Then you don't have a PC with good graphic card, or a good phone. Anything below GTX 1060 isn't considered a good graphic card in 2019 (the year Genshin is released), let alone on 2022.
@@asyrafzara5698 genshin is based on unity engine if you're experiencing lag maybe you should blame your cpu not your gpu... even gtx 1650 can achieve 60fps 1080p with a good pair of cpu
the framerate when playing genshin is not because of the chipset, it's the OS. Xiaomi purposely limit the phone performance and lock the framerate under 45fps after 15 minutes when Playing Genshin (Yes, they specifically target this game) to avoid overheating, but now they've unlocked it and removed the limit, so your game should be stable in 50-60 FPS.
Concerned at the number of people reporting overheating issues with this model but not sure what they are doing to the Poco to cause this as overheating does not seem to be an issue after watching your review.
It has no issues running these games at the stock max settings. If the point is to stress test you should use Grid Autosport or Alien Isolation and manually crack the game to 120fps maxed out settings through the config file. Then you'd actually see it struggle and heat up..
16:22 wdym sd8gen1 cant run genshin in 60s? sd8gen1 gives me stable 60 fps in intense fights on fully maxed out settings and 4xmsaa turned on on redmagic 7 pro, i even forced genshin to run in 120hz and fps lowered only to 52-60
You can see by yourself in the fps meter, and I’m specifically talking about the Poco F4 GT, this result has been the same as I’ve been playing Genshin a lot after this video May I ask how do you turn on 4x MSAA? Since inside the game there’s only off and TAA? Also by saying “forcing 120Hz and fps lowered to 52-60” doesn’t it mean that this is the best the chip could go? I’m genuinely curious about the situation, as I’ve heard and tested a bit of SD870 and seen generally similar results as what I got in this video, which I thought was weird so yeah your info would be much appreciated
I did enjoy the video and love all of your content. Here comes the "but"... It isn't actually 2 hours of total continuous playtime. During the period where you're shutting the game, clearing all background activity, loading the new game and actually getting to game play the phone is constantly cooling. I know that if it was constant uninterrupted gameplay the phone would be far warmer and would certainly be throttling. Other than that keep up the great work.
Well, the 8 gen 1 do capable of running genshin at 60fps even at high settings, but the chip will get to hot for a phone. So most of the phone manufacturer deciced to tune the chip down in order to keep the device cool
It's good that the thermal is doing it's job to keep the temperature of the phone below 42 degrees. However, it's suck for heavy gamers who seeks smoother gameplay.
This video really helps me on picking up a good phone for gaming, since I played most of the game showcased here for the test. -Genshin Impact -Apex Legend -Pokémon Unite -Wild Rift -Dead By Daylight
How do you think about the heat and battery performance test? I consider buying this for semi casual using, switching between social media, chat, and gaming usage. Will the battery sufficient enough? Especially for outdoor using (forest, sea, onshore). Will the heat stay "normal" under those circumstances?
So far the battery has been performing within my expectation for a 120Hz phone, which is about once a day if you're using your phone lightly (browsing, social media, etc) but for gaming it's generally about 20% drop per hour I can't test the phone to your outdoor scenarios, but I've constantly used the phone as a map while driving, (that's GPS, mobile data, high brightness, relatively high heat sunray) and so far I've never had the phone heat up anywhere near while I'm gaming which is good!
@@ahmadyassin891 it's very good. The performance is smooth and handles the demanding games very easily. Especially the software and apps which are exclusive to xiaomi are so so good

I purchased the 8GB/128GB version and I have to say that after a month of owning the device, I'm very impressed with it. The amount of Pros massively outweighs the Cons... If there are any that is! And when you think about all the extra features you get for your money, it's mind blowing. To think that you could buy a Samsung Galaxy S23 or you could buy 5 Poco F4 GTs, that kinda puts the sheer value of the device into very clear perspective!
Can you please tell, how settings you have done on gameturbo? because i play my hero academia strongest hero, and he get's hot, what settings you've have done? standard, balance, high quality? thanks....
I put the settings on Game Turbo at default, only changed the in-game overlay to performance, *and then* I adjusted the settings from inside the app. I found this to be more reliable when tweaking game settings
Hey impressive video! Considered buying this but it doesn't have an under display fingerprint since I got bored of the mounted side one. Is there any budget gaming phone with this feature that you can recommend? I only focus on good performance and good battery life.
Hey thank you for watching first of all! Unfortunately I haven't tested much phones but another alternative I really want to try is the Realme GT2 Pro which happens to have in-display fingerprint sensor. It doesn't have physical triggers though, but looks like a very, very solid phone nonetheless

