Funny that you mentioned her meeting Rex Splode, because there are actual comics of THAT origin story too! It is highly speculated (but not confirmed yet) that we may get a similar special origin episode for Rex between Seasons 2 and 3. Fingers crossed!
We watched Eve switched at birth, her parents have idea she isn’t their natural born child. Their child died and then Eve was brought to them under the guise she was resuscitated.
Loved this special episode. Poor Eve had such a traumatic childhood. The scene with her siblings made me so sad. It made me understand her a lot more in the main story. I think they should do them with other characters in between seasons though
I think eves better in her parents house cause if it’s not them disrespecting her it’s the government disrespecting her in a way of being abusive she was stuck between two bad places
this episode makes atom eve supremely adept, confident and frankly OP from a very young age, but somewhat inconsistent with the eve that we were introduced to in the second episode of season 1, who tells mark: "everyone freezes their first time. i used to throw up before every fight. barf my guts out. like a fire hydrant. you'll get used to it -- the fights, not the barfing."
Even ignoring the bit with her breaking past the mental blocks, kid Eve seemed to be a lot more creative and talented with her powers. Honestly, through most of season 1, all she really did was fly and make force fields.
@@aarrgghh What are you talking about? She has so much trauma that lying to protect herself and it sounds like Rex too has been necesarry. Being nice to Mark with a lie to make him feel better is something anyone might do, let alone someone as heroic as she is.
@@Dunybrook we're just gonna have to agree to disagree. eve is one of the most honest and sincere characters in the series. when has she even told a "white lie"? and the fact that young eve from the special used her powers far more creatively than adult eve suggests that the writers of the special just wanted more pizazz from her, which introduced inconsistencies. not even young eve from her original comic book origin story has the confidence that the tv version displays.
Eve has nothing good in her life like she has always had a toxic relationship with her father she lost her friend due to her powers she kinda killed her siblings from the government that wanted to use her as a weapon see her creator die in her face with her siblings and above all that she had the toxic relationship with Rex more toxic than her own parents
Eve is so cool. The Le Tigre song drop when she first sneaks out in the mask is perfection.
Rip Lance Reddick 😢
Man Lance did great here. Rip Commander Zavala.
They live in a world full of heroes and villains with powers beyond understanding. I don't see how Eve's powers can be any different.

Her greatest failure is the fact she could of used that power to revive her family bit she used it for revenge instead.
eve is so badass
This special had great animation. Better than anything in the main series.
Being a stand alone thing between seasons, possibly had less time constraints

Eu simplesmente fiquei viciado em assistir o seus reacts kkkkkk só esperando a segunda temporada ❤
And if it’s not eve parents disrespecting her it’s Rex who is disrespecting her in a toxic way

i always figured that line she told mark was just something she made up to make him feel better
@@Chmmr -- that doesn't sound like the eve i'm familiar with. she seems like someone who'd know how to comfort without lying
