this. Being a Shia Muslim, I cannot even imagine any muslim doing this. Why is nobody taking action against these Bohra child abusers. God, Islam or any religion do NOT allow this.
This female Circumcisions or Genital mutilation are also found in pre Islamic Egyptian Female Mummies so this is East African Nubian culture which influenced into shafi madhab school and Egyptian Fatimid Shia islamili schools by scholars from that culture and even it's also found among Ethiopian orthodox Christians and Jews communities from east Africa
I am Muslim too and till this age of 31
I was unaware from this... I am not one of them who follow this ritual but ... its just horrible and painful at the same time I can't even imagine their mental trauma
Don't you muslim still follow very regressive and inhumane practices
@@Aashy_Zis it's not about a specific community... Every community has its own pros and cons itself... But the sad part is people try to dig out others bad parts so that they can't see their own
@@jaydameharkayamkhani3978 every community has some pros and cons that's true and i agree with you but muslim still follow those old centuries inhumane practices for instance in Hinduism long-ago people practice of sati ( widow burning) but see now nobody follow that custom but that's not the case with islam btw, im agnostic so you can point out religion bad practices I'll not be offended but based on facts
@@Aashy_Z appreciate your healthy response, and agreed with your point regarding 'Sati pratha' and I truly believe that education and general awareness is one of the reason behind it.. Unfortunately many of us (Muslims) just follow the orthodox thought process and according to me its just because lack of education and positive environment... I just can give you example of my family that we really don't follow these kind of so called rituals but there are many insane out there who will say Say ki Allah ki raah par chalein... But Quran mein kahin esa kuch aapko milega nhi... Just like other holy books like Geeta, QURAN PAAK insan ko sahi raah dikhata hai unhey takleef toh kbhi nahi deta '' So its really sad for me to see such things
What else can we expect from the worlds most peaceful religion
I am a Muslim. I never heard of this. This is not Islam 😭😭😭
O my Allah what's happening on this earth💔
yes actually, Islam is more about beheading, suicidal bomb blasts, terrorism..........Khatna is nothing in front of those.

G ap ko to wahi pta ho ga jo Indian movies me dikhaya jata hai😂
I felt their pain, what a torture over Gods gift .
Back to roots🕉️🔱 we don't have any compulsory rituals in our religion 🙏
it is not in religion its regional custom not in islam correct yourself
For boys too it is done na ?
It is done only for boys according to Islam....you will find no woman complaining about female circumcision in Saudi Arabia Turkey etc....I don't know why they are doing it here in India 😞😞😞
@S chatterjee No Muslim believes in all Hadeeths because some of the hadeeths are created....Islam has spread all over the world so people do make false hadeeths acc to their culture...Rest Allah knows best but i am a muslim woman my self and also i am a revert ( i converted to Islam by choice Alhamdulillah ) and none of my female friends or their mother have gone through this....
@@Anonymous-lr3xj No women in Saudi Arabia complain about anything, because they'll have the same fate as their princess
@@aleenaprasannan2146 i have a friend from saudi arabia and its a misconseption that arab women are oppressed....I am myself not an arab but Arab women are the real ones that rule in their family....No man in India can treat the woman a way an Arab man treats his wife....I wish to get married to a man like that.....
@@aleenaprasannan2146 Just because they are told to cover in Public doesn't mean they are oppressed i do agree that Saudi used to have some laws earlier that were not derieved from saudi arabia....For example women didn't have a driving license....Think of it Islam had strong female warriors ( read about Khwala bint al-Azwar ) They were amazing amazing horse rider....If Prophet (PBUH) allowed them to ride horses and go to a war why wouldn't Islam allow them basic things like driving a car....and Also Prophet's (PBUH) first wife Hazrat Biwi Khadeejah used to take care of her father's business and she was an intelligent and successful businesswoman....There are so many reverts to Islam and i have talked to them....None of them has circumcised neither did anybody ask them to.....
What were the health implications of this practice?
Implications can include complications during childbirth, anaemia, non-draining of menstrual blood, the formation of cysts and abscesses, keloid scar formation, damage to the urethra resulting in urinary incontinence, dyspareunia (painful sexual intercourse), sexual dysfunction, hypersensitivity of the genital area, infections and increased risk of HIV. Not to forget, mental health issues like long-term depression, anxiety and serious trust issues due to undergoing horrific pain in early childhood by trusted elders.
@@KaticaDemskiWell, they are cutting of sex organs.
Even when done by a professional in a hospital it still is an inhuman practise that takes away from a woman's right to enjoying a significant part of life.
It's cruel and monstrous regardless.
In India toooo😢😢😢😢???
Can't believe we already don't have laws against this
This has me crying...
I can't even imagine that pain...
Actually this is made for boys not the girls right??
Its too much painful even just to read subtitles by muting 😥😥😥😥😥. I will never understand why such things exist.
When i was in class 7 my muslim friend told me about this and i didn't believe her i thought she was lying but 6 years later now that i found the truth it's so bizarre and terrifying i can't explain it i wish i could comfort my friend
A woman used to perform circumcision in Medina. The Prophet (PUBH) said to her: Do not cut severely😔 as that is better for a woman and more desirable for a husband. - Abu Dawud 43:499 (Sahih)
Circumcision is a law for men and a preservation of honor for women😔😢. - Hanbal 5:75 (Sahih/Disputed)
Horrifying to hear that, imagine the pain these women undergo
This painful and shameful act is never approved as society rules and also as Divine law or religion this is my appeal to arrest them all people who ruined many precious beautiful lifes of famales they having much pain then we can feel or understand
The second lady was Aatishi delhi cm,any recognise her.
Speechless
Surprised to know if this kind of cruelty is still happening in this modern world of science...
Takes a lot of strength to talk about all this..
Where do they learn to do something like this‽ It's too scary to even think about!!
They're too courageous and strong!!
Feels bad society still wants to suppress, or kill women's natural desires
I dnt know y people give women more credit for injustice.....every community is different....all cases r individual.one shouldn't see through gender perspective....
