Just bought one off Amazon for $470 a week ago. First time buying a phone online and first time getting one that isn't "normal". Upgraded from my dying LG G7 Thing which was great but LG no longer makes or supports it. This thing is awesome. Battery charges insanely fast, speakers are fantastic to me, overall feels great in the hands and I love the pop up triggers. Haven't gamed on phones before but installed CoD and they work very well. Doesn't run too hot to me but haven't tried anything to compare. I have this on T-Mobile and had no problems setting it up. Just ran though all the apps I needed and signed into Google account which synced everything for me and then swapped over the SIM from other phone. Nothing else needed and didn't have to go to the store for any other setup. I highly recommend this thing whether gamer or not. Hope it lasts a good while and at under $500 I have zero complaints.
Still perfect aside from being run over by a car... Cracked the back but works great and still holding a charge all day long. Very happy with it. The only thing I wish was better is the camera but it's not terrible.
My dad got this for about 500 USD a few months ago and it's been great. No issues, so if anyone sees it for even cheaper nowadays then it should be a good buy.
I bought my F4 GT $357 for the 12gb Ram/256gb Rom. The original owner is a gamer that got a job so he got busy so he sold it to me. He owned the phone for 4 months before selling so the condition is like new with charger & box included😅
I got one for 250 used at (seemingly) perfect condition (should be fully in warranty too since it was bought October last year originally), though it's the 8/128 model. The package I was given had a type c to audio jack converter. I need to test the battery some more because I feel it drains a bit faster than it should (so far, accubattery reports a 90% health rating in two cycles). For me, the lack of microsd support and the battery capacity are the two biggest disadvantages as a gaming phone. Otherwise, it's been pleasant to use overall.
@@ChigzTech It does. This is actually the first time I got a phone marked as a gaming phone and I'm getting paranoid about my battery's health, I am not sure if it's draining too fast or not.
Thanks a lot for that great and detailed review. I too only play shooters on my Android and would love to hear your opinion! I currently have ROG phone 5 and his mother board bricked after Android 12 update (1 year of using thanks to Asus) Now I'm thinking which phone to buy. Black shark isn't selling at my country. Red magic cameras are very bad and I do like to take some photos. So I guess I'm pretty much stuck with This or ROG phone 6. It's important to notice that ROG phone 6 cost almost x2 of this phone. What do you think? Also of course I pressed the like button
bro... i literally had the same problem, my unit is rog 5s which died 2 days ago, its 9 months old. More than 75% of asus users in forum complained the similar issue. Asus is a massive dogsh1t for not addressing this issue. they literally dont care about improving the motherboard endurance, they rushed the release of rog 5 without testing its endurance first. and here i am watching for a new phone to buy.
I had one rog phone and would not buy another because of the terrible support. It was a good phone but had to many odd issues that were anoying enough for me to not buy another.
Always love the honesty, & I have been A Xiaomiphile for many years. Hard one to take too seriously, as the cons weigh up. Nice review, but I won't getting this one. Much appreciated. Cheers !
What? hardware speaking the only cons worth mentioning are the inferior camera, which is normally the norm for gaming phones and maybe no audio jack. But yeah I do agree it's the price that makes this phone not worth it, although it's a decent one.
No audio jack is the deal breaker for me. It's non-negotiable that a gaming phone should have it because no TWS exists that is good enough for gaming at any price. The delay is still very noticable and it can be quite a disadvantage when playing shooting games.
aside from the F4 GT having a somewhat higher ANTUTU benchmark, and the slightly different MIUI skin ("MIUI for POCO" skin), they're practically the exact same phone. although to be noted, K50G doesn't come with Google play services and you have to install them manually.
I think the K50 is the Chinese name and Chinese version with Dimensity chipset I think and the F4 GT is the west name and west version with Snapdragon chipset I might be wrong so correct me if I'm wrong

I don't game. I bought this phone for its chipset since I intend to use it to edit my Insta360 videos... and where I live it's the cheapest phone with the new Snapdragon 8. Compared to my old Huawei Mate 20, this thing is fast! And the quad speakers are the best I hv ever heard. My only gripe is that it sucks down the battery rather quickly, although it mitigates this problem to some degree by having an incredibly fast charging capability - never seen a phone charge this fast, even on a regular Baseus 65W USB charging brick!
