    This video makes me wish I made my nest for my fire ants more visible to see how big they truely are, I believe I only have a few months left before the whole container is filled with fire ant larvae leaving no more hiding spots in the coconut husk for the brood to hide

    I remember getting a expensive ant colony, getting all the food and stuff for them, just for not getting the ants I bought. I gave up after a few times of paying but nothing for it.

    In the south like in Texas these ants are so common even ant keepers often kill these queens.
    I live in SD and just wish I could get a viable invicta queen to start a colony 😢

    Ive been wondering if fire ants live in paradise california because fire ants are my dream ant colony because they grow FAST and it is satisfying to watch them grow an empire, so if you live in Paradise California and see fire ants LET ME KNOW ❤

    Did you literally just grab the old setup swarmed with fire ants out? How did that go? Also how bad is a sting from these guys because I have yet to be stung and kept them for 3 years growing in the thousands..

      When a colony reaches its peak the queen lays a queen ant then that new queen leaves and mates continuing ant life ( this was a guess lol idk if it was true )

    So sad that they have become illegal to keep here in Europe even though they are not inbreeding and a monogynous species. The ban is unlogical because they can't stand cold temperatures and do not inbreed. Tetramorium bicarinatum and Monomorium subopacum makes more sense to be on that list (I am not saying they should) than Solenopsis geminata.
