Hi Moran, thank you for the sheer joy your playing gives me. Your brilliant technique and musicianship I take for granted. But it how you communicate from your soul through the voice of your instrument, is what reaches my soul. Thanks, again!
Like Paul Galbraith’s version. I think his high A string makes it brighter overall, but to perform this so well live- nobody has done that on video. Fantastic.
I find his use of a partial capo interesting but no matter how he uses it the tuning of the extra strings on 11 string guitars usually (obviously) relates to the key of the piece. I also have an 11 string though of different design. Usually my 1st 6 strings are at normal guitar pitch except for Renaissance lute music when I tune down the 3rd to F# to allow playing directly from lute tablature. In later music I tune the extra basses diatonically depending on key. In C major (it's "natural" state) I tune 7-11 in downwards by step D,C half step B, step A & Low G. In E major I tune them as D# C#, B, A, G#. Occasionally I tune the 6th and even 5th according to key eg 6= Eb. Of course what Moran does may be very different when using partial capo but perhaps similar when not doing so. The great thing about extended range guitars is they allow so many more possibilities than 6 strings!
for whatever it's worth, I believe his "main 6" are tuned standard but with the G down a half step to F#, making all the (capoed) A to G# back to A movement easier to grab. Didn't notice this until a few watches through.
Very nice! This arrangement would not be possible without the partial capo. If you notice... It makes the left hand much much easier.... Staying within '1st position' for extended periods
I became familiar with this composition through Goran Sollscher's recording of it, so this performance seems too fast to me. I actually think the excessive tempo detracts from the expression of the piece. Just my two cents. The playing is, of course, technically brilliant.
@@nicm1411 Here you go. Much more expressive: ruclips.net/video/PgYnJ19pjKs/видео.html Don't get me wrong - the speed here is impressive but distracting and too much. imho
Very fast ans skillful indeed, but I'm afraid I can't hear any music here, or maybe a reminiscence of Chopin B minor Sonata's Presto? Why not try a little articulation? 🤷♂️
Moran Wasser has a quite staggering level of technical fluency. As so often happens, such prodigious ability tends to make the player play as fast as possible. This rendering is simply way too fast, to the point of blurring and incoherence. For God's sake, Mr. Wasser, play this great piece quite a bit slower, and give the guitar (and the music) time to breathe. Without doubt, you are a great musician, but the maturity of SPACIOUS expression is conspicuous by its absence.
I definitely agree: "The greatest classical guitarist around that no one's heard of."
Stunning performance!
This is absolutely gorgeous! Who the hell is this guy? The greatest classical guitarist around that no one's heard of???
for me he is playing to fast. in violin maybe works, but in guitar i think it sound better bit slow
Who cares about what u and people like u heard😂
absolutely brilliant and the very best of Bach music with excellent technic and nuance. Bravo....Thanks for uploading.
woot the fook I've just woootch? impressive display of skills and musicality
I love all things guitar, and this is gold. Much respect on the fluency of playing, and on the entire commitment of the piece to memory.
Again so fantastic...
Wow... Just plain wow.......
How the hell!??? That's amazing.
Magnificent. Controlled. Fluid. I love this.
El mejor guitarrista de toda la historia...ECEPCIONAL...INIGUALABLE
Grande musicista, eccellente chitarrista, rara perla in un microcosmo oramai ridotto a poche élite
Brilliant. Sensational.
William Rubero: It’s Amazing to play such a difficult piece at that speed.
You are amazing me not only the fastness but the accuracy is super .... Thank you very much sir.

Amazing!
Magnifico!!!!
Amazing interpretation!
Köstlich. !

Interesting transcript. An exquisite technique and impeccable execution. I'd like to buy a CD of the guitarist, if anyone knows or knows one.
If you ever play in the UK let me know where and when.
How can you play so fast and accurately
👏👏👏👏
Perfect!
Dazzling!
Wow!!!!
Wow, sounds like two guitars!
Can you do a video explaining your guitar and your most common tunings?

Потрясающая техника, только Баха нельзя играть так быстро.
Это не Allegro, это Prestissimo.

Look at the right hand. Super difficult.
Breathtaking. . .so fast. . and none of the 10=string heavynes. . .

Would you kindly link here something you would like to compare, please. Much appreciated. Thanks.

Moran, You play absolutey beautiful. Will you ever play in The Netherlands?
Best version on guitar ever
👍👍👍
Usted enseña a tocar ese instrumento?
Quelle virtuosité.Ce morceau est peut-être joué un peu rapidement et cela manque un peu de nuances.Mais encore bravo😀😀😀
What do you say about his Toccata & Fugue in d-minor?
Birds and bees, dancing in the breeze. . . .
the fastest gun in the west .
How is the instrument tuned?
wouah ! (y)
Who made this guitar?
It's too fast to be enjoyed, like running instead of walking through an art gallery.
you need to flight high and fast to perceive the magnificency of this piece of state of the art
I counted ten strings only -- ? But it is certainly not the same instrument as before.
There are eleven. You can see it clearly on 0:59
Too fast....less is better. Quality of tone...
Very fast ans skillful indeed, but I'm afraid I can't hear any music here, or maybe a reminiscence of Chopin B minor Sonata's Presto?
Why not try a little articulation? 🤷♂️
I think it’s a tick to fast!
Buen "legato"; pero hay que respirar más.
Too much notes
Sometimes is better keeping silence, isn't it?