What do you think am i on a wrong decission? or its better to save money again on poco phone..
Apex has had that issue since Alpha the test. I don't know why the devs aren't fixing it though. It really is annoying especially on lower end hardware. I don't get this same problem on Farlight, CODM, and NewState.
Because apex is a aaa mobile port of a real game not 3 mins matches . And new and up coming console port will require newer hardware. If mobile games want to be considered real gamers and be take seriously it’s time to update phone to be able to play at full potePropel need to thin about how much money they have spent on skins and battle passes in the past 5months to 1 years probably over 1000 easy . All u need it 150-200$ to get an up to date phone and and then 10-15$ on top of your phone bill no one can afford iPhones but you take them out and pay them off just like the rest of us

Selamat pagi bro, like literally when i commented here lol. Just found out ur channel and gotta say, i'm impressed. Ok, right to the point, u're one of few people on the internet that actually know how to test genshin properly. Here's some of my nerdy input. 1st of all genshin in a bandwidth monster, means that it needs a fast storage and memories. Thats why there will ALWAYS be a stutter esp for (graphics) assets loading. Thats just the way the game design. How do i know this? Because even on PC with nvme storage with more that 3GB/s r/w it STILL has that micro stutter. 2nd, the Shadow in Graphics Setting has a lot of impact (no pun) in performance. A lot of people test at low setting but they missed the shadow which still set at medium thus making the fps low. Lastly, yeah, next time you test a phone with genshin, make sure to visit Dragonspine and Inazuma city and look how it handle those particle effects. Anyway, thanks for the test, and i'll see you around. 👊🏻👊🏻
Hugely appreciate the comment! I always aim to keep on improving the tests and analysis, and personally I do experience the storage speed issue as in Poco X3 Pro even the items that we pickup would show up very late, it gets super hard to get the crystals for condensed resins Also I already could think of one teleport point in dragonspine with loads of particles 🤣 anyway thanks once again and hope to see you next time!
Hello good Sir! I would like to get this for Egg NS Switch gaming but I get that thermals issue all the time. I guess this is not the recommended phone for that purpose?
I have only briefly tried the capacitive triggers on the ROG but in my opinion having a real, tactile button is really irreplacable. Though it comes with extra moving parts to fail and less water resistance compared to ROG that is less likely to fail
Conclusion: Get the regular F4 since this one has been set to throttle so much in order to keep temperatures down that it runs even worse than its cheaper sibling. I find it weird that it's often being compared to the X3 Pro here given it costs half the price, has worse storage and the GPU is waaaay weaker (on paper). I was looking for a benchmark of current performance of the F4 GT and to check if it still overheated because my wife's phone died and I was thinking o giving her my F4 and getting a F4 GT, but it seems I'm better of getting another F4 or a F3.
Are we talking about the old old T1 Pro or T10? Because I'm not sure if there is T10 pro And honestly nowadays QCY has come out with newer nicer models so those should be amazing (haven't tried it though) as for PistonBuds they have amazing mics but they are bass heavy, so get it if you like it

pleaze can u tell us wich better earbuds is the best with the poco phone, that have no delai of sound when playing genshin impact.. i have poco f3 and a xiaomi earbuds 2 but there is aa delai
Hello Keen! After using this phone for the past weeks I can definitely say it is amazing for daily use as well, you basically put it to charge 5 mins before sleeping (or after you wake up up to you), then you get all the battery you need for the day In case you game or use the camera a lot, another quick 5 mins top up would be enough!
You know its more important the battery temperature right ? Not the glass or plastic ... And if the telephone is full metal (which is much better for it ,faster cooling not that big battery temperature , and just wont die that fast) so if it would be from metal its externa; temperature would be way much bigger , but that is not bad ..
hey bro im deciding between xiaomi buds 3 lite and haylou gt 1. (they are at the same price 24$ )which one should i buy? i want good bass for edm music.
I'd go for Xiaomi for the better build quality, but it's got quite an elevated treble (along with bass), but really these days don't get the Haylou GT1, at least consider GT3 instead
My current device is Lenovo Legion Duel and I'm playing a lot of genshin impact but the heating issues bothers me so much. Is it worth it to switch to this unit?
Yes but like I said since I've observed that most games will use 4gb normally and really the max is 6gb of RAM you shouldn't notice a difference as long as you clear up all the apps before gaming
Genshin impact is not yet optimized with sd 8 gen 1. So sd 870 still better chipset when it comes to playing GI. Hopefully hoyo will optimzed their game with the new flagship chipset of sd.
I’m curious myself but I doubt it, since we’re not hitting the walls with most games except 120fps on Mobile Legends or long-session Genshin at Highest But, one thing I know for sure is when you add charging/streaming (e.g. to Discord) into play then it will quickly overheat and that’s where a cooler would bring noticable improvement

