Would you consider making a comparison video between all of the UV Coated cubes you own, your thoughts, how durable the coating is, and honest recommendations regarding the value added by paying more for it? I haven’t seen an in-depth video like that and would really appreciate it
54! That’s wild the mini moyu cubes back in like 2015 were 54. I preferred it back then but these days I definitely prefer 56. It’s better for slice moves and grip, for me at least.
I love how everybody says to tighten the tensions immediately. my YS3M was so tight, i had to loosen each screw 1.5 full turns, and even on the loosest elasticity settings it was still too tight. my YS3M and RS3M were both far too tight and i had to loosen them both and lube and break in. they are 2 of my favorite cubes now.
This seems like the best of almost all worlds to me. Adjustable magnets might be missed but honestly I never felt much of a noticeable difference between the magnet settings of the wrm2o21 maglev and I'm loving the YS3M so far so I don't think it will be a huge deal breaker.
@@leibniz9834 Nothing wrong with a different puzzle, but releasing slightly different 3x3s over and over without enough time for word of mouth to get around, is a bit ridiculous.
See I like looser tensions, so I start light and adjust from there. I don't suggest everyone should do this, but everyone should try both styles. Should challenge themself with both and try to get used to it a bit, as you might surprise yourself. I used to like heavier tensions for stability, but as magnets improved stability I tried looser tensions. This happened first on the 356 X, then each new cube I challenged myself to go lighter. I do this however because the lighter it is, the less muscle strain I get, the longer I can cube. I imagine being a musician, your fingers are far stronger than mine, so what might feel light for you will probably feel heavy to me. To each their own.
100% the last 4 cubes I've mained I've loosened them. You adjust to loose tensions really fast, you don't get tired out as fast, and personally my times have improved a lot. When a cube is looser and less stable, you have to slow down a little to keep your turning under control, and that helps your look-ahead improve.
@@chimchu3232 I find modern cubes are a lot more stable so I don't really loose much stability. But over time, I'm currently on a Gan 12, I find it is a little less stable so I can get the faster turning. However my turn style has become more controlled so it balances out. In the end everyone has their own style and adjustable cubes are great for that. I'm still not that fast, but I like my style. I don't think heavy or light would affect times, I just prefer the feel. It's nice to hear I'm not the only one that likes looser cubes. It seems manufacturers are making them looser so I suspect there's more.
@Commander ZiN yeah, it's pretty much just personal preference at the end of the day, and yes, modern cubes are stable even at loose tensions, so it's easier to branch out and try different setups to see what works best for you
Do update us on the corner twist situation of the cube after you do more solves on it. It seems that the ys3m is on the stabler side and weilong has lighter feel and faster turning. It will ultimately depend on what people prefer i think. Thanks for the review.
wrm v9 probably main differences are the edge piece shapes and the tracks ys3m is more like the rs3m and wrm v9 more like the wrm 2021 the wrm is just an upgraded rs3m wrm>rs3m
Aw I loved my wrm 2021. A lady stole it. My bf bought me the tornado v3 flagship which I like but two corners broke, had to glue them back together and the corner magnets keep falling out I've lost 11 in just 3 weeks. They're still in the corners but I'll have to break them open to reset them. I wish I would of known the new wrm was about to come out I'd of waited and got the ball core version.
Does it feel as good to turn as a cube with white or black internals... Coz I feel that the primary plastic on the inside would feel better than these whole pieces...
There's music throughout, almost the entire video. Any louder, any quieter, would warrant other people requesting changes. If you're not wearing headphones, try that and you might hear it more clearly.

"Aggressively" just usually means inaccurate and no cube on the market made for that. The choice on cube is on size and feeling. Focus on working on accuracy instead of looking for a cube to accommodate.
What is going on at MoYu? I can't keep up with the barrage of releases, Super RS3M, YS3M and now WRMv9. Is there really enough differentiating the 3 different cubes? I'm not sure why the WRM dropped the edge magnet adjustment and the primary internals, feels almost like a step backwards. I was glad I waited after the Super RS3M for the YS3M release, I am happy with that cube but now I feel slightly cheated with the release of the WRMv9. C'mon MoYu play fair, I can't keep buying new cubes every fortnight. If they now release a new line of cubes with primary internals and edge magnet adjustment on top of core magnets and MagLev, I think there may be a lot of MoYu faithfuls getting very P!$$ed off! Me included. So Shawn can you give us poor Plebs any insights to what might be coming next in the MoYu candy toss?
I don't think much difference between the rs3m and ys3m other then slight corner stalk shape, but the difference between the ys3m and wrm v9 is much bigger the whole edge piece is a different shape

MoYu is on a roll. I love the original WRM, I love smaller cubes and I love UV coating so this definitely sounds like a cube for me.

Agree. I'd even be interested in trying something 57, 58 maybe. At least gan in sticking to 56mm while everyone else is getting smaller.

There is zero different in the feeling of cubes based on plastic that is perceivable (especially after lubrication and tensioning).
