It always aggravated me so badly how quickly the orcs turned back to Guldans side after him killing 3 of them lol. Its like they respected their tradition but didnt respect it enough to die for it anymore.
Fear of death is a powerful thing used to scare people into following you, but still, you make fair point

He was easily my favorite guy in this whole damn movie.
But I loved how Orgrim had his back at all times...but yes, it was sad he died this way CHEAP way, Orgrim stood up for Durotan cause he knew Durotan couldve won if he didnt get cheated. Thats why we got Orgrimmar.
in the game's lore Durotan died to assassins.

I still remembered when this came out people really hated it. Its shameful it was decent movie who deserved sequel. I hate toxic wow fans. They killed this franchise.

The Old Orc was getting Beat, he cheated by using Magic in a duel between Warriors. There's no greater shame for an Orc and his ancestors

That's what one nameless and furious orc even said in the novelization to the movie, a remark some thought he would die for in front of everyone, luckily for him he didn't because Gul'dan already ruined his reputation enough for one day.

Guldan was such a cool villain. The guy operating in the green suit did a great job.

Would be nice to get more WoW movies because it was so well made and theres still so much untouched lore.
This movie had alot of pacing issues namely that it has to rush the story of WC1 a bit too eagerly, but if it had been a proper saga, maybe 4-5 movies that encompass the entirety of Warcraft 1 to Warcraft 2 and beyond the dark portal, it would have been a roaring success.

i love this scene except for the part where the orcs just go right back to serving Gul'Dan.
Like i get the fear if death is powerful but those are warriors of the horde who arent really supposed to be scared of death.
Kinda makes Durotans sacrifice meaningless cos theres no consequences to Gul'Dans actions for a long time from this fight.

The writing and directing were what held back this taking off as a movie franchise. Some of the character decisions were just mind-numbingly stupid. You can tell they didn't know wtf they were doing with Medivh's character. They had so many great actors in this movie too, just wasted talent. Really wish this had been executed better.

I still can't believe this movie flopped. This was way beyond its time
The only issues I have with this movie is that they try to fit 3 novels into 1 movie. Also, there are some plot that are inaccurate in the game which was the disappointment factor for me

Some commenters surmised that this was a loosely based on the tv show “boondocks”
Really wished they made a series out of this instead. First season would be about the rise of the horde and prelude to the dark portal. Second season would be about the dark portal. Third maybe divided into two parts about tides of darkness and the last guardian. All this to conclude Warcraft 1.
