Hi, I came across your tutorial on animation in Particles. I’m having an issue: I’m following your steps, but in this module, the particles just line up, and the "Interpolate Sourced Point" option can’t be disabled. Could you please tell me what I’m doing wrong? Thank you so much in advance! (I just started working with this, so I apologize if the question seems silly.)
Hi, if the parameter you can't edit is yellow, it means that it is in the read-only mode. You can uncheck it by clicking mouse right button on the parameter name -> Toggle Read Only mode. As for the particles lining up, make sure your model was imported properly and looks the same way as mine on previous steps, also you may need to increase the size of the model (Fbx COMP -> Xform tab -> Uniform Scale parameter).
Hi, thank you! You can find how to rotate the model at 09:53 (if you need another angle - tweak another rotation parameters). To make custom animation you may want to use Animation COMP, I recommend to read a documentation or watch some tutorial on how to use it first. It's easy to work with, but may be not clear for the first time. To render the butterfly use Movie File Out TOP, you should connect it to the the output ('null1' operator in the tutorial). Good luck:)
I have used sop to chop and connected to particlesGpu and the particle part is not as the butterfly moves😢, it becomes a single line instead. I noticed that the chot to image is just a black line, not like in the clip, so I think the cause may start there. Do you have a way to fix it please?
Hi, to be workable, your file should have capture attributes. You can verify it has them by middle-clicking the ImportSelect SOP (with already assigned Geo Path) and looking for Point Attribute pCapt, Detail Attributes pCaptStr and pCaptData in the bottom of the window. As far as I know, TouchDesigner supports only animations on the root transforms of geometry, blend shapes and skeleton animation, so if you're importing the model done with, let's say, C4D modifiers, I have no idea how to make it work without going back to C4D and remaking the animations. But I'd clarify this on TD forum, maybe I miss something: transferring geometry between softwares is a tricky thing. Also this can happen when you're using .fbx that contains multiple meshes. In this case you want to create multiple Import Select SOPs assigned to each mesh, then connect each Import Select SOP to its own Deform SOP and then combine Deform SOP's outputs to a Merge SOP. Then add a Sprinkle SOP and follow the tutorial!
Beautiful tutorial! Thank you very much for sharing this. You are awesome! I love this!!!
Great tutorial! i would suggest using a pop filter for the mic next time as its really poppy
haha yes please
Amazing tutorial, thank you!!
I love this! Thank you so much. You have a great voice, very ASMR.
Ayooooo
crazy . so fantastic . thank u for making this tutorial ! .
whoa awesome. going to go try this right now lol
Great tutorial, thanks! I'll even try to connect this idea with the kinect )
Was trying to figure this out for a while! Thank you :)
when you started changing the colors in particles gpu, I think I said wow out loud 10 times hahaha
The tutorial is great. Where can I get a butterfly model?
Hum thanks for the tutorial but can't import the .fbx to TD
it doesnt have a fbx file, would you mind sharing it with us >?
How can I add more than one butterfly ? great tutorial! thanks!
I don't see the .FBX file in the download from your link.
it doens't have one, she opened it up in blender to export as fbx
@@VORxpLogin how can I? TT

This is a really good tutorial.I want to render a butterfly by rotating its angle. Is there any way to do this?

what version of touchdesigner are you using ?
Anya - there's TOO much compression on your mix. i cant hear what you're saying through the sound of your other mouth sounds.
@@gogreyhoundmusic Haha, I’ve already fixed it in the recent videos:)
Hey, I can't access to the link to the 3D model you put on the description. It's kind of shorten form as it has "...." instead of the full link
Hi, thanks for letting me know. Fixed this!

It may happen when your model is too small, try to significantly increase its size in the Fbx COMP (Xform tab, Uniform Scale parameter)
@@anyamaryina it’s work!! Thank you so much 😻👍🏻
@@anyamaryina i was having the same problem, you saved me!!
Can I make it separately and use it commercially?
Sure :) But the butterfly model isn't mine and it requires attribution, you can find more info via the link in the description.
Sorry, in my case doesn't work. When I apply the deform, it says "no capture attribute exist".

@@anyamaryina thank you for the quick answer, I'll do my best to make it work.
