My Private Beach is BLOCKED & I Bought Something Every Farm Should Have!
Buying property that hasn't really been taken care of has its challenges. There's been several heat waves along with wildfires that have made it extremely hot and smoky so I haven't made as much progress as I wanted. Every bit counts though and I've got a beautiful place to work!

Why I Closed My Successful Game Console Repair Business
Просмотров 22 тыс.4 года назад
I closed my profitable game console repair business. At first this sounds like a pretty dumb idea, right?! I decided that OK wasn't good enough. My goal in business is to try to reach as many people as possible so this is what I de...

I have an idea for your room to organize your repair tools. I repair consoles too and I make use of the ikea skadis system to neatly organize all my tools on the wall. I also bought a 3d printer, so I could print special fitting attachments for the tools to attach them to the skadis pegboard. It works great! Much recommended. If you have any questions let me know :)

I know this is an old video, but I'm coming up on my highschool graduation soon in may and im looking for something to start and found your channel and the restoration channel, and I began studying your videos and im about to start my own business right now I'm starting out with controllers since i only have those tools to clean up and repair, but I'm having some doubts since i don't have a main source of income and I'm hoping this will work and profit from this, would there be any good background knowledge before such as certain college classes/ certificates i would need to have to be successful?

I was just gonna ask a quick question I’ve been doing soldering for 3540 years probably even more than that and I have the worst luck. We’ve always use Weller. I have tried some of the big, soldering consoles, and they always go dead on me, and like a year, what do you recommend as far as soldering iron? Do you use the console with a heat gun I’d appreciate some help because I needed to get a new one so bad and I just don’t wanna waste another hundred dollars again

I Steve! I just started watching you doing repairs a couple weeks ago. I am fascinated and love electronics I just don’t have a lot of education. When I was younger, I used to solder towers, now I’m 50 and collect gaming systems. I would like to sort out how to repair anything electronics right now I have started a project working on a coleco, modding RF to composite rca. Installing ground controller parts that sort of thing. My question is what kind of education do you have? How much will i need to “study” to keep up or will learning basic component identifying and watching lots of videos

I'm still doing this for a hobby and never really intend to make it into a business. It's nice to do something I love for a hobby ánd bringing in some money while doing so. Thanks, Steve <3

I have watched quite a few of your videos and have really enjoyed being able to see the scope of your business going from startup to where it is now. Out of curiosity, do you know how much time it took for you to progress from being just a solo businessman doing repairs to feeling like it was too much to do that and shipping, and hiring out your mother-in-law to help out with shipping? Thanks!

Unless you want to work at DKOldies as a suggestion is that you must try cleaning inside and out, refurbishing and repairing game consoles and their controllers. I noticed many unhappy dissatisfied people felt DKOldies ripped them off with such lies. Please try your best is that I know you are truthful, loyal, and honest making sure you know how to do them professionally, including cleaning all game console insides with isopropyl alcohol.

Just came upon this, and I've been looking at starting my own side gig restoring and flipping old gaming consoles to help me through university, namely gameboys and other classic handhelds but other classic consoles are cool too. I hold a particular attachment to consoles from the mid 90s to 2010 or so as I grew up with them. I'd even love to learn to code my own games for them. I'm really eager to see how I can use my 3D printers and CNC machine to help make some crazy cool customized gameboys. Working with circuit boards is also very fascinating to me. However I also know Nintendo especially can be nasty with people tampering with their consoles for profit... What would your advice be?
