I agree our six month old black lab loves the water. He dives in on lakes, rivers, ponds during our walks. He even walked over a canal which made his coat stank. But we love him to bits, he’s very friendly, very good at following commands and always keen to please the family.
Also, if you’ve never had dogs before, both breeds are a fantastic choice for a beginner. Still beware that getting a dog is like a prototype of having a child.
Will- Do you recommend a Lab or Golden for a family with active (and loud) four year old twin boys? I have experience with dogs but my husband doesn't. Thanks!
@Fenrir we just got a chocolate lab retriever. Everyone keeps saying they are very active more than the yellow and black labs. Is this true ? And he is biting everything in the home, since he is only 13 weeks
Is it problematic to buy a lab or a goldie if I only have a small apartment of like 20-30 square meters? Ive heard different opinions on this. Some say its suboptimal but others say its ok if the dog gets enough outdoor activities.
Thanks for watching! We have a video on one of our other channels looking a the person dog breed for an apartment that you might find helpful: ruclips.net/video/uB4VRUjuLlM/видео.html
i absolutely love your Chanel, but I don't seem to find any video that explains the difference between the English labrador and the American one. thank you in advance :)
Check stonnie dennis videos on topic . I am an experienced lab owner and main difference is uk variety is a bit laid back (slightly less energetic) stocky look especially bum and head, motor skills not as good as US variety. If you are not going hunting or super active life style- get uk variety- look super cute.
He wants to have them on, but has no control over it. I don't recall the exact problem, but I believe that, to his frustration, RUclips turned them off for some reason that he has explained in the past.
@@seadog915 i found one its a small coloured rugby ball rubber toy you can get on amazon 3 in a pack about £7.00 . Also found another toy fruit rubber shapes in nortcutts garden centre £4.00 each
@@silvana11221122 Thanks! The only (toy) he has now is a bull shin bone. He sleeps in a closet in my bathroom, and at night it makes a lot of racket. I started using youtube dog music (mostly raggae) with an old phone. It works great and he will sleep all night! It also works great during storms.

My Yellow Lab hates to get wet and avoids water, unless it is in her water bowl.
Is it possible you could make a video with labrador vs Nova scotia duck tolling retriver🙏🏼

Which would you say is more loyal to their single owner...lab or golden?
I have 3 labs wouldn't change to any other breed
You didn't mention arthritis which is prevalent in this breed as they age
Is there a reason comments don’t work on the main channel?

The Labrador is the guy that lives in a small village, golden retriever is the cousin that lives in the big city.
That's pronounced "Duke Of Buck-lew" not "Buckluck" :)
My lab weighs 100 pounds he only 1 year
we need help our lab retriever eats everything :(
Mine does too! I haven't found toy that he can't tear apart! If I don't get it away from him, he will swallow the pieces.
