I loved this movie man they did really good even with voice over in English still dope
Yeah we sometimes try to shot movies in two takes, one with English and one with our language, but this one was more to amuse ourselves with a monster movie, so it doesnt look like they went for the English take. However, we tend to rely on English audiences since Scandinavia is a tiny market, so its somewhat weird. I mean, this movie would have had some international market even if its based on playing with local folklore.

Its a comedy take. Most of us (Norwegians) have seen Skull island, making this a fun insert. They fumbled a few things, like the father who would have picked up the kid instantly and ran with the child, not trying to shield the son from a falling heli, but its fine I guess.

Literally until the the troll king heard the bells he was just confused as why the humans are running and where the other trolls are,and even when the helicopter was falling he caught it before it could crash on the father and son because our troll king himself Is a father,so he understands the responsibility of being a parent .

@@ramram349 Depends on the audience lmao. Godzilla and Kong are both great to watch if you want to see kaiju beating the crap out eachother, unmatched in that regard. But if you want to watch a "monster" with obvious emotional depth attempting to interact with an unknown world in any way possible, that is truly Trolls domain. They try portraying emotion through kong, and it is there, but with this Troll you get to see a range of complex emotions shown so well that you can tell what the troll is thinking from just the look in its eyes, the same cannot be said of Kong.

The original troll movie was amazingly done, and I want to say it came out before the whole Kong thing. It's funny in that if someone observes a movie that has something similar, the instantaneously think it's been copied. That would imply almost every single movie that has come out has been copying movies prior to them, may they be military based or War based, creature-based whatever it is, they are all copying each other.

This movie was meh. Not shitty, not great. The kaiju vfx spectacle is quality but there's like nothing else to appreciate. It should have alot more mythological lore or a grand personified symbolism to have a unique cultural atmosphere of its own.