Anyway, a very good video. Cheers!
i have redmagic 7 pro and genshin runs in smooth 60 fps all the time even after one hour in, its phone fault lmao
Then you don't have a PC with good graphic card, or a good phone. Anything below GTX 1060 isn't considered a good graphic card in 2019 (the year Genshin is released), let alone on 2022.
@@LS-qs9ju nah. I dont think an RTX2060 is a bad graphic card.
@@asyrafzara5698 genshin is based on unity engine if you're experiencing lag maybe you should blame your cpu not your gpu... even gtx 1650 can achieve 60fps 1080p with a good pair of cpu
I played genshin with iphone 12, run smoothly with highest fps
the framerate when playing genshin is not because of the chipset, it's the OS. Xiaomi purposely limit the phone performance and lock the framerate under 45fps after 15 minutes when Playing Genshin (Yes, they specifically target this game) to avoid overheating, but now they've unlocked it and removed the limit, so your game should be stable in 50-60 FPS.
I'm planning to buy this unit. Thank you for this awesome gaming test! Subbed 🙂
I am subscribing because this is one of the best review and right way to review a gaming phone and plus you are a CUTIE!

Hahaha mantap mantap
Concerned at the number of people reporting overheating issues with this model but not sure what they are doing to the Poco to cause this as overheating does not seem to be an issue after watching your review.
The best gaming review for this phone by far👍.
Thank you!
best review. very detailed not just playing the game randomly.
It has no issues running these games at the stock max settings. If the point is to stress test you should use Grid Autosport or Alien Isolation and manually crack the game to 120fps maxed out settings through the config file. Then you'd actually see it struggle and heat up..
16:22 wdym sd8gen1 cant run genshin in 60s?
sd8gen1 gives me stable 60 fps in intense fights on fully maxed out settings and 4xmsaa turned on on redmagic 7 pro, i even forced genshin to run in 120hz and fps lowered only to 52-60
You can see by yourself in the fps meter, and I’m specifically talking about the Poco F4 GT, this result has been the same as I’ve been playing Genshin a lot after this video
May I ask how do you turn on 4x MSAA? Since inside the game there’s only off and TAA? Also by saying “forcing 120Hz and fps lowered to 52-60” doesn’t it mean that this is the best the chip could go?
I’m genuinely curious about the situation, as I’ve heard and tested a bit of SD870 and seen generally similar results as what I got in this video, which I thought was weird so yeah your info would be much appreciated
POCO F4 GT always on my head now ❤️ thanks for your review of this phone I love this power POCO F4 GT 💝
Everything is perfect in this phone except overheating 💔
I am surprised you are actually a genshin player. This is one of the best genshin gaming tests i have seen on youtube period.
Haha well 🤣 I’m glad that all the time I spent for planning the vid was worth your while!
Thanks I’m gonna get it . It looks pretty cool
i love this channel since firsdt time watch this video, continue it bro, congra
Thank you so much! I really appreciate your support and I'll try my best not to let you down 😆
I did enjoy the video and love all of your content.
Thank you for a very solid and detalied review. Greetings from Philippines! 🇵🇭
I'm really glad it was helpful! Greetings from Indonesia as well 🇮🇩
Thank you very much for this. Now I'm really gonna buy it.

