Celts beat Bulls in six. Larry always beats Jordan. 84 Celts beats Bulls in six as well. Bulls would give 81 Celts a run but lose in 7. Just the facts.
I really wish they Used Wedman more in those years since he was an amazing forward. He might have been older but he was a starter potential player in another team. Greatest baseline shooter of all time in my opinion. Such an amazing team
Wtf hell no nigga it was Danny Ainge, Bird, McHale, and Parish. Basically the starting lineup was the reason why the Celtics were and still are the greatest team on earth
I hadn´t thought of it for years, but the Celtics of 85´ were the best run of any sports team that I can remember. The best mix of talent of any team in any sport I ever saw.
My sons loved The Celtics, so I loved them too. That’s when basketball was real and men played because they loved the game, not the notoriety that accompanies players today!
Difference between early Jordan and Bird. Jordan got late career George Gervin...a smooth moving, smooth shooting forward that could have taken the pressure off Jordan on certain nights...and ran him out of town. They probably beat Detroit earlier if he’s allowed to stay longer and come off the bench. Bill Walton calls and wants to be a Celtic... “Hell yeah, and it will take minutes off Robert’s knees”
not as easy as you might think considering trading for Walton costed them Cedric Maxwell, which wasnt an insignificant loss. obviously it all worked out though
Walton and Sichting being aquired, put the Celtics way over the top as to playing the absolute best team basketball that I have ever seen, since before and to this day. I have said, often, that watching Bird play was more fun than watching The Globe Trotters, but it became true of the whole team, during that time. I sure miss basketball being played right, like this. I don't watch NBA these days. The traveling, the carrying the ball and turning it over, the running over the defense, flopping, and etc., being allowed league wide, and the games becoming much like games of HORSE, and/or, dunking contests, now-a-days, are just plain sickening for me to try to watch.
My dad will go to his grave convinced the Lakers more or less threw the series against the Rockets so they didn't get embarrassed by the Celtics in the Finals
@@williamrogers9004 Yeah also, up to that point, they hadn't lost a home game, so even if they lost game 5, they more than likely would have closed it out in game 6 at home.
Greatest team ever.
No it's the 96 Chicago bulls

He said the 96’ bulls clown what are you talking about
2016-17 Warriors is the greatest team ever….and it’s not even close
Celtics '86...This was the year I started rooting for all Boston teams!
Bill Walton was the key extra piece that ensured that the 86 Celtics would not be beaten.
I really wish they Used Wedman more in those years since he was an amazing forward. He might have been older but he was a starter potential player in another team. Greatest baseline shooter of all time in my opinion. Such an amazing team
Plus Sichting, Wedman, Carlise...
Wtf hell no nigga it was Danny Ainge, Bird, McHale, and Parish. Basically the starting lineup was the reason why the Celtics were and still are the greatest team on earth
lakers Would Of Won In 86 In Six Games Again
I hadn´t thought of it for years, but the Celtics of 85´ were the best run of any sports team that I can remember. The best mix of talent of any team in any sport I ever saw.
I'm sure he means the team in 85-86.

Wow. I never saw this. Awesome. Gonna watch the whole thing
"Hey, Walton's on the phone. He wants to be a Celtic. What do you think?"
Has to be the easiest question ever.

Looks nice! Cool material :D

83, 84 we're great set ups to get to 85-86
My dad will go to his grave convinced the Lakers more or less threw the series against the Rockets so they didn't get embarrassed by the Celtics in the Finals
Huge disappointment that I didn't get the chance to see them get swept by the Cs.
I've wondered about that 😉
So they would have rather been embarrassed by losing to the Rockets? Good logic.
@@billb.2673 I know it's BS but there's no denying the Celtics would have wiped the floor with the Lakers that year
Goats....
Shut up Danny Ainge. You were the weak link. Getting Walton, Sichting, Carlise, Wedman, etc., it made them too much. Greatest team ever.
This shit's Gold
I see a lot of Payton Pritchard In Jerry Sichting
“Had lenny lived I would have retired after the 88’ season. -Larry Bird
... after winning titles in '87 and '88!
Hell ya
Lakers ruined it losing to the underdog Houston Rockets in the 1986 West Finals
The Lakers would have beat the 86 Celtics
86 Celtics vs 96 bulls
Celtics would have thumped their ass. Celts in 6 games. More intelligent team . No question.
@@garrywilliams5777 crazy the 1996 bulls would have kick there ass
Heh
Hah
Too bad the Lakers didn’t show up to the finals to receive their beating from 85
It was a shame
@Mark L You're right about that one. It would have been payback time in '86.Too bad the Rockets stunned the Lakers
I heard a comment once like "too bad sampson hit that lucky shot" fact is Rockets won that series 4-1 it wasn't luck, they crushed the Lakers
The Celtics probably would have swept them.
