In this tutorial I explain how to achieve the presented glitchy, wavy audio spectrum thing effect using instancing, feedback and displace. IG: @elekktronaut
Super inspiring stuff, I only had to stop really often because of the pace, and there's a lot of steps assumed for beginners like me, sometimes I miss you would explain why you choose to pick one node or the other, but I guess I have to do my basic homework ;) Keep it up!!
One of the best tutorials for any program/app i have ever watched. I could easily follow you and you gave a lot of necessary information in such a short ammount of time. Thanks!
holy moly! absolutely love it! never tried touch designer before, but downloaded it for this tutorial, followed it step by step, and have now got this amazing first patch to just experiment with. beautiful! love it! thanks a lot! :) subbed!
Thank you so much for what you do on this channel! It has inspired me greatly to follow along about once a week and after a couple months I finally feel as though I am grasping the program in a creative sense. I appreciate what you do!
Thank you for posting your tutorials. They are very helpful, and i know how much work they take. However, as some constructive feedback I'd recommend one thing: slow down - especially when adjusting parameters. Even with two monitors, I don't think most beginners can keep up with you. I find myself having to stop/rewind/restart your videos very often - and more than any other person's content on this subject. Very often, you move so quickly that if one is following along, they will completely miss an important step. Speaking from experience as both an tech instructor and content creator. Remember that someone may be watching this and following along in TD - not just watching for technique hints. Give them time to build as you go! Otherwise, the content itself is very good.
Thanks for your honest feedback. I've heard this before and I'm trying to do this in my newer videos :) I'm just learning this too, never been a teacher before..
very straightforward and great tutorial! Hope you could take more time to explain the role and meaning of the nodes and settings you've chose but overall a great help!
I just completed this as my 2nd ever tutorial (I did your 7th as my first ever) Any other TD artists you follow on YT? Will be doing more of your tuts, thanks so much!
Awesome! Really big thank you sir! Made step by step with your tutorial, and!!!!! I’m made amazing fx for my sound! Really big thank you sir for good lesson!
Bro legit thank you for everything , like honestly for providing such amazing tutorials and leting us also create most epic shit there is in the multiverse, like bro respect
Hello, thanks for the video! I wanted to ask if you are also interested, then write a similar guide, but with the addition of stable diffusion, thanks again, useful videos
I really love your tutorials, super sweet and beginner friendly! One simple question! Why we need to resample these channels again before the parameters finally run into geo?
Hi there! Thanks for the tutorial, it was very effective :). I am knew to this software and english isn't my first language so I find it a bit hard to get around. This was actually the first project I have ever done on TouchDesigner and it turned out really good thanks to your tutorial! The only issue I have is saving it as a video, can you please explane to me how to do so? thanks in advance!
Absolutely love this tutorial - many many thanks! Can anyone explain: When I add the render node, it seems to pick up inputs from the grid node (right over on the left hand side of the network) and doesn't output the circles... Who can help?
Very inspiring. My third round of trying, however, I can't seem to rotate the circles with ty. They just "shake" rather than move at all. Anybody has an idea?
Hey , i had a same problem as you, but as I checked I put 'auidiofile out' not a 'audiodevice out' after audiofile in . i hope you sorted out already !
thank you for all these tutorials! learning so much! One q, I don't see any colors when I apply spec to the Instance 2. Is it because I am using the free version of TD? I am also on a mac! any help is appreciated!

Does anyone know how to turn on wireframe view mode on the grid SOP ? (5:00)
Thanks for your excellent tutorials! I am wondering can I combine this with Tutorial 11 Topographic Grainy Noise to make the topographic noise change with audio?
Hi Bileam. Another great tutorial. I'm getting everything to work but the size. For some reason when I update the Geo scale to "size" the circles get so large everything turns white. I tried using an audio filter to limit the size but still the circles are too big. Maybe I need a more minimal audio file. I'll keep trying different ideas. But overall still I'm learning so much from your videos!
@cheetahlion79 to solve for this - adjust the math operator after the rename size operator. On the To Range .2/.2001. It was at 3 which was too high for the song I'm using. Something much lower but larger than .2 will likely work for you.
Hi Bileam! This is my 4th tutorial Im doing with these videos and its amazing! I have one problem, came up to the circle/render part at 9:30 and my circles don't split, its one line. I can't figure out which module is controlling that for the last 2hours, redid the thing twice now :D
@@spenzakwsx4430 Hi, my computer broke about a month ago so I don't have the file, but if I remember correctly, for some reason it was the audio I was feeding it, seems like the circles not separating for me was the "audio filters" didn't filter it very precisely , so the background "boom" in my audio track was percieved as a motion the system needs to track. Either way playing with the first half of the modules on the left (audio>filters>channels part) fixed it for me suddenly. Hope it helps, Ive also learned that for me deleting a module and reinserting it didn't reset the values so fixing stuff was complicated or seemed like nothing happened.
I had this same issue, what fixed it for me was that I had accidentally picked "Same Rate, New Interval" in the first resample instead of "New Rate, New Interval". Instant fix for me, hope this helps!
Amazing staff - finally somebody with inspiring tutorials (:
blew my mind the moment you dropped that displacement in

Great tutorial, I recreated it but it's way too sensitive, the incoming audio is way too much it seems, any ideas on this?
