I just come across with this channel, these videos are so valuable, to see something different, which might not fit into the bigger channels "theme". Thank you for these personal content!😁
I have an idea for your room to organize your repair tools. I repair consoles too and I make use of the ikea skadis system to neatly organize all my tools on the wall. I also bought a 3d printer, so I could print special fitting attachments for the tools to attach them to the skadis pegboard. It works great! Much recommended. If you have any questions let me know :)
Hey Steve! Love the videos. The desk looks so clean from the other side of the camera, wasn’t expecting that. Good luck with the channel, and the journey to a million subscribers. You will definitely get there!
This is a great video. Lots of respect for you Steve. I understand all of what's going on and it's a fantastic set up! All the camera equipment and repair stations, haha it's such a wonderful thing for RUclips but so complex as a business + RUclips. Glad you chose RUclips as a full time thing, very smart. & You have so much potential with your channel. Keep on moving forward Steve!
I always wondered what your studio looked like. Just goes to show how much you can do with a relatively small space when the focus is in the right place. I can only see things going up and up for you and your channel. Loved the Xbox Elite vid today, that sure was a tricky one. I've had to repair 3 of them and they're by far the most complicated controller I've worked on. I always try sticking to the regular Xbox one controllers, less parts to diagnose lol.
You can do a lot with less than ideal conditions/equipment. So many RUclipsrs have big fancy studios...which is great and I would like to have one at some point, but it's not needed in most cases. Nice work on the controller repair.
Hello steve, im actually pretty young and im just asking if i could already start training but most importantly if i can start buying broken things from ebay or any other website and then repairing it and selling it just to get some pocket money. Btw im pretty busy bc of school but i can mostly do things friday and on vacation.
Small space but all good quality equipment.....fluke multimeter .....hakko soldering stations etc etc.....did you start out with cheaper equipment then invest as your business grew??
Did you ever get any formal training or were you self taught? Another question. Did you do just gaming consoles in the end of your business or other things as well
I want to start repairing electronics as well but I am scared of breaking the item even worst and having to pay the customer. Have this ever happened to you?

Freaking amazing!!! Where all the magic happens. Seeing this is phenomenal 🙌 lol very exciting
Glad you enjoyed!
@@StevePorter yes sir. I been binge watching your channel since about a month ago lol, I still have alot to see, I'm hooked .
I really like the microscope! I'm still new to repair so I've been working in my garage lol
The microscope makes it fun to work on tiny stuff. A garage works great!
what lens do you use for your overhead shots with your 80d camera? your amazon link lists 3 lenses.

Yes, that's exactly what I did!
What's a good beginner's soldering and hot air station
By chance do you know some semi-cheap microscope options??? I've been trying to get into repair and I just need solder wick and a microscope
This is the one I started with and it works fine (Paid Affiliate Link): geni.us/eqAw
@@StevePorter thanks man I'm a big fan of the channels so I figured I'd ask for advice from the best
Do you have a link for that smartphone holder tripod thing? It looks helpful
The Omnivise? Here's the link (Amazon affiliate paid link): geni.us/EtZA
@@StevePorter thanks, but i meant the gray smartphone holder at 4:30 :)
Oops...sorry about that. Here it is (Amazon affiliate paid link): geni.us/ApBqV
I am in a trade school for electronics.
I didnt now that fixing consoles was possible by a normal electronic repair
I'm not trained in electronics repair so I'm just a normal person that learned how to fix this stuff on my own.
Did you ever get any formal training or were you self taught? Another question. Did you do just gaming consoles in the end of your business or other things as well
Hello
Hi!
hey steve
Hi!
I want to start repairing electronics as well but I am scared of breaking the item even worst and having to pay the customer. Have this ever happened to you?
No...I didn't offer it as a service until I was very comfortable with fixing them.
SolDering. With a freaking L
Actually it can be either. It's different depending on which country you're from.
@@StevePorter Not so. Americans even used to say it with the L until the last couple of decades. How do you pronounce “Soldier”? Sodjer? Sodier?
