Good video and reminders we have an almost 2yr old Choccy Lab and love her to bits. I totally agree about the guilt haha if she doesnt get walked, she doesnt complain but I feel like a bad owner. My kids just play with her and she loves all the attention.
I often hear chocolates aren't as easy to train....I don't know if that's actually the case or simply that they're not as common so less chances for them to be brilliant lol Guide dogs tend to always be yellow, but again I don't know if that ACTUALLY means they're easier to train (my yellow Lab is a nightmare lmao)
So true about how forgiving they are… it literally makes you feel guilty! They teach me so much about myself. By far and away one of the best breeds!

Great advice… people underestimate the energy required to keep a dog.. you’re essentially getting a new family member that needs attention/care
my chocolate lab comes home Dec. 30th and all you’re videos are extremely helpful!!! thank you for easing my mind during this preparation time (:
Ive owned much harder breeds for 30yrs. Mine is a doofus but can't help but love him. Iq is kinda daft but has a good heart.
What dog would you recommend for Hiking, mountains, etc but would be easy going for apartment life.?
Is there any difference between different colours?
Very little. There is some genetic propensity towards less trainability for chocolates, but it is unlikely to be noticed by most. :)
Someone I know used to the initial training for service dogs , at the time they had never had a choccy pass the tests

@@lailahepburnandmischkanothing to do with brilliance. The chocolate tends to be hyper and stubborn & needs lots of attention
@@lifeisgreat1718 missing my point apparently...
What happened to Marley 😅 his owner effed up real bad.
My labrador HATES other dogs tho. Lol I even socialized him as a puppy and now he hates everyone that's a dog😂
