I made a growroom and used the luminous block for the roof. It does a great job lighting up whole base!
Indeed. I'm just not a fan of the blue glow.
This is effing awesome! Just one nit pick around 6:35 where you can see the outside world shining through the edges of the roof. That is because this stepped inner block is incorrectly offset by one. If you look how the developers build their houses, they always use double roof layers. So you take those triangle wall pieces and move then one block further towards the outside. Which will make them stick out a bit through the first roof layer and then you slap a second layer on top. No more light leaking gaps. At least that's how the devs build all of their in-game houses.
We just made a wizard tower in my friends town, the very top serves as a launching pad for traveling around the area. Then i made a grappling point in the center of town with a swing grapple that leads to a treehouse.

Loving the hell out of this game, the voxel nature and the terraforming possibilities with materials blending into adjacent... its just incredible. A build idea is to make a city that has been sieged upon, hiding fireplaces inside rubble for the active particle effect, and concealed torches for flames.... the deformation of materials is just as beautiful IMO and it would be cool to see a massive stone fortress that lost it's grandeur to time.

Nice build! I love the flame altar underground. I'm very utilitarian in my builds, so hiding the altar without trying to make it look fancy is the way I would go. 😆

be careful when putting 2 massive bases next to each other. I built a massive base in the same area the game starts you at to build. Then, after 150 hours and building a huge town, i decided to renovate that first town right next to it. My bases actually overlapped and that may have been an issue, because the game started crashing constantly after had the 2 touching building area's. I had to scrap the additional town idea and about 10 hours of renovations so the game would run stable again.

I think this has to do with how shared storage works in bases if they are large. The game seems to get confused when the bases overlap when figuring out what storage an item belongs to. Since you already took down your alter, this advice likely wont help you, but as long as you dont overlap the areas (check with the build hammer) it seems to work. You can make the perfectly adjacent and it seems to be fine.
I've overlapped no problem, but once one base had magic chests, I had the same stability issue. I did get it working by making flame alters exactly 160 away from another one. so touching, but not overlapping.

At 5:35, I noticed you have walls that dont connect to the roof and have a gap. Are you trying to avoid the walls poking through the roof and adding little nubs? I havent done my own builds from scratch, but I have repaired the POI's that are in the game, and the developers build their buildings 2 roofs thick so they can seal the wall to the roof, and not have nubs sticking out. Pretty much every built house you see in game has this style of multi layered roofs. When you lay them on top of each other, they meld together and you wont even notice a difference, other then the nubs wont be sticking out.

89 hours into my build. I am basically combining your village idea and the dwarvin underground city together.. So far I have 4 underground levels that wrap around a cliff side all interconnected to the village and each level. I have no decorations or anything to make it feel like a real place yet but almost done with most of the structure and mining of the area. I am using 4 alters at lvl 4 so I have a lot of room to work with.
The village turned out amazing man, all the little details really made it next level GEEEGEEEEZZ!!! lol.The underground kingdom sounds like a cool idea, looking forward to it.

You could never build something like this in Valheim without the entire game lagging to shit and being unplayable. I have a pretty big base rn on enshrouded and i havent notice a single drop in fps
I built a huge huge city in Valheim and it ran good. I had a castle , big village , big big trading post huge water front im talking about huge huge.
I built mine hovering in the air at the highest point at inner sanctum. I may air it on my channel when it is complete, looks killer, the red of the volcano illuminates under the base . It faces the snow covered peaks of the mountains, needs about another 30 to 50 hours I reckon, very complex build. Love your content mate, followed your channel watching sunken land vids and got this game as I saw you were playing it. Keep up the good work, I know how hard it is to be a content creator so I like and watch every vid
I tried to build there, but no luck on alter placement
@@seethrew I immediately thought the same then realised the game itself allowed a trick! Build an alter on the side, place foundations out to the middle of the volcano and at the height I wanted then on those foundations place ANOTHER flame and voilà! Made sure to place the flame at the height I wanted which was about 5 stories above the top piece of land so I could eventually build steps down to it and place the flame so when I spawn I face those pretty snowcapped mountains (or close enough to it) oddly enough I wanted a build with the points of the blocks facing the mountains and using the massive tree on the next level down as a point of reference and focal point for the build so it worked perfectly! Looking forward to watching your next build mate.

Just a lil note. id like to see a bit more attention to detail, especially around the main hall, the main entrance. the wall was extruding diagonally. maybe out some other material to mark that extrution.
Wait until you see what I have done in today's upload. It's a work in progress, I'm only 1 person and this stuff takes forever but I bet you will like what I have done today.

What an amazing build man.
I mean everything looks great. I am worried that it is affecting FPS. Does it make it harder to run or how does it affect that?
i can feel that it has a little tug with all the lighting. but lighting seems to be the only thing affected. But still rocking 70fps which makes me happy.

Make the seed on the farmer table, and then plant it in dirt

I like your town . try using the thing to make others like the white fireplace the skull candle will fit right in the circle of stone in it . the blue pitcher looks cool with the skull an you can put the bug lite in side of the vase as well nice magic look to it hope this will add to your town great work an keep it going looking forward to the next one

Nice work! I’m working on a medieval town myself, finished the castle a few days ago, got 4 more buildings up last night, castle is level 5 flame max height, with 4 massive parapets on each corner at the top, I Just hit 125hrs yesterday👌🏽 but half my hours have been spent on exploring and gathering

had the game for about a week .. 70 hours ,, lvl 17 having more fun building my empire, doing more building then quests ..lvl 2 time's by just digging out my secret escape route. only problem iv had is it aways glitch's when I first start the game,, but after the first crash it works fine,

@@seethrew that's awesome I can't wait to see the builds and your playthrough on Nightingale. Myth of Empires is so worth trying it out, I was able to convince my friends to give it a try and they all have loved. The 21st is the full release of the game with a new map addition and tons of additional gameplay and items. Either way I look forward to the content and builds that you make with the new games.

I’ve seen ppl with a comfort time of an 1hour and 15 minutes and that equals a comfort lever of 69, you still need work lol
If I was going for comfort level I'd be all over that, it's actually max 100 for 2 hours of rested. But I could care less about that