Thank you very much! 😆🙏🏻
Go for it Kenneth, i would like to see a comparason between the X3 pro and F4 GT.
Great video.. something different to your normal stuff. thanks..
It's good that the thermal is doing it's job to keep the temperature of the phone below 42 degrees. However, it's suck for heavy gamers who seeks smoother gameplay.
This video really helps me on picking up a good phone for gaming,
since I played most of the game showcased here for the test.
-Genshin Impact
-Apex Legend
-Pokémon Unite
-Wild Rift
-Dead By Daylight
How do you think about the heat and battery performance test?
I consider buying this for semi casual using, switching between social media, chat, and gaming usage. Will the battery sufficient enough? Especially for outdoor using (forest, sea, onshore). Will the heat stay "normal" under those circumstances?
So far the battery has been performing within my expectation for a 120Hz phone, which is about once a day if you're using your phone lightly (browsing, social media, etc) but for gaming it's generally about 20% drop per hour
I can't test the phone to your outdoor scenarios, but I've constantly used the phone as a map while driving, (that's GPS, mobile data, high brightness, relatively high heat sunray) and so far I've never had the phone heat up anywhere near while I'm gaming which is good!
I have it for 3 weeks now. I also have galaxy S22 ultra. I bought this for my brother but I ended up keeping it and giving galaxy to my brother
@@greenlover4522 is it working as smooth as soon as u got it and how is its performance

First time seeing a phone video where they actually play genshin content outside the games intro. Definite sub with the channel. Looking forward for future reviews with newer phones of 2023

Finally someone actually made some solid review on Genshin impact with poco , Hope they drop poco or blackshark with dimensity 9000 somehow..... That would sold me old but for now.... mehh just gonna wait a bit longer and see the miracle in upcoming month.

Nice review!!!
Glad you enjoyed it
Finally, a detailed genshin impact review on this phone. Most reviews i see were just beginners account. They just run around the map and say that it is good.
Glad you appreciated it! I still feel like I didn't do enough justice though, next time I'll do a more in depth review for just playing genshin in different aspects! 😁💪🏻
What software do you use to see the fps and stuff while playing?
I purchased the 8GB/128GB version and I have to say that after a month of owning the device, I'm very impressed with it.
The amount of Pros massively outweighs the Cons... If there are any that is!
And when you think about all the extra features you get for your money, it's mind blowing.
To think that you could buy a Samsung Galaxy S23 or you could buy 5 Poco F4 GTs, that kinda puts the sheer value of the device into very clear perspective!
К минусам можно отнести слабую автономность очень быстро разряжается телефон
Can you please tell, how settings you have done on gameturbo? because i play my hero academia strongest hero, and he get's hot, what settings you've have done? standard, balance, high quality? thanks....
I put the settings on Game Turbo at default, only changed the in-game overlay to performance, *and then* I adjusted the settings from inside the app. I found this to be more reliable when tweaking game settings
@@namedkenn ok thanks, try balanced on gpu turbo it's the best
Nice video 👌🏿
Thanks for that!
New subscriber here! Can I ask what application you used in recording the fps on your device?
Thanks for the sub! For the tool it is called power meter and you can find it in MIUI’s developer settings
Damn... That's a solid Genshin Impact stress test on Poco F4 GT! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
I'm glad you think so! I could immediately think of several improvements but that'll be for next time then 😁
I have a question why does my poco f4 gt only last for 2hr to 3hr if i play games non stop at max graphic but yours last awhile i only bought my phone last week
wow, this once's solid. can you make also a solid and detail review on redmi k50/50pro while playing genshin impact?

Hi Kenneth!
I would just like to ask if the Soundpeats H1 still a good earbuds in 2022? Or are there any better buds out there at the same price?
Yeah absolutely, and prices has gone down to if you like something bassy but still balanced, though honestly you can also get the 3SE which has gotten a chip update so it's cheaper but doesn't sound too different
Otherwise hmm with Soundoeats Mini Pro you got ANC/Transparency but sound isn't as good, so yeah it's about what you need more I think
Thanks so much for the review very professional I love it!
How are the latest updates of this phone?
Say what to do you think is the best gaming phone of 2022?
I don't want the red magic because of its under display selfie camera which sucks
Nice review on genshin btw what app did you use to monitor the fps thanks
Glad to hear that, that's Power Monitor which is a built in tool in MIUI's developer settings
Hey man what's the max FPS for the smooth graphic in PUBG? , i'm looking forward to buy it because it has L1R1
ive been using poco f series since f1 till now f3 and im planning to get this f4 gt but im afraid to do so because of temperature now my f3 is too hot to handle literally when playing genshin impact at 60 fps even i use my black shark fun cooler 2 pro my thumb hurts and feel like burning... the heat on the back of the phone is bearable because of the cooler but the screen heats up too much..im afraid that this might happen on f4 too maybe i can sacrifice a lower snapdragon 888 of rog phone 5 and a higher price tag.
All u need it 150-200$ to get an up to date phone and and then 10-15$ on top of your phone bill no one can afford iPhones but you take them out and pay them off just like the rest of us

