I never knew he was ill at that time and in the end of the documentary they tell how his father is worried about dying before his son. From what I understand, Kim fulfilled his father's desire. What I find particularly amazing about Kim Peek's phenomenal abilities is that despite his perceived disabilities, he is strikingly adept at making rather funny jokes and being quite skillful at humor. At times, he does not even really seemed disabled. I am most intrigued by this absolute genius extraordinaire.
I like the part when he says to the researcher, "you're a good woman" at 8:06 ha ha. Kim is great. I applaud Kim's father for being there with him through the good and bad times. Sir, I take my hat off to you.