i dont focus on camera that much... so which one should i buy or invest more to go for 13 pro or wait months for iphone 14...
I always aim to keep on improving the tests and analysis, and personally I do experience the storage speed issue as in Poco X3 Pro even the items that we pickup would show up very late, it gets super hard to get the crystals for condensed resins
Also I already could think of one teleport point in dragonspine with loads of particles 🤣 anyway thanks once again and hope to see you next time!
Hello good Sir! I would like to get this for Egg NS Switch gaming but I get that thermals issue all the time. I guess this is not the recommended phone for that purpose?
hi, do you think physical triggers on the poco f4 gt is better than those capacitive triggers on the ROG?
Ca u do cod?and see how many fps it got?
So between POCO X3 GT and POCO F4 GT. Which one is overall better?
It's an incomparably overwhelming victory of f4 gt, and x3 gt is a shutdown issue
Out of topic, should i get qcy t10 pro or 1more piston buds? Considering both at the same price range
Are we talking about the old old T1 Pro or T10? Because I'm not sure if there is T10 pro
And honestly nowadays QCY has come out with newer nicer models so those should be amazing (haven't tried it though) as for PistonBuds they have amazing mics but they are bass heavy, so get it if you like it
i personally only had bad experiences with QCY :(
Did you try playing rise of kingdom with it?
Hello , About apex legend from "Golden reviewer" vid from his test he said poco f4 gt will drop frame from around 3 minutes onward which is very different from your vid so which one is true?
I can't say about others but in my experience there are no difference between the first 3 minutes and later, and you can see for yourself in this video
Brooo,
I purchased this device and it reaches very high temperatures when playing Fortnite or Aethersx2 emulator games and I do not feel the cooling system working permanently... When I tried the k40 gaming phone, there was a cooling system that worked when the device heated up and you can feel it during Liquid pumping and the device’s temperature drops quickly... But in my new phone, f4 gt, I don't feel any pumping coming from the cooling circuits, as if they never existed or did not work, even though the device reached high temperatures... Is there a problem with my device or is the circuits Water cooling is just a lie that Boko told us, and it is not present in her new device (F4 GT), unlike the Redmi K40 gaming, which proved that they are honest about water cooling (according to experience)????
pleaze can u tell us wich better earbuds is the best with the poco phone, that have no delai of sound when playing genshin impact..

What is the name of fps shower app ? Plz . And does it work on vivo s1 pro ?
I can say that it’s in MIUI’s developer settings, but not sure about other OS
i have a question is it still the same likenin the video even when the ram is 8gb and 128 storage? since we could not afford the higher ones
What app enables you to show these information on screen?
It's the power metrics tool available in the developer settings of MIUI (not sure with other brands)
@@namedkenn Thanks! I have the POCO X3 GT and I'll look for it in the developer options.
Hello! I don't do games on mobile. If I get this, would the F4 GT last long for communication and social media use?
Hello Keen! After using this phone for the past weeks I can definitely say it is amazing for daily use as well, you basically put it to charge 5 mins before sleeping (or after you wake up up to you), then you get all the battery you need for the day
In case you game or use the camera a lot, another quick 5 mins top up would be enough!

If i choose the 8gb+128gb version, does it good ?
The version that you tested in the video is 12gb+256gb right ?
Yes but like I said since I've observed that most games will use 4gb normally and really the max is 6gb of RAM you shouldn't notice a difference as long as you clear up all the apps before gaming

That's power metrics in developer settings
Genshin impact is not yet optimized with sd 8 gen 1. So sd 870 still better chipset when it comes to playing GI. Hopefully hoyo will optimzed their game with the new flagship chipset of sd.
Nope, SD8G1 is just a bad chip design. Better opt for Dimensity 8100 or 9000 for new phones or just get the Poco F3.
I wonder if using a cooler could improve the performance
I’m curious myself but I doubt it, since we’re not hitting the walls with most games except 120fps on Mobile Legends or long-session Genshin at Highest
But, one thing I know for sure is when you add charging/streaming (e.g. to Discord) into play then it will quickly overheat and that’s where a cooler would bring noticable improvement
Im glad that i pick Redmagic 7, solid 60 fps for genshin and apex or any games that i throw on it. Sadly its still not optimized on some other games for example codm which the game i played the most, but still waiting for the update.😆
